10 What do you mean by "Realistic Game."?

Three days later…..Katsu slowly opened his eyes.

"agh…..My body feels sore….but I feel a bit energetic too."

He then slowly sat up and noticed Amaya sitting in a chair on the other side of the room.

"Looks like you're finally awake." Said Amaya.

Katsu wore a confused look on his face.

"What happened?"

"You mean, you don't remember?"

Katsu then recalled fighting the dungeon boss.

"That's right. I remember now."

He then stood up out of bed.

"Are you sure you're okay to go roaming around?" Amaya asked.

He walked over to the window to grab his trenchcoat which was on an empty chair.

"Yeah, I feel alot better than I did yesterday."

Katsu then walked over to the door and continued talking.

"That boss was stronger than I thought. Even though I am pretty strong, I'm still probably still on the level of a c-rank?"

"What does that mean?" Amaya asked.

"When adventurers sign up they are given a rank. C-rank is the second lowest. It's a lot to explain so I'll let you find out the rest on your own."

He began to turn the handle on the door.

"Wait…. Where are you going?" Amaya asked.

"I'm going to get some equipment."

Amaya then stood up out of her seat.

"I'll go with you. I need to get Emi some equipment too. "

Katsu opened the door.

"Okay, let's go"

A voice then called out from behind.

"Wait! Are you guys leaving without me?" said Emi

Amaya turned around and thought to herself.

"Crap….I almost forgot Emi even existed. Whoops."

"You can come too if you want." said Amaya.

Emi's face filled with Joy.

"Yay!"

They left the Inn and began walking through the town.. Emi was able to see the weapon shop.

"There it is!" she joyfully shouted.

They continued walking.

"What kind of equipment should I get you?" Amaya asked.

Emi made a face as if she was trying to decide what she wanted.

"Hmmmmm…..I guess it doesn't really matter too much. I'll be happy with whatever." said Emi. They arrived at the doors to the shop.

"Okay, let's go in." said Katsu.

He twisted the handle then pushed the door open.. They all walked in.

"Oh, you're back yet again." said the man with blue hair.

"Yeah, I got some items to sell to you." said Amaya

Katsu And Emi walked over to the weapons and began to look around.

Amaya walked over to the counter and looked at her items.

(Items: Shadow claws: (x48) No other items)

"I have forty-eight shadow claws."

"I'll buy them for 1 silver a peice." said the man.

Amaya handed him a medium sized bag containing the shadow claws. The man grabbed it and then handed her a bag of silver coins.

"I don't think we ever exchanged names. What do I call you?" Amaya asked. The man smiled.

"Yeah, we never did exchange names. You can call me Hikaru."

"Okay, and you can call me Amaya"

Emi was looking at all the weapons and saw a small dagger.

She looked like she had found what she wanted and grabbed it.

Amaya walked over.

"Find what you wanted?"

Emi had a happy look on her face as she nodded.

Amaya smiled.

"Okay, I'm going to look around too."

She walked as she looked around. Something caught her eye.

It was a light-grey cloak sitting on the shelf. On the lower shelf was a black pair of boots.

"Those look like they'll fit me." Amaya thought to herself.

She looked down at her clothes and realized how torn her shirt was. It was ripped around her arms and on her lower torso.

"This whole time I've been walking around with torn up clothes and nobody pointed it out?"

She sighed.

"I guess I'll get a new shirt too."

Amaya walked over to the shelf and grabbed the cloak, then bent down and grabbed the boots.

"Let's pay for our stuff now." said Amaya.

"Okay!" Emi happily shouted.

Amaya placed the cloak and boots on the counter. Emi walked over and also placed the knife on the counter.

"Do you have a shirt for sale that'll probably fit me?" Amaya asked. Hikaru looked and examined her torn clothing.

"Hmmm...I actually do. Hold on just one second."

Hikaru slowly went down behind the counter.

"Seriously, this guy always has what we need." Amaya thought to herself.

He stood back up and was holding a black long sleeved shirt.

"Here you go. The knife is two silver, the cloak is five copper, the boots are also five copper, the shirt is three copper. Your total is Two silver and 13 copper or just One-hundred thirteen royalty."

"I don't have thirteen copper so I'll just give you three silver." said Amaya.

She reached her hand out and handed Hikaru four silver coins.

He grabbed them as Amaya walked towards the door and looked at Katsu.

"Are you even getting anything?" Asked Amaya.

Katsu who was still looking at the weapons replied

"I changed my mind about buying anything, I should probably just save up."

They all walked out of the shop.

As they were walking, Katsu started thinking to himself.

"When we fought that Dungeon boss, it overpowered me. Truth is...I could've kept up with that thing but there's no way I would have beaten it alone. I was only able to finish it off because somehow Amaya was dealing serious damage to that thing which weakened it's reaction time. Around when I first came to this world, I heard of an academy where you can learn sword fighting techniques. I'd say it's about a four days walk away from here. I need to get stronger if I want to save lives. So…...In the next day or so, I'll make a trip over there."

Emi looked at Amaya.

"I want to learn how to fight. Can we go to the forest and train?"

Amaya looked surprised.

"Yeah….sure. We can head over there right now but...you have to train your hardest."

"Yes! I will train my hardest!" Emi excitedly shouted.

Amaya turned and looked at Kastu.

"You wanna come too?"

"Yeah, sounds like a good idea." Katsu replied.

They started walking towards the exit/entrance of the village.

After walking for some time, they stopped.

They were in a shaded area in the forest.

"This should be a relaxing place to train." said Amaya.

Katsu walked over to a tree and sat down."While you guys are training I'll be right here."

Amaya looked at Emi.

"Okay. Try your hardest to hit me, I'll only dodge."

"Yes!" Emi shouted.

Amaya walked away from Emi to put distance between them.

She stopped, and turned to look at Emi.

"I'm going to count down. When I reach zero, that's when you start trying to attack, okay?"

"Okay."said Emi.

Amaya started counting down.

"Five…four...three…two…one!"

Emi began running towards Amaya and swung her arm.

"Gotcha!"

Amaya quickly moved to her left, leaving Emi to only hit air.

"No fair! You're too fast." said Emi.

She turned to Amaya and ran at her. Emi swung her arm at once again.

Amaya moved to her right and all Emi had hit was the air.

"We are going to keep doing this until you hit me." said Amaya.

"But that's never going to happen!"

Amaya smiled.

"If you at least come close to hitting me, I'll reward you with a snack."

Emi's face was filled with pure joy.

"Yay! Okay…. I got this"

She began to run at Amaya and yelled.

"I'll get you this time!"

One hour later….. Emi was laying on the floor.

"I'm…...so tired."

Amay just stood there looking at Emi.

"Okay.... I think that's enough training for today. I'll reward your efforts with a snack" . Emi quickly stood up in excitement.

"There's a training academy somewhere on the other side of the forest.

They teach magic, sword fighting, martial arts and some other things." said Katsu.

"Maybe me and Emi should sign up there." Amaya replied.

Katsu then stood up.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea."

Amaya then thought to herself.

"If me and Emi go to that academy, it will save me time from having to teach her how to fight. On top of that, I can also learn to use magic and learn some things about this world. Good idea!"

Amaya looked at the sky then loudly spoke with a smile on her face "This place really is like a realistic game!"

Katsu looked shocked and thought to himself.

"She just said this place is like a realistic game! Wait… could she have woken up in this world just like me!?"

Katsu looked at Amaya and asked

"What do you mean?"

Amaya's sweat ran down her cheek as she thought to herself.

"Whoops…. I can't let people from this world know I'm from another world because who knows how they'll react. They might see me as a threat."

Amaya then turned to face Katsu.

"T-That's just an expression I heard from someone. It means that I'm feeling happy."

"I had no idea." Katsu replied.

"Yes! That was a good and believable lie."nAmaya thought to herself.

Katsu wore an expression on his face as if he was trying to put together a puzzle. He then thought to himself.

"People in this world don't have gaming technology. She couldn't have meant games like chess because she said it was very realistic. Meaning, whoever she heard that from….must be from my world."

Amaya broke the silence.

"Alright… I think we should head back to town."

"Yes! I can't wait for my snack." Emi excitedly shouted.

"Yeah, we should." said Katsu

They all began walking back to town.
