1 Year One

DISCLAIMER: I do not own nor take ownership of any of the characters besides y/n and possible other nameless characters that appear later in the story.

I arrived at the train station with my mom, two of my brothers, and my dad. We got to walk through a wall to even get to the station. Isn't that awesome? The answer is an obvious yes.

Being at the station was one of my first times seeing other witches and wizards like me. Since I'm only a half-blood, which means that I have one magical and one non-magical parent, I didn't know many witches and wizards in general. Especially not any that were my age.

My mom's a witch and my dad is a no-maj. We came all the way from Chicago to get me to London to attend Hogwarts, a school that my grandparents apparently went to when they were my age (from my mother's side of course).

I was very nervous though. Since I wasn't raised with other witches and wizards like most of the other kids here, I didn't know anyone. And though I can make friends fairly easily, I didn't want to end up with the wrong group if people. Plus, I have always been made fun of by other kids for my height, body type, and slight struggle with hormonal acne.

Anyway.

I said goodbye to my parents and brothers before boarding the train. I picked an empty train car do that people could come to me, or I could be by myself and read my books.

Now I know what you're thinking, "Oh goody, another bookworm," but I'll have you know that there are plenty of good series and books to read. Ever heard of J.K Rowling? Shes a great author.

I felt the testing moving, so relaxing that no one was going to come into the train car, I pulled out a book and started reading as I put in my ear buds.

I was peacefully reading my book when all of a sudden two redheaded boys entered the car laughing as they shut the door behind them. When they realized that they weren't alone in the car, they decided go introduce themselves.

"Sorry, little lady, but we didn't realize this car was already occupied. Let us introduce ourselves. I'm Fred," spoke one, a bright smile on his face as he talked to me. "And I'm George," the other told me with an identical smile. "We're identical," they told me together, making me stifle a small laugh behind my hand at their introduction.

"This is the part where you introduce yourself," Fred whiskered to me, snapping me out of the small daze I was out under when laughing softly at the twins.

"Right, sorry. I'm y/n. Nice to meet you Fred and George." The boys looked at each other as soon as I started talking, words being sent to each other without needing to be spoken. "American?" George asked me as him and his twin lifted one eyebrow in sync. "I wonder how you figured it out,'" I answered sarcastically, earning myself a laugh from both boys.

"I don't think we've ever had an American student at Hogwarts before," Fred mentioned as they both plopped in the seat across from me. "Then I guess I'll be the first. And now that that's out of the way, want to tell me why you were giggling like a bunch of girls when you walked in?"

"We weren't giggling," George tried to defend, pretending to look insulted as he looked at me. "I will have you know that we are the supreme pranksters at Hogwarts, and therefore our duty to creat havoc and chaos," Fred answered.

"Well, for a prankster, you have an outstanding vocabulary. Do I need to worry about you two pranking me?" I asked. They looked at each other and once again it was like they were talking telepathically. "You seem alright. We'll try not to prank you as long as you don't tattle on us for the pranks we do. Deal?". "You've got yourself a deal."
