9 Noblest Disposition

[ Chapter 9 ]

Sitting elegantly on the white French vintage cushioned couch, Julian had his leg over his thigh with a phone on his hand, looking arrogantly alluring as he always was.

Cassandra pursed her lips, why did she feel like she's some kind of concubine stepping into the emperor's room and readying herself to serve him? When in fact he's her guest whilst she's the master of this room.

Moreover, given that last night she's high in passion and blinded by lust she wasn't able to assess him properly. Hence now was different since she had fully regained her consciousness, she could assess him better.

From the look of it, the way he carried himself, his elegant form and his refined demeanor. He gave off that imperious vibes of noble born bearing. Elegance and nobility seem to exude from his very bones.

Cassandra could see that imperious arrogance in his eyes that was probably drilled into him from birth. It's as if he's born to look at the others with his eyes high.

Such arrogance and refinement could only belong to a man born in the noblest household and raised to be superior individual.

For some reason the more she knew about him the more nervous she became, her heart skipped a beat as she racked her head thinking a lot of possibilities. There were only a few families who could produce such an individual.

She had already known that he must be a highborn from one of those prominent households but she didn't expect he's even beyond that.

Wh-What if she had just bedded the son from one of her acquaintance's in high society? There would be no face left for her to face them anymore. That would be beyond embarrassing.

Cassandra just hoped there won't be any scandal about her sleeping with the heir of those families she's afraid of. Even her influential Qin household wouldn't be able to clean after her mess.

Oblivious to what the mature lady was thinking, Julian put his phone down and hooked up a lazy yet fascinating smile, flashing his set of silver teeth.

"Sit." He said low, eyes pointing at the empty spot next to him.

His calm yet authoritative voice startled her. The way he spoke was smooth and demanding as if he's used only to 'yes' and 'no' was out of option when one was facing him.

Exhaling a deep breath Cassandra regained her composure, there's no point to think about such a thing since they had already done it. Moreover, she had never been one to regret things and she felt no regret.

Straightening her back, Cassandra gracefully dragged her legs and not a word came from her closed lips. Instead of taking the seat he told her to, she took a seat on the empty spot parallel to him, unspokenly telling him she wasn't a woman to mess around, by doing so she also quietly distanced herself from him.

"Hm." He raised one of his brows as his eyes narrowed into slit.

Most of time, women would try their best to please him whenever they were around him. Thus it's quite a surprise that this mature beauty was actually distancing herself from him. After all, logically speaking no straight woman would distance themselves from him.

His handsome frown only lasted for a fraction of a second before an amusing smirk formed on his gorgeous visual. Pressing his lips into a thin line of charming smile, Julian looked straight into her hazel eyes.

"Would you like a glass of wine?" Julian asked, his voice was deep and rich, with an edge of sophistication.

Cassandra dragged her gaze toward the pair bottle of Château Mouton R. 1940 next to him. Where did those wines come from? And also, isn't it a bit excessive to drink such a fine liquor this early in the morning.

Julian smiled softly, "I had someone delivered my things just now." His drawling voice answered her unspoken question.

Cassandra nodded in understanding, sure for a man of his class. That also explained where his black bathrobe came from since she didn't remember having one like that in her wardrobe.

By now, Cassandra could also see an expensive set of Tom Ford black suits hanging on the corner of the room coupled with a new collection of Hermes black shoes. All were nearly prepared with class. She bet some kind of high class servant was the one who delivered and arranged his things.

"So?" Julian asked again, since he got no response from her.

Cassandra clicked her tongue and decided to go with flow. Spending a couple more minutes with him and some glass of wine wouldn't be any harm. Hell, after what they had done, it would be rude of her if she wasn't able to show such a basic courtesy.

Forming up a fine smile, she answered, "Sure. I would love one."

Julian smiled and stood up, he set a wine glass in front of her tastefully. Exerting some effort on the bottle cap, he opened the wine.

Cassandra subtly stuck out her tongue to wet her lips as her eyes marveling at those sexy veins and tendons around his muscly arms that were tensed for a brief second when he opened the bottle of wine.

She wondered how such a simple sight of him could look so sexy and sensual. As she saw his fingers pulling on the cork, somewhere down between her legs warmed remembering how great those fingers felt when they did wonder around her sensitive folds.

A sound of pouring liquid startled her from her unseemly thought as she saw him pouring the rose-coloured wine on each of the glasses. While doing so, Cassandra could see every of his movement was classy and elegant.

His elegance and classiness was even more graceful than any gentleman she had seen in those romance telenovelas. It's basic etiquette for gentlemen to fill the glasses of the women sitting next to them and he did it so flawlessly that she found it marvelous.

Upon finished filling up both glasses, Julian put the bottle aside and sank back on his seat, settling himself comfortably on the cushioned couch with his leg atop his other thigh.

Maintaining their eyes contact, Julian smiled and cheered in a low-pitched voice, "To the beautiful you."

Cassandra resisted the urge to roll her eyes at his flirting before responding with a simple nod. She lifted her glass bottom-up and downing it into her mouth, parting her luscious lips she sipped the wine.

"It's nice." She muttered as the rich sweetness of the wine danced around her mouth, pleased, she took another sip.

The wine was quite strong yet it's light enough for her to savour the sweetness of the wine, she could taste its extraordinary purity and multilayered texture, vibrant and youthful sensation.

The wine was nice and it greatly eased her to relax. She sipped the wine as her eyes drank up on his gorgeous visual.

What a fine way to start the day, she thought. Fine wine and finest man as company, she didn't know she would be getting drunk by the wine or by the man first since both were equally intoxicating.

Feeling relaxed and somewhat coquettish, Cassandra crossed her leg with a refined grace and couldn't help but tease in a lazy manner,

"Speaking of which, isn't it a bit too early for this? You aren't having a bad intention to me, are you Mr—"

"Julian," Julian cut low, it's kind of low that sent a glorious wave of vibration under her skin.

Cassandra made a low click with her tongue, their intimate night had long passed so it's a bit improper to address him by such a quiet intimate manner. Well, she didn't even know what his last name is?

"Julian." He repeated, insisted, as he didn't like the idea of her calling him by his surname. He loved the way she talked to him intimately.

Cassandra could only huff a faint laugh, amusement laced her set of hazel eyes. She felt a lot younger like she's back to when she's a lovely young lady, whose charm was appealing enough to win over such a finest young man's attention.

Honestly, she wouldn't try to deny that she's enticed by his allure. It's pure sexual attraction, just like females attraction toward an alpha male who could give them a sense of excitement and satisfaction.

And for something Cassandra couldn't describe, she felt warm and comfortable around him. Perhaps he wasn't as bad as she thought, though there's no string attached between them, she wasn't against the idea of having him as an acquaintance, or even as a friend.

Cassandra chuckled softly before arching up an amusing smile, giving in as he insisted, "Well, you're not trying to get me drunk, are you Julian?"

She could see a mysterious smile dancing on the corner of his lips as he rolled his eyes and roamed his searing gaze all over her. It's like flames prickled on each of her curves where he gazed.

A playful grin spread across his well-defined features, "Who knows."

His fingers softly caressed the wine glass as he continued, "Gentleman I may be, but I'm afraid I'm not gentleman enough to stop myself from doing something," he paused and gave her a scorching gaze.

"Improper." He spoke low and she couldn't help but squeeze her legs together as she felt herself getting warm

"Who am I to resist when such a finest beauty getting drunk in my arms." His seductive voice trailed off as he twirled the glass and sipped the wine.

Chewing on her inner lip, Cassandra began to feel uncomfortable. It's pretty hard for her not to get hot since he's the type that makes women sexually uncomfortable on their seats.

Moreover, his flirtatiousness sure carried a lethal temptation since he's extraordinarily sensual and those captivating eyes of his got her completely intoxicated, yet again.

Cassandra wasn't able to tear her gaze away from his soul-stirring eyes as her eyes marveled at those red-colored lips of his which were glistening deliciously from the red wine.

She swallowed hard and in the end, she decided to play along. No matter what happened between them, that wouldn't change the fact that she's a much more older than him.

Therefore, she couldn't help but chuckle at the fact of him, a young man flirtatiously hitting on her, she found it's quite cute and amusing.

Moreover, Cassandra wasn't the type of woman who let someone have their way on her. He wanted to play fire with her? Then she will let him burn himself.

Twirling the glass on her hand gently, her somewhat playful gaze met his. "I'm not worried at all."

Cassandra caught a flick of passionate flame glimmered in his set of dark eyes and her enchanting smile widened.

"I believe you aren't such a man who takes advantage of a drunk defenseless woman," Cassandra teased with her intentional girlish tone.

Sure enough, his breath hitched as he got an instant hard-on listening to her somewhat green light to whatever flirtatious game he's up to.

Julian dragged his gaze to the glass in his hands as he brought it to his nose, a satisfied smirk forming on his lips.

He took a whiff of the earthly and floral aroma of the wine. Then his smile brightened his beautiful face as if he just discovered something enticing.

"Don't be too sure." He let out a husky breath, letting the wine slip between his sexy lips.

Again staring straight at her, his eyes were stormy and smoldering. He smacked his lips sensuously before flashing her his dangerous smile.

"I'm not that honourable."
