3 The Scoop

It has been a day later, since Doctor Aukuma released me. I have felt great, until today. My skin was rough like sandpaper. My tongue was dry from the Arizona sun. I got upto get a glass of water from the kitchen. I look towards the fridge at my BOGO coupon for The Scoop. The Scoop is an old style ice cream shop that is set up like a drug store. They serve unique styles of ice cream and toppings. The Scoop is a big company. They first started out in Sunnydale, California. Anyways, I change my mind that I don't want water. I grab the coupon and head over to The Scoop.

At The Scoop...

I'm walking through the turn dial door. I enter the ice cream parlor with the smell of fresh buttered popcorn, the smell of vanilla, and the songs of an old jukebox playing in the background. I go into line. The worker was the sister to the founder of The Scoop.

I say, "Why are you in Arizona, Kendra?"

Kendra says, "I am settling down. I want to retire soon. How can I help you, Ms.Kelti?"

I respond, "A double of matcha raspberry in a waffle cone."

The total rang up as being $1.20. I gave her the money.

I said, "Have a good one? Your gonna have a great time in Arizona."

I walk to sit down at a booth. I finish my ice cream as a thunderstorm begins to start. I try opening door after door after door. None would budge.

Kendra says, "The Scoop buildings have a security feature that locks all the entrances and exits, while a storm persuades on. Tell me when it's done."

She walks to the back. I think back to how I made the doctor believe that I was gonna be okay and that I was ready to go home. I controlled his belief by talking. Let me try to make the building open its doors.

I yell, "The thunderstorm has stopped. Open at once."

The doors unlock. I run out of The Scoop with excitement. I have powers.
