Bagamoyo

Two weeks later Alain, Farrah and their companions finally arrived in the city of Bagamoyo, endpoint of their planned trip across the African mainland. The Frenchman and his assistant Djamba had started eleven months earlier the long journey that had taken them from Gabon in French Equatorial Africa and therefore from the Atlantic Ocean to the port located on the Indian Ocean. Part of the route had been made sailing the Congo River in its navigable part, the following stretch by railway in the sector in which the Livingstone Falls make the Congo river non navigable, then another stretch by boat, and the rest by land, using horses acquired on the way.
