2 Superpowers

Tj wakes up in a cold sweat, Hearing Katherine(Katherine Monroe, his moms best friend, and Tj's legal guardian). He takes multiple deep breaths, then looks at his hands to see no electricity around them anymore. Tj rubs the back of his neck and laughs to himself.

"It must have all been a weird dream."

He gets up to his feet, red electricity starts to surround his body and he super speeds into the wall and falls to the ground.

"Ok, it wasn't a dream."

When Tj slowly and carefully walks downstairs and to the kitchen table, confusing Katherine.

"Watching our steps today, kiddo?" Katherine sarcastically asks as Tj nervously laughs.

"Pretty crazy what happened at Tron labs yesterday, huh?"

Tj is surprised that Katherine knows about Tron labs.

"You know about that?"

"Yeah, it's all over the news. A shockwave from some kind of machine they were working on, making some of the students and scientists sick."

Tj is a little concerned with how the story is told through the media.

"Welp, I better head out." Tj says as gets up and slowly walks to the door.

"Ok kiddo, I have a late night patrol tonight, so you'll have the house to yourself."

"Ok Kath. See you later."

Later at the dojo, Tj demonstrates on a punching bag to the class. When he kicks the heavy bag, it flies across the room and into the wall. As everyone stares in shock, Tj quickly dismisses class and runs outside.

Tj goes into an alley way. He looks at his hands, trying to figure out what's happening to him. He takes a few deep breaths, then red electricity surrounds his body again. As his eyes start to glow bright red, he smirks.

"Maybe I can get the hang of this."

Tj then rockets out of the alley at super speed. He jumps and flips over cars, as people just see a red blur. He then runs up the side of a tall building and jumps in the air.

"YEAH!" Tj yells at the top of his lungs in midair. He lands hard on the roof, chuckling to himself.

"I could really get used to this."

He then looks at his watch and sees that he only has one minute to get to school. He quickly runs as fast as he can, making it to the school in seconds.

"Hey Tj, where have you been?" Deana asks.

"Oh, you know...around." Tj answers, out of breath.

Drew then looks down at his feet.

"Uh, dude. Your shoes are smoking."

"Oh yeah, well, I did run all the way here. What can I say, I really didn't want to be late today."

Tj starts to laugh nervously, confusing Drew and Deana. The three friends then walk into the school and go on with their day.
