23 Shopping with Elena.

<General perspective>

Elena froze in her place, trying to process all the recent events. Ava gently placed her hand on Elena's shoulder and utilized her ability to calm her.

Ava said, "Elena, calm down" she felt like all the conflicts in her mind had disappeared. Anna stood up and said, "You can continue your conversation; I will check how the registration of the new company is going," as Anna was about to leave the room.

Ava said, "Can you please order six chocolate donuts for me?"

Anna nodded and left the room. Elena looked at Ava and started apologizing, "Sorry, I didn't know you were the chairman of the company, and I talked to you so casually."

Elena thought, 'So that's why she was laughing in the lift.'

Ava replied, "You know I liked you a few minutes ago, but now you sound like an office worker struggling to make it to the end of the day."

Elena tilted her head cutely and asked, "You don't like how I talk, Miss Ava?"

Ava shook her head and said, "First, calling me Miss Ava, call me Ava."

Elena asked, "But that..."

Ava interrupted her, "No 'buts' and 'that's'."

Elena nodded. Ava got up and sat in Anna's seat, signaling Elena to sit in front of her.

As they took their seats, Ava started speaking, "Well, Elena, the offer you received was sent by my secretary. So, Elena, I will give you two options: first, you can join Rose's Corporation as an employee and work on a new project with a team of experts; or second, you can work with me as a partner on the project, but for the second option, you have to live with me."

Elena thought for a while. In the meantime, a man delivered six chocolate donuts to Ava. Elena looked at Ava, who was munching on the donuts, and replied, "I will answer, but I want to know how long it took you to build that security system."

Ava, munching on another donut, said, "Well, it took me around seven days. It was a headache when I had to update security every month or so. Then I decided to create a ten-layered algorithm for the security, which can improve itself every time someone tries to hack it."

Elena nodded, not surprised by anything at this point.

Elena replied, "I will accept the second option."

Ava was intrigued by Elena's choice and asked, "Why did you choose the second option when I didn't mention anything about salary or work?"

Elena replied with confidence, "If I get to work with the mastermind behind the Roses Corporation, I can earn experience that's more valuable than any salary you can offer."

Ava chuckled while offering the donuts to Elena, "Well, you can say that, but that mastermind is a lesbian, and she might turn you into one too."

Elena was taken aback as she was not expecting that response. She took the donut and munched it, then attempted to make a joke, "Well, I wouldn't mind being one if my partner is a billionaire."

Ava was also surprised by Elena's answer. She started laughing and replied, "You know, I like this clueless side of you."

Ava got close to Elena's face, and Elena extended her hands to stop her, saying, "Don't you think this is too fast?" As Ava removed the cream from Elena's cheeks, Elena felt embarrassed for what she had said. Ava returned to her seat and asked, "What are you talking about?" while looking at Elena's embarrassed face with a smirk. Elena recognized the smirk and knew she was being teased.

Ava took out her phone and said to Elena, "Did you come here directly from the airport?" Elena nodded. Ava asked, "So where is your bag?" Elena looked around and saw that her bag was gone. She looked at Ava and exclaimed, "Where is my bag?"

Ava replied, "That's what I am asking you." Elena suddenly remembered that she had forgotten the bag with all her clothes at the airport. As she was about to leave the room...

Ava stopped her, asking, "Where are you going?"

Elena replied, "To the airport, I forgot my bag there."

Ava said, "So are you going alone?"

Elena responded, "Well, I came alone, so yeah."

Ava, while dialing Anna's number, said, "Then let me take you to the airport." Elena asked with hesitation, "Won't that be too much trouble for you?"

Ava replied, taking Elena's hand in hers, "No, it will be my pleasure to help a beautiful lady." Elena turned red while she was lost in her dream.

Anna picked up the call and asked, "Why did you call Ava?"

Ava replied, "Anna, do we have a vehicle I can use?"

Anna thought and replied, "I am not giving you my car, as Kurt gifted me that car on our 1st marriage anniversary, but we do have a new commercial Apex ZE in the showroom; you can take that."

Ava said, "Thanks, but I am not going to destroy your car."

Anna replied, "But I don't want to take the risk."

Ava sighed and said, "Okay, you won."

Anna replied, "You can get the car in the showroom; I will inform the manager about it."

Ava said, "Okay, bye."

Ava saw Elena was still in Daze, ava snapped her fingers near Elena's face, as Elena got out of her thoughts she flustered. Ava asked, "What are you thinking about."

Elena shaked her head and replied, "nothing.."

Ava said, "then let's go."

As Ava and Elena left the headquarters, they headed towards the Apex showroom situated on the left side. The manager confirmed Ava's ID and then handed over the car keys. Ava and Elena stepped into a blue electronic SUV.

Ava drove the car to the airport. When they arrived, they spoke with airport management and discovered Elena's bag. However, upon inspecting the bag, Elena realized that it had been exchanged with someone else's because their bags looked the same.

After Ava and Elena exited the airport, Ava noticed Elena's sad expression and said, "Elena, do you want to go shopping? Well, I'm also in the same situation as you; I don't have any clothes. So, wanna join?"

Ava said, "Well, after the Extremis serum changed my body, only my mom's blazer and pants fit me, so I do need clothes." Ava continued, "That way, I can also buy her some outfits too. Even if airport management compensates her with free coupons, she doesn't have any other clothes than her current outfit."
