1 À première vue (at first glance)

It was already pass 6 in the morning when Rein woke up. She didnt noticed her alarm. So, she rushed her morning routine from taking a bath to eating breakfast.

Rein just passed her board examination. She choose not to work immediately so she could refresh her mind. Rein is artistic, she also love music. She can also play different musical instruments. During her junior high school years, she was able to attend a music class every saturday but when she entered senior high and college, she focused on her studies and gave up the music school. That is why, when she finished her studies and successfully passed her national board examination, she enrolled herself in a music workshop. That workshop includes dancing, singing and playing different instruments.

On her first day, things didn't turned right. She's late for the 7 am call time. She came from a place which is more than an hour ride away from the studio. She run from the unloading area to the studio. When she reached the studio she wiped her sweat and she didn't noticed that she wasn't able to return her handky to her bag. The handky fell into the ground.

"miss!" someone shouted.

Rein turn around and saw a guy waving with a handky.

"you dropped this." the guy said

She approach him.

"thank you!" she said

"you're welcome!" said by the guy while handing it to Rein

"by the way, are you also a student here?" he added

"uhm yeah, you too?" rein answered

"ah yeah, i'm yujin" he answered *offering handshake*

"are you late too? The class should start now." she said *accepting the handshake*

"no! No, Mr. Rey our dance instructor will be late daw for 30 minutes, he's stocked in the traffic." Yujin said

"hay! Thanks, i thought i was late. Teka!!! You're not a filipino right?" Rein asked out of nowhere

"yeah, how'd you know?" Yujin

"at first glance i already knew and your accent but i noticed something. You said *daw* a while ago"

"ahh you're right. I'm korean. I can understand filipino but I can only speak a little."

"yun naman pala eh." rein panting

"why don't you take a rest. It seems like you've run 10 kms." yujin joked

"parang nga!" rein smirked

They sat in a corner of the studio. Rein drink water and they had a small conversation. She noticed his cute smile. His eyes become smaller when he smile.

"why'd you join this workshop?" yujin asked

"after stressful years in school. I wanted to refresh my mind. I do love music. When i was in junior high, i'm so into it. But because after junior high ive got so busy with my studies. And i so miss it. That's why. Ang daldal ko haha" Rein answered "and you?" she added

"i just love music" he answered

"why you're here in the philippines?" rein asked

"oh about that, it's a long story." he answered

"oh! Get up now! Come on,, come on." Mr. Rey-their dance instructor

"okay let's go" yujin said as he offers his hand to Rein to stand

"thanks!" she said

"i'm sorry i'm late." mr. Rey said. "let's start warm up." he added

While having the workshop, yujin noticed Rein's ability to dance. He can really tell that she's great.

After 2 hours of warming up and some dance steps, they had their break.

"you wanna join me?" yujin asked

"sure!" rein answered

They went to the cafeteria and they continue knowing each other.

"oh by the way. How long have you've been here?" Rein asked

"for about 2 years." yujin answered

"ah!" rein nodded as she's eating her sandwich

"you're a great dancer." yujin abruptly said

"ahm.(choked-drinks water) oh thanks! Actually it was 4 years ago since the last time i danced like that." rein said

"really? But you can still dance gracefully." yujin said

Suddenly two other students joined their table.

"can we join?" the said

"sure!" they answered

"thanks, by the way I'm Jessica and here is my brother Jeremy."

"Hi I'm Rein." offered a handshake

"hello I'm Yujin."

"let me guess, you're korean right?" jessica asked

"yes!" yujin replied

"great i have a korean friend now. Do you know i'm so addicted to k-pop." jessica said

"really?" yujin's surprise

"ne!" jessica answered in korean (ne=네=yes in korean)

"you're really addicted hah." yujin said

"talaga! Sometimes she's singing even thou she don't know the exact lyrics. She's like having tongue twister at home."jeremy said

" jem! " jessica scolded jeremy

" ok, i'll zip my mouth." jeremy said

Then everybody laughed.
