Today marks my first birthday in this new life. Despite feeling happy about it, there's one downside: I'm now a girl for the rest of my days, all thanks to that stupid goddess. At least her father seemed like a decent person. Now, I must commence my training to become stronger—physically and mentally—than anyone else on this planet. I refuse to be vulnerable to unwanted advances or to surrender what little control I have in this new existence.

Melissa and her husband, Kevin, celebrated their daughter's first birthday with Kevin's mother, as his father had passed away after his graduation. Melissa's father was notably absent, disapproving of Kevin due to his comparatively lower income. Melissa, a lawyer at a prestigious firm, married Kevin, who inherited a recording studio in Los Angeles from his late father, a former employee of a record label. Despite the label not renewing its contract, Kevin now rents the studio to artists.
Their meeting mirrored a romance movie: a chance encounter at a bar led to marriage without Melissa's father's consent. A year into their marriage, Melissa became pregnant.
On the day of their daughter's birth, Kevin nervously awaited news with both mothers by his side. Learning he had a daughter filled him with joy. Once allowed, he gingerly held his daughter, finding her the most precious sight. Exhausted, Melissa agreed to the name they had chosen: Ava Lewis.

I swung from one person to another, resembling a baby version of my father but female. My mother's friends treated me like a doll, albeit I longed to devour my birthday cake or that tempting donut. Just as I neared the sweet treat, Grandma maya lifted me, declaring no sweets until I turned four. Grandma Connors promised fresh donuts when I reached that age. My parents watched, surprised, as I walked towards them, Dad capturing the moment with his camera.
As the celebration ended, fatigue overtook me. Mom fed me oats and milk, marking the conclusion of my first birthday.
