1 Prologue

The Evandel Empire, the empire that rules over the central part of the Natra Continent.

Bearing the symbol of the Golden Eagle, it is one of the five strongest countries on the Natra Continent. It's imperial capital, Althea is still prospering to this day. In the middle of Althea, standing a Royal Palace where the Royal Family living.

"Why I still unable to use magic, Damian-san?"

"You still child, His Highness Leonidas. I believe you will able to use magic soon. So please continue your training."

"But If I can't use magic, I will be mocked by everyone. Why do my other siblings can use magic, even they are younger than me?"

"Please don't be disappointed, Prince Leonidas. You are the smartest Prince among your brother, so even you can't use magic, you can help His Majesty to develop our Empire. Magic stuff can be learned when the time has come to you."

At the training ground, there are 2 people having a conversation.

A nine years old boy with blonde hair and handsome appearance is Leonidas van Evangelist. He is the crown prince of the Evandel Empire. He has 2 little brothers and 1 little sister. But they are showing their talents since they are 7 years old. Despite Leonidas was training every day, he still can't use magic and that makes him depressed.

He doesn't want to be mocked because of his incompetence, but this problem can't be solved just with knowledge. He is smart but he can't do anything with his talent.

In the Arendel, there are existences called God. God will give you talents since your birth, so Leonidas isn't the exception. But his talent is useless compared to his sibling. While his sibling gets strong talent from Royal Bloodline, he doesn't get the same. That's why he is so desperate just to learn magic.

Normally, Leonidas would be able to use one element of magic due to the royal bloodlines, but he couldn't do that. Whether it because his aptitude was very low or his growth was slower, he didn't know.

His partner conversation is a butler with name Damian. He is chosen to accompany Leonidas whenever he goes. He is a very competent butler even Leonidas never find any flaws from his work. He knows anything about Leonidas's problem and he is supporting him by watching his training and give him the courage to continue his efforts until Leonidas can use magic.

Knowledge and wisdom are the only things that Leonidas has. He doesn't have talents in swordsmanship or magic. Because he is Crown Prince, he doesn't get verbal abuse due to his incompetence directly.

But sometimes, he hears people doubting his quality as Crown Prince when he strolls around the castle. They came from the aristocrats and his sibling's guardians. They Questioning about his identity as Royal Family. He even heard one of them saying that Leonidas isn't the legal child of His Majesty due to his lack of talents.

They don't mean to insult him, but that made Leonidas hurt when he heard that. He uses that as his inspiration to train more seriously even without proper rest. He isn't training so hard because of the throne, he just doesn't want to be "different".

When he becomes an adult, he will be labeled as an incompetent prince and that insult will become truth because he can't prove his talents. So Leonidas can't give up no matter what.

"Leonidas-sama, why don't His Highness try to enter the dungeon? You can hire a powerful party to accompany you, while you increase your level."

The dungeon was a dangerous place filled by countless monsters with various types. The dungeon usually has many floors with complex maze or labyrinth. The deeper floor, the stronger the monsters that would you face.

"Are you sure this will successful Damian-san?", Leonidas was worry about his safety. He would do anything to learn magic, but losing his life was out of the question.

"I am not sure His Highness, but when you have a high level, your strength will increase as well, so I think Leonidas-sama can try this for once."

In the end, Leonidas's choice was to become stronger. He wants to be someone that could protect his country. He wants to be a hero and fight for the sake of his people.

"I see. Damian-san could you prepare anything for me?", since Damian proposed this idea, Leonidas accept his advice and issued an order.

"Certainly His Highness Leonidas." , Damian grinned suspiciously but Leonidas didn't see it.

Meanwhile, inside the Dark Sanctuary Dungeon, there's a single soul trapped here. Not trapped but sealed by the Hero.

This soul was the one who brings a calamity to Arendel. With his power, he can destroy a single city with just snapping his fingers. This soul belongs to Arcadia, the strongest Demon Lord in Arendel.

Arcadia is lost in the Holy War around five thousand years ago with the Heroes. He leads around 500.000 monsters and Demon race to fight with the Human race. He is very strong that even hundreds of Hero were killed by him.

With that enormous power, he able to repel the Heroes' attack with ease. But one day, he was betrayed by his fellow Demon Lords.

There are 72 Demon Lords and Arcadia was the number one in terms of strength. He followed by a lot of Demon Lords and servants, so he couldn't believe that he was betrayed.

Arcadia was killed by Holy Sword that stabbing his chest. Honestly, he can avoid that, but he was attacked from behind by his men.

'Unforgivable, Unforgivable, Unforgivable, Unforgivable, Unforgivable, Unforgivable'

His soul was sealed in the most dangerous Dungeon on Natra Continent to avoid his soul escape from this place. His soul is necessary for him able to revive.

But even after five thousand years passed, he still remembers the betrayal among his men. His soul consumed by hatred and he yearning for revenge.

'Just a little bit more, then I could break free from this fucking seal'

'The day I could escape, I will hunt you down traitor!!!!!'

'I will make you regret to betray me!!!'

He will make sure he will kill anyone who betrays him in the past when he can escape from this seal. He doesn't know that his salvation will come soon.

On another side, Lunaria the Goddess who watching the Arendel was in a panic because the will of fates will bring Calamity to Arendel once again. She needs to prevent Arcadia escape from the Dungeon, but she can't be involved in this problem directly.

She can use her influences and tell a prophecy to Holy Saint, to prevent Leonidas enter the dungeon since he has a unique gift that can release Arcadia from his seal. But even she doing that, Leonidas will enter the dungeon in the future no matter what happens.

In the first scenario, Leonidas will enter the dungeon to increase his level. If she obstructs this event, he will lose his place as Crown Prince in the future. This will make him ended up with the Evil path.

He doesn't have the skill to protect himself, so he only can rely on his knowledge. But he can't use that either because his reputation as Legal child of His Majesty is doubted by anyone. He was forced to give up his position as Crown Prince and exiled from Royal Palace.

He will come to Dark Sanctuary Dungeon to commit suicide since no one will employ him because his reputation is very bad. In the end, he vents up his frustration inside the dungeon and he accidentally using his Talents and make Arcadia escape. Arcadia will take his body and begin manipulating the Evandel Kingdom and destroy the Human Race.

In the second scenario, Lunaria won't do anything and leave Leonidas to enter the Dark Sanctuary Dungeon. Leonidas will certainly on the danger because someone is plotting to assassinate him by leaving him in the dungeon. Leonidas will struggle to escape from the dungeon and when he was desperate, he will using his talent as his last resort and will causing Arcadia able to escape.

In the third scenario, Lunaria will tell a prophecy and make Leonidas won't enter Dark Sanctuary Dungeon by suggesting him choose other dungeons. This will delay Arcadia from escape, but in the future, Leonidas will enter Dark Sanctuary Dungeon when he enters the Academy because of the test.

Her other choice is summoning the Hero to repair the seal. But the new hero won't able to repair the seal instantly, because they are so weak in the beginning. As a reference, in the past, there are 10 Heroes who sealing Arcadia. Their level is above 200 and they even need enormous mana from other people to complete the seal. In other words, even Lunaria can summons the Hero, they won't able to do much because they're still weak. Not to mention, they need a vast amount of mana to seal Arcadia once again and Lunaria can't prepare that for a short time.

And the last resort is killing Leonidas. If he never exists in the first place, Arcadia won't able to escape for a moment. But she can't tell prophecy like [Kill the Crown Prince] to her believers. She won't tell them the meaning of her prophecy to avoid this news leaked to Demon Race. Some of them are still waiting for Arcadia to escape, so they will do anything to make Leonidas enter the Dark Sanctuary Dungeon. She only prayed that Leonidas will be killed soon. It's strange for Goddess like her to hope someone to die, but this sacrifice is necessary for Arendel. She will promise to give Leonidas a better life on his second life.

In the end, Lunaria can't find a decent plan to prevent Arcadia from escape nor to prevent Leonidas from entering Dark Sanctuary Dungeon. Thus she will make a big gamble for this situation.

Leonidas's gift is simple. His gift is called Soul Links. He can use that to let the nearby soul to possess his body and Leonidas can borrow their power. Under normal circumstances, his gift isn't powerful enough to pull Arcadia to possess his body.

Arcadia seal is weakening after five thousand years, and Arcadia was accumulating his power to break the seal from inside. If Leonidas using his power to pull Arcadia forcefully from his seal, Arcadia will use his power to break the seal and control Leonidas's body. That's why Lunaria can't let this happen.

She will summon a powerful soul to match with Arcadia. He must need a powerful mental state because he will fight over Leonidas's body. Since Arcadia's original body is lost, Arcadia will take over Leonidas's body so Lunaria needs a strong soul that won't be affected by Arcadia's power.

A soul that has a strong mind, wise and able to prevent Arcadia to destroy Human Race. She focusing her consciousness to "Soul Realm" to find the most suitable candidate for this mission. She is trying so hard to find the perfect soul in this vast place with countless light balls. She inspects them one by one with her divine power. In the end, Lunaria chooses one soul.

He is a former assassin. He living just to revenge his parents because they were murdered. His mind is determined and can't be shaken easily. His iron will is also proven by his sole motive to revenge. He throws his identity, life and his past to chooses the "Evil" path like killing people even he doesn't want to do that.

He is very smart and quite wise. He was able to choose the best choice whenever he was on the pinch. But even so, he blindly chooses to trust a stranger that offers to help him find the murderer because of his hatred. His motivation is quite frightening until he throws away his reasoning just to kill the murderer, but Lunaria liked his resolve.IF Lunaria can motivate him to prevent Arcadia from taking over Leonidas's body and save the world, she will able to save Arendel.
