An Alter in a MHA/OPM World

On a regular day in Tokyo, a young man was walking through the city drawing a bit of attention to himself. From looks alone, he looked to be around 14-15, but it was clear he was not fully Japanese. He looked to be more western than Japanese and that was not all that stood out.

He was exceedingly tall at 6'4 despite still being a teenager. His hair had a base color of black, but it had some red hair dye in it. He was wearing a black tank top exposing his muscular physique and the many tattoos on his arms. His hands were in his pant pockets as he whistled as he walked along the streets.

Just as he was walking, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket making him groan. He pulled his phone out and brought it up to his ear. The moment he did he recoiled at how loud he got yelled at.

"ALEXANDER! WHERE ARE YOU!"

Clearing his voice he began to explain, though when he spoke it was in perfect Japanese.

"Mom, I can explain."

That seemed to be the wrong thing to say.

"Explain? EXPLAIN TO ME WHERE THE HELL YOU ARE!"

"Tokyo."

The phone went silent for a few moments before the yelling started again.

"YOU ARE ALMOST THREE HOURS AWAY WHILE YOU SKIP SCHOOL! IF YOU DON'T COME BACK BY THE END OF THE DAY I AM THROWING AWAY YOUR STASH!"

That seemed to make Alexander panic as he started running back at full speed to get to his truck. Even then he was still on the phone.

"I AM COMING BACK!"

"You better."

When his mom hung up he put his phone in his pocket as he ran at his top speed which was faster than any Olympic athlete because of his 'Quirk'. If he remembered correctly, 15 years ago he had been a regular high schooler in another world.

One day he had been simply in his room playing Helldivers 2 when Truck-Kun smashed through his house running him over and killing him. When he woke up, he was in front of a ROB who didn't even let him make a single wish.

Instead, he had to spin an infinite wheel where he ended up getting something decent. It was an Alter ability from an abandoned novel he had read some time ago. When he had been born in this world, something unique happened.

His Alter Cells combined with the Quirk factor he inherited from his parents resulting in a unique fusion of Alter Cells and Quirk factor. As a result, his abilities were far more powerful than normal as a result of the two unique power systems complimenting each other.

Regardless, when he reached his giant 6-wheeled pickup he got into the driver's seat before putting his seatbelt on. Japan had a driving age of 18, but he got to drive early because of who his parents were. His mother didn't want to give him special treatment, but he convinced her by saying that he could be trusted.

That was a lie, but she fell for it. With her being a C Rank Hero and his father being an S Class Hero of Russia, they had great pull. He got to go to Russia every Summer as agreed on the co-parenting agreement between his parents. His mother got to have him for the school year, but his Father could have him on Summer vacation and holidays.

It wasn't a very stiff schedule as his parents were friendly at the very least. With a smile, he fired up his pickup's custom V-16 engine. His truck was a monster since it was produced custom-made through different quirks to make it a true tank. If it had weapons, it would be like a tank, but he didn't ask for those and he wouldn't get them even if he did.

Before he drove off, he got his phone and connected it to the Bluetooth of his stereo. He placed his phone on its stand before he went to his playlist and he chose a Russian Metal band that existed in his old world and this one.

'Slaughter to Prevail.'

Once the music started with a grin, he fired up his truck and began to three-hour drive back to Musutafu. He knew he would have hell to pay when he got back, but skipping was his bread and butter.

As he drove he was head banging to the music which was good in his past life and this one. Throughout the rest of the drive, he enjoyed his music to pass the long drive.

---

When he finally made it to Musutafu and his house he pulled up into the driveway. The house he and his mother lived at was not the largest and it didn't compare to the extravagant house his Father lived in with his wife, her daughter, and his two half-sibling twins.

Though it was nice as they lived in one of the better parts of town. Here, they didn't have to worry too much about Variant attacks. Variants were effectively monsters and unlike MHA, this world Heroes also were expected to stop the Varients from attacking the human population.

Several regions were swarming with them much like in the novel Super Necromancer System where he got his powers. He was the only Alter, but Varients were a thing now in this world. On top of that, he also had One Punch Man characters running around.

Alexander took a deep breath as he knew his mother heard him so he got ready for her yelling. She was a very nice mom, it was just that he was such a troublemaker that she got aggravated.

Before he even had to chance to get out of his truck the front door slammed open and his mom walked outside. He sighed to himself as he got out of his truck before walking over to her.

"Before you get mad-"

She raised her hand to stop him.

"Alexander Anatoly Kayama, tell me why you thought it was a good idea to skip your middle school graduation?"

'Ooof, full name.'

He rubbed the back of his head as from the look on her face, his Mother was Asian mom angry. His mother, Nemuri Kayama, AKA the Hero Midnight, was for sure an Asian mom. It was a bit embarrassing when he would see her on the TV in her skimpy outfits, but it was better than being the kid of someone ugly.

Even his dad was handsome, but when they were young, they had a one-night stand resulting in him. Neither of them had expected his birth, but they stepped up to be good co-parents even if they lived in two countries.

"My bad."

Nemuri covered her face as her son could be such a loose canon sometimes.

"You weren't driving drunk right?"

He shook his head as even with his powers based on his ability to metabolize alcohol, he didn't drink and drive.

"No, I promised to not drink when driving. I haven't touched a drop since yesterday."

Nemuri from the look of it was surprised.

"Wow, consider me surprised. You burn through that stuff easily, but this doesn't change the fact you missed your graduation ceremony."

"Well, you were busy with Hero work and Dad is in Russia and he couldn't make it. Grandma and Grandpa also didn't come so what was the point? It is embarrassing to be the only guy to not have a single family member there."

Nemuri felt bad about missing it, but her hero work did leave her with little free time. It was hard enough being a hero while being a young mom, but it was a good thing her parents and his Father helped her to look after him when he was little.

Nemuri walked over to him and grabbed him by his shirt before pulling him down into a hug.

"I am sorry. I didn't know it meant that much to you."

He returned the hug, but he didn't mind it all that much.

"It's fine. Really."

With a smile, she let go of him before patting him on the back.

"Come on, now that you are out of Middle school, just a few more months and you get to go to U.A."

When he walked inside, his mother got onto him again.

"What did I say about your shoes?"

She was looking at his black steel-toe boots with a glare. He was so used to living in Russia with his Father and as a former American that this aspect of Japanese culture was just kinda annoying.

It was hard enough to tie his boots and even more annoying to take them off.

"Not to wear them in the house."

With a smirk, she nodded.

"Exactly, take them off, and then you can eat."

With a sigh, he sat on the couch and got to untying his boots. As he did that, his mom walked back to the kitchen to serve up the food.

"So, planning to get any more tattoos behind my back?"

When he got his first boot off he chuckled.

"No, ma'am. I already got my arms and back covered, leaving my chest for later."

She peaked around the corner with a scowl.

"I still can't believe your dad took you to get tattoos. Even if they make you stronger, it isn't right to tattoo a kid."

"I understand that, but what they offer is too good to pass up. Why don't you get one of a butterfly? Might help you out with your weaker physical abilities."

"I will pass."

In Russia, there was an old man whom his Father was friends with. He had a A Class Quirk that let him create tattoos that gave enhancements to strength, speed, endurance, and even resilience.

His Father was covered in these tattoos, but the old man knew his worth. He charged top dollar for even a small tattoo. With how his arms, back, and legs were covered, it was a small fortune his Father spent to get him buffed.

He even had a small tattoo behind his right ear of Horns of Odin. When he came back from Russia 5 years ago, his poor mom passed out. She went ballistic when she woke up calling his Father and calling him all sorts of terrible things. His father could only apologize saying that it was for his future, but tattoos even in the current day were not a popular thing in Japan.

However, for all their worth, these tattoos given to him by that old man were expertly made. His arm tattoos were nice and all, but his back was his favorite. Once he got his other boot off, he walked to the kitchen to wash his hands.

When his mom served the food, he smiled as she made Japanese Fried Chicken. When made enough for the both of them even with his big appetite. When they sat down and they started eating she looked across the table at him.

"By the way, your dad and I both sent out recommendations ahead of time so you can skip the entrance exam."

He grinned as he dipped some of the chicken in the spicy sauce she made.

"Perfect."

With a sigh, she asked him a question she wanted to ask him.

"I just wanted to ask if you are going to keep a secret that I am your mom. I will be your teacher which might be odd. I know you kept it secret in Middle School."

Alexander shook his head.

"I kept it secret in middle school because those kids are obsessed to an unhealthy degree with you. Puberty is a hell of a thing and being one of the most famous female heroes in Japan will do that."

Almost beaming she smiled with true happiness. She didn't say it, but it did kinda hurt when he avoided telling people she was his mom. It was not that he was ashamed of her, he just didn't want people to talk about her as she had him when she was 18.

His dad was barely a year older at 19 meaning that now, his parents were 33 and 34 respectively. His Father was now married with a stepdaughter, and three children of his own including Alexander.

Sadly, since then, his mother has been more single than he was which was not a fault of his own. He just wasn't into little girls like that so here he was, 15 and single. he and his mom sighed at the same time.

When she heard him sigh she reached out and patted him on the head.

"What's got you down?"

He rested his head on the table as he told her.

"I am single."

Nemuri hummed.

"How? I mean, not to brag, but your dad and I are quite attractive so you must be swarming with girls who want you."

"You are not wrong, do you know what the issue is Mom?"

Now she was curious. What was keeping her hunk of a son down this way?

"What?"

He sat up and leaned closer to tell her the secret.

"I am not into little girls."

For a few seconds, she stayed quiet until she snorted.

"HAHAHAHAH, that is why you are single? Oh boy, keep this up and I will never be a grandma."

"Do you even want to be a grandma?"

She waved her hand at him.

"Not now, let me turn 40 first. 22 should be a good age for you to settle down with a nice girl."

He shook his head with a smirk.

"No way, I am going to be 50 when I have my first kid."

Nemuri went silent as she heard that.

"Let me get this straight, you want me to wait 35 years for my first grandbaby? I am going to be 68 then, I will look the part at that point. No, make me a young, pretty grandma."

With a smile, he continued to eat his food.

"Maybe I will. You think Pixie-Bob will take me as her own?"

Midnight thought about it.

"Maybe, but she is ol- Young, yes young."

Almost sweating, she cut her thought short.

"You were going to cal her old, but that would make you old too since your 2 years her senior."

With a glare, she huffed in her chair.

"Your mom is going to be always young."

"Sure, Mom, whatever you say."

With a serious look on her face, she pointed at him.

"I mean it, Alexander, even when I am 80, I will be pretty."

He nodded with a smile.

"Sure, sure."

Just as they were going to continue his phone started to ring. When he saw who it was, he smiled as he saw it was his dad.
