13 Chapter 12

"Pack your things, we'll be leaving tomorrow morning." I told Matt while he is beside me and we're having Despicable Me Marathon because he likes it and I like it and we have nothing to do. Well...I actually have something to do but that can wait, I mean, Ace can wait. I could hear my phone from the table dinging every time a text comes from Ace and we've been texting non-stop and I felt like we've gotten more close than my liking because my feelings for him could blossom again and it'll be awkward and complicated if that happens again. But I secretly like that we are close again just like before but today we have some boundaries and we're more mature.

Matt took a bite off his chocolate bar and I examined his face as he ate. He isn't very thin now and I can see the visible changes in his body and his face is chubby as always and I'm proud of myself for taking care of him like he's my child. He's been nice and he has opened more. "We'll finally go to the amusement park? Finally! I've been waiting!" He excitedly says and he jumped off the couch which almost made him fall but I instinctively helped him and he thanked me shyly.

"Where are you going? I thought you wanted to watch?" I asked him while fixing his shirt and he nodded with a similar shine in his sapphire eyes.

"Well, yeah! But I wanted to see first what I'm going to bring! I'll be back, I promise." He said before rushing up the stairs.

"Hey! Be careful, sapphire. Don't get yourself hurt." I called him but he continued to rush and I chuckled at his eagerness while shaking my head.

"Move, bitch." My mouth hangs open and looked at my idiot brother who pushed me harshly so he can sit beside me with an annoyed look. I slapped him on his face hard and looked at him in disbelief while he held his cheek in shock.

"How dare you call me bitch?! Listen here, you motherfucker, you need to learn some manners and how to treat a woman right!" I jumped on him and started attacking him with slaps on his face while he covers his face and shouted at me to get off. I slapped him one more time harder and felt satisfied with that so I get off of him and sat down beside him like nothing happened while crossing my arms in front of my chest.

"Crazy bitch." He muttered and I raised my hand up again, warning him with his language and he covers himself like a weak motherfucker he is. "O-okay, fine! I'm sorry! Just...don't do it again!" I smiled, feeling satisfied with what I've done and continued watching the movie. We both ended up being silent and we watched the movie without any more drama.

After a while of us spending the time watching animated movies, I checked my phone and head up the stairs. I chuckled at the text that I received from Ace he was pissed but I didn't care.

He suddenly called me and I finally answered.

"Ace, I'm sorry! I wanted to have a good time with sapphire and he is really eager to watch movies the entire time! I also kind of didn't want to see you..." I told him fast and I got out of breath even if the sentences were short, I feel like it could kill me.

I heard him sigh and clicked his tongue. "What?! Luna! I've been waiting for you in the park for hours! You told me that you agreed to eat ice cream with me! But I ate alone and now the ice cream parlor is closed, are you happy now? I'm going home."

"Hey...I said I was sorry. I agreed because you've been persuading me nonstop and I wanted you to stop and I know there two ways to do that either punch/hurt you or agree with you. I'm sorry though...can you stay there? I'll be there in 10." I soothed him with a very gentle and soft voice, basically purring and making him cool down. If you hadn't notice now, he's short-tempered and I used to usually soothe him and calm him down. I haven't done this in years and it made butterflies appear in my stomach but it's surprisingly not awkward. Even if I told him the reason why I agreed to him.

"Luna! For fuck's sake! Do you think that will work with me?! How come you only agreed because I annoyed you?! I waited for you and I was excited to see you but you left me here with my melting ice cream that I didn't get to properly eat because I. was. waiting. for. you! I wanted to eat ice cream with you and I had planned our whole day! We were supposed to be happy and with each other!" My cheeks flushed and stopped in front of my bedroom door while I process what this fucker said.

"Ace...you can't be serious. We're both going to the amusement park, right? Why can't we spend our time there?...with each other?" I said after a few seconds and I entered my room while putting my phone on the bed and in speakers so I can change while we talk.

I heard him sigh loudly and groaned, imagining him burying his face into his hands. Ace is a nice guy and is fun to be around if you don't make him mad because he is the worst to be around when he's mad. "Luna, that's not the same. You see..."He stopped for a moment and I looked at my phone weirdly. " Nothing, just be here! Tonight! Now! At least we can stargaze."

I nodded even though he can't see me. I picked my phone and told him to wait for me. "Make that 5, Luna. If you don't make it by 5 then I'll leave." He hangs up and I rolled my eyes but left my room in a hurry. I rushed downstairs to get the car key but then I realized that mom used it today and I groaned when I realized that I have to run.

I ran towards the park that was a little far from my home so by the time I got there I was sweaty and disgusting while panting like a dog. I look like a fool but that's fine because at least I made it in time.

I texted him and he replied back that he was hiding between a wall and a huge ass tree that looked older than my ancestors. I chuckled and walked to find him, the park was filled with couples, oldies, people alone, friends, family. It made me annoyed because of how packed the park is and I expected it to be less crowded. They were all smiling, laughing, and beaming which made my skin crawl and I looked away from them immediately. I didn't want for today to be a mess and filled with horror shit because tomorrow at the amusement park, it will be exciting and will make me dizzy because of how many people are going to be there. They were all also smiley because what's there not to like about that place? It's complete and the full package.

I stopped in front of a huge tree and I finally understand why he told me that it looked older than my ancestors but I laughed at it. I noticed the wall and I walked towards it. I found him hiding and looking small, like an adorable lost puppy that made me smile like an idiot. I approached him and sat down beside him.

"What are you doing here, Idiot? You hiding from something?" I greeted him with a teasing grin and he snorted but smiled. I knew then that he was okay now and he's feeling much better.

He stared at my eyes for a second and shook his head, biting his lip and looking away like he's hiding something. "No. I'm just hanging out here, you know? Looking like my usual self, an idiot." He joked and I could sense that something was wrong with him and the tone of his voice is low, quiet, and sad so I didn't laugh with him when he did.

"You're not really an idiot. You know that right? You're more than that but sometimes none of us can avoid being idiots." I tried comforting him but he ended up laughing at me and poking me on my cheek. I looked at him dumbfounded and he laughs more.

"You're not really making me feel good about myself you know? You suck at comforting me, Lu." He grinned at me and I softly laughed.

"Well yeah, how can you expect me to comfort a short-tempered fucker like you!" I playfully pushed him and he dramatically acts as if I had the strength to push him until he rolls around and ends up being far away from me. I rolled my eyes at him and stood up, following the fool.

He gasped dramatically while holding his arm as if it hurt. "Luna! How could you do this to me! You broke my fucking arm! You pushed too hard, what are you a superwoman or something?" I squatted down next to him and examined his arm, not like I had actually hurt him but maybe he got hurt from rolling around on the ground.

"Let me see." I told him to give me his arm so I can see if it is truly hurt.

He shook his head rapidly. "No, woman! You broke it! How can I trust you not to broke it more and crush my bones?"

I sighed at him but smiled at his playfulness. "Let me see, I said. Give me your arm and quit being stubborn." I gripped his arm softly, getting closer to him and this time, he obliged and I examined his arm and saw a large scrape below his elbow.

I looked at him in the eyes and he was already looking at me with this strange look but I ignore it. "Ace, look at what you've done to yourself. Stop joking around if you're just going to get hurt. I don't wanna be your nurse."

I looked down again at his arm, without waiting for his response. I examined it and I carefully remove the leaves and small sticks and dirt that got on his arm. I moved closer to him, our face only a few inches away but I don't care about that because as of now, I am nursing his arm. I noticed him still staring at me from the corner of my eye and I smiled, still ignoring the way he stares at me.

"What? You're acting weird, Ace. Stop it." I looked back again at his arm but he stopped me by softy cupping my cheek and at first, I thought he's messing around again but he leaned in and I was frozen in my spot. He softly kissed me on my lips and I even felt him smile. On the other hand, I don't know what to think or act. I was just frozen and I felt his other hand being placed on my back, pulling me closer to him.

He is kissing me! Ace is fucking kissing me! Fucking kissing me! On the lips! What the fuck is going on?! The one who I've been crushing on for years fucking kissed me on my lips!
