14 First Day At The Academy

After watching Katsu walk off into the forest Amaya turned to Emi.

"I have an Idea. Since Katsu left for training, he'll be gone for a while. Which means we should check out the training academy he told us about. But I think we'll have to ask around to find the exact location."

"Okay, lets go!" Emi excitedly shouted.

They began walking back into town.

Amaya looked around and asked herself "Okay so where should I ask first?"

She walked up to a random villager and began asking.

"Hey, sorry to bother you. I heard something about a training academy somewhere on the other side of the forest. Do you know how we would be able to get there?"

The villager smiled.

"Actually I do. One of my daughters registered to go. If you wanna go, you'll have to go register. After that they'll give you a map of the location."

"Where do I register?"

"At the adventurer's guild of this town." The villager replied.

"Thanks for the help." Said Amaya. She turned around and walked off.

They had arrived at the guild. Amaya and Emi walked inside. They walked up to the counter and saw the lady who was there last time.

"Oh, you guys are back. What can I help you with?" the lady asked.

"We want to register for the training academy,"

The lady smiled.

"Okay, let me get the papers for you girls." She went down behind the counter. As she was behind the counter, the sound of papers moving around can be heard followed by the sound of metal falling and glass breaking.

A cat let out a scream.

"Meow!!"

Amaya scratched the back of her head and thought to herself.

"Ha ha. There is always something weird going on behind that counter."

The woman stood up and handed Amaya two papers.

"Just write down your information and then I'll give you a map to the location." said the woman.

Amaya looked down at the paper.

"Can I have a pen or pencil?" Amaya asked.

"Yes,give one second,'' said the lady." She went down behind the counter. She stood back up and handed a pencil to Amaya.

Amaya put the paper on the counter and wrote down her information.

Amaya then went to the second paper and thought to herself.

"What was Emi's age again? Crap, I forgot. I'll just leave it blank.

Amaya handed the papers back to the lady.

"Okay, let me get the map for you." said the lady.

She went down behind the counter.

A couple seconds went by and the lady finally stood back up then handed a map to Amaya. She grabbed it and looked down at it.

"Dang! That's pretty far." Amaya thought to herself.

She looked at the lady and thanked her for the help.

Amaya and Emi then walked out of the guild.

After leaving, Amaya looked up at the sky.

"We should probably start walking now. We're going to have to camp out."

"Okay, I can't wait!" Emi shouted in excitement.

Nightfall had come. Amaya and Emi had stopped and started a campfire.

Emi laid down against a tree while Amaya sat next to the fire and thought to herself.

"I leveled up during the tournament. I haven't had time to check my stats. Also, I haven't checked out the description of that rage skill I got in that dungeon. I guess I'll do all that now."

Amaya focused on the circle icon in the top left corner of her view and brought up the menu. She went to her stats.

(Level:15 Hp:556 Mp:332 Atk:339 Speed:117 Endurance:109)

"I leveled four times just from that one fight with Kazuhiko. My stats increased a lot. Time to check out that rage skill."

(Skills: Analyze, Dash, Penetrate, Rage, no other skills)

Amaya focused on the skill that said "Rage" and a description came up.

(Rage: When mad your stats will rapidly increase for the rest of the fight. When you reach a certain level of madness, you will blackout and your body will be running on instincts. Anyone or anything that looks into your eyes while this skill is active, their stats will temporarily decrease by 40% to 60% You only take 50% of damage done to you.

The more mad you are, the higher your stats will increase. Your stats return to normal after the fight is over.)

"No wonder why I was able to win." said Amaya.

Amaya let out a yawn and her eyes watered.

"I guess it's time to sleep."

She laid down against one of the trees and slowly closed her eyes.

Next morning….There was a large shadow hovering over Amaya's body.

The sound of heavy breathing had woken her. As she opened her eyes, there was a large creature standing in front of her. It was an orc. She looked up.

"An orc?!"

It was wearing silver chest armor and had a long sword attached to it's back. Amaya quickly jumped to her feet. And slowly took a couple steps back.

"What do you want?" said Amaya.

The orc grinned.

"We were planning to kill you girl's while you slept. You are awake now, so we will mess with you for a bit."

"We?" Amaya asked.

Multiple orcs came out from the trees and surrounded Amaya. There were six all together. Amaya turned and saw that Emi was still sleeping.

"Maybe I should try to beat them before she wakes up." She thought to herself. Amaya faced back to the orc wearing armor.

"Are you their leader?"

The orc wore an evil smile.

"Yes, I am the mighty leader of this orc group, human. We will show you true fear."

"So if I beat you then your orcs will back down?" Amaya asked.

"You will have to face them before you face me."

He turned to face one of the orcs who were standing next to him.

"I give you permission to destroy this human."

Amaya quickly looked at the orc as it's stats came into view.

(Hp:1,000 Atk:350 Mp:30 Speed:40 Endurance: 39)

She then looked at their leader.

(Hp:4,000 Armor:1,567 Atk:670 Mp:187 Speed:89 Endurance:79)

"This might be a bit difficult." Amaya thought to herself.

The orc that got permission to kill Amaya had walked up to her. Amaya looked up and glared at the orc as It lifted it's arm.

"Bye, human." It swung it's arm down at Amaya as stepped to the side.

"You guys are pretty slow. Penetrate!" Amaya swung her fist and hit the orc face.

(Orc: Hp: 0/1,000)

The orc fell on it's back.

The orc leader was both surprised and angry

"What!? My orc was defeated by a weak human?"

Two orcs from behind Amaya ran at her. They both swung their fists as she quickly ducked.

"It feels great to be fast." She kicked the back of one of the orcs' legs. It fell on it's back and Amaya prepared to throw a punch.

"Goodbye,orc." She then slammed her fist into its face.

The other orc grabbed Amaya's arm and swung her against a tree.

(Amaya: Hp: 398/573)

It then swung it's fist at her. She quickly weaved to the side and struck it's stomach. He swung his fist at her once more but only hit the air.

Amaya jumped up as she swung her leg, hitting the orcs neck.

The two orcs standing behind their leader began running at Amaya. She reached behind and grabbed her dagger. She threw it, peircing one of their eyes. The orc let out scream and it stopped running while the other one continued.

"Aaaaggghhh!!"

The other orc swung it's fist at her face as she moved her hand and caught his fist.

Amaya glared at the orc.

"You orcs are starting to piss me off." She then slammed her knuckles against its nose. (Orc: Hp:647/1,000)

he put his hands on his face and took a couple steps back. Amaya then swung her heel around, hitting it's jaw.

(Orc: Hp:294/1,000)

"Goodbye."

She then took a big powerful swing at it's chest.

The other orc yanked the dagger out of his eye and ran towards Amaya. She kicked his knee and he fell, rolling across the ground. Amaya looked down at the orc and raised her foot then stomped down on his face.

Amaya picked up her dagger and turned to face the leader orc.

"Okay, I'll give a choice. You can walk off and I'll let you live, or you can fight me and I'll end you." said Amaya.

The orc leader grabbed the sword off his back.

"You were able to handle my orcs, how unexpected. You wouldn't be able to beat me so easily...you die here."

He swung the sword at Amaya as she took a couple steps back.

She looked at the orcs' weapons and saw it's stats.

(Weapon: Atk: 117)

"I can't let that thing hit me. If it does, I'll take major damage," Amaya thought to herself.

The orc began chanting.

"Fire, burn, burn like hells fire" He then held out his hand.

Amaya quickly thought to herself "He's about to shoot fire magic. If I move then it'll hit Emi. Guess I'll have to move her. As fire began to shoot out his hand, Amaya ran to Emi and grabbed her.

"Dash!" Amaya quickly dashed over to a tree and hid behind while holding Emi. The fire shot out violently And burned the trees.

Emi woke up and was confused.

"What's going on?"

"Everything's okay, just stay behind this tree." Amaya replied.

The orc stopped shooting fire.

"I have no more magic?!"

Amaya stepped out from behind the tree.

"Thanks for saying that out loud."

She then rushed at him.

"Penetrate!" Two strikes to his chest.

(Orc leader: Hp:4,000 -746 Armor: 1,567 -746)

The orc didn't move an Inch as he looked down and raised his sword.

"Stupid human." He swung it down at Amaya.

"Dash!" She quickly moved to the side as she pulled out her dagger. She then shoved it into his eye.

"Aaaaagggghhhh!!!"

She then yanked it out and stabbed his knee.

(Orc leader: Hp:2,045/4,000 Armor: 821)

He kneeled down in pain as Amaya swung her leg at his face.

"Penetrate!" The impact knocked him on his back.

Amaya grabbed the sword that he dropped and walked over to him.

There was fear in the orcs eyes as she looked down at him.

As she lifted the sword, the orcs eyes widened.

"Sorry." said Amaya.

She swung the sword down on his neck.

(Orc leader: Hp:m63/4,000 Armor: 821)

"You're pretty durable." said Amaya. She lifted her foot above his face.

"This time it's goodbye for sure." She then stomped it down.

Amaya yanked her dagger out from his knee and put it away.

"You can come out now, Emi."

Emi peeked her head out from behind the tree.

"Is it over?" Emi asked.

"Yeah, it is."

Emi walked over and Amaya patted her on the head.

"Alright, let's go."

They continued their walk to the training academy.

An hour had passed and they had finally arrived.

"This is it." said Amaya.

It was a three story tall mansion surrounded by a giant silver gate that had sharp edges on the top.

They walked over to the gate's entrance where a black haired man in a suit was standing.

"Who are you?" the man asked.

"We registered to be students at this school." Said Amaya.

The man looked closely at them as if he was studying them.

"Hmmm, you don't seem to be lying."

He then stepped back and the gate's entrance opened on its own.

Amaya and Emi walked into the yard as the gate closed behind them.

"This way." said the man. He began walking up to the door of the mansion. He held the door open as Amaya and Emi walked in.

"Wait right here. I'm going to call someone to scan your abilities. Your overall will decide what class you are in." He then walked off.

Amaya was surprised by how nice it looked. The floors were polished wood and up above was a shiny gold chandelier. About twenty- feet in front of them were two staircases that were about fif-teen feet apart.

"This place is really nice." Amaya thought to herself.

Emi was looking up at the chandelier in amazement.

The man came back and standing behind him, was a brown haired man with glasses.

"My name is Hidemi" said the man with glasses

He put his hand on the black haired man's shoulder.

"And this here, Is the academy's bodyguard, Atsuya. He's a platinum-rank adventurer. Today I wi-"

Atsuya put his hand on Hidemi's shoulder and interrupted him.

"I'll do the rest of the talking. Hidemi is going to use his skill to see your overall. He cannot see any skills you have or what specific number your stats are. He will also be able to see your element."

"Okay let's see." said Hidemi. He looked at Amaya and her overall came into view.

(Overall: 1,739)

He then looked at Emi and her overall came into view.

(Overall: 30)

"What are your names?" Hidemi asked.

Amaya put her hand on Emi's head.

"This is Emi and I'm Amaya."

"Emi, your element is wind. You will be in the below average class. A class for people with an overall of four-hundred or lower. And Amaya, you can use all the elements. You will be in the above average class. A class for people with an overall of one-thousand-six-hundred or lower."

Atsuya looked at Amaya.

"Amaya, I will lead you to your class. Hidemi, lead Emi to her's."

Atsuya began walking up the stairs as Amaya followed. Once they reached the top of the staircase they turned down the left hallway. They went all the way down to the end then stopped in front of a door. Atsuya held the door open as Amaya walked in. There were other students sitting in chairs and in front of a blackboard was a man wearing a classic tuxedo and a mask that covered the lower half of his face. He Had balck hair and black-colored eyes.

"That man is your teacher. He used to be a silver-rank adventurer named Tuxedo Ninja. Everyone calls him Tux, for short." said Atsuya.

He then looked at Tux.

"This is your new student. Her name is Amaya."

"Nice to meet you, Amaya." said Tux.

He then looked around the classroom.

"Hmm...let's see. I'll have you sit…...there." He then pointed to an empty seat by a window towards the back of the classroom. Amaya walked to her seat and sat down. Atsuya began turned and began walking out of the classroom.

"I'll be leaving now." He shut the door as he left.

Tux let out a sigh.

"Okay, Amaya. Since you're new, I'm going to quickly tell you all the basics. It's your job to write it down and memorize it. Here's a notebook and pencil." He then threw them across the room to Amaya.

She quickly caught them.

"Just a warning, it's going to be a lot of talking. Okay, I'm starting.

Your stats will increase when leveling up. The amount of effort you put in or the amount stress you endured while leveling up all play a part in how much your stats increase. Your total attack power has to be at least twenty five percent of someones/something's health to cut their/it's limb off. To rip someones/something's limb off, your attack has to be seventy percent of their/its health. Putting large amounts of momentum into an attack can double the damage. The damage you deal can also be doubled by hitting weak spots such as the head and throat. Speeds one to one-hundred are normal human speeds. One-hundred-one to Two-hundred are superhuman speeds. Two-hundred-one to three-hundred is moving the speed of sound. Three-hundred-one to four-hundred is moving two times the speed of sound. Four-hundred-on to five-hundred is moving three times the speed of sound. Five-hundred-one to six-hundred is moving four times the speed. Six-hundred-one to seven-hundred is moving 5 times the speed of sound. Seven-hundred-one to eight-hundred is moving at the speed of light, if you somehow make it there. Your eyes can only see the movements of a speed that is up to twice of yours. If it's any higher, then you won't be able to keep up with the movement. That's all the basics, any questions?"

"No." said Amaya.

Tux looked at three of the students.

"Suzuki, Misaki, Maria, you will be roommates with Amaya. Okay class, we are going outside and practice using magic. Let's head out."

They went into the yard in front of the mansion. There was a peice of wood sticking out of the ground that was holding a metal target.

"I'm going to call a couple of you up here. When it's your turn, launch a magic attack at this target here. Amaya, you're first."

Amaya walked up and stood about fif-teen feet away from the target.

Tux continued "I know you probably haven't used magic before so I'll explain to you how to do it. Imagine a spell based on your Element. Then give your spell a name and say it out loud. It's rare that someone can cast a spell without calling it's name out. If u can somehow do that then I'll give you a score of one-hundred on this test."

He then turned and looked at the rest of the class.

"And that goes for all of you as well."

Tux turned back to Amaya.

"Okay, you may start."

Amaya held out her hand and closed her eyes and began thinking to herself.

"Which type of spell should I cast? I'll go with a classic spell. Imagine a fireball, burning"

Atsuya and Hidemi were also standing in front of the mansion, monitoring the class.

Suddenly, a fireball shot out from Amaya's hand and launched at the target.

it was completely destroyed. Tux was shocked and so were Atsuya and Hidemi.

Hidemi then turned to look at Atsuya.

"Something is strange about that girl. Her aura is white and her overall didn't seem off but… due to my sixth sense skill, I knew something was off. Like something within was telling me that she could either be a great threat….or great allie. It's different from the way my sixth sense feels around you. I know this is our first day seeing her but you know that my 'Sixth Sense' skill is a pretty high level. I don't know why but it just gives me the feeling that one day, she'll be a high ranker,maybe even passing platinum."

Atsuya looked shocked.

"Do you mean….."

"That's right. I can sense that she has potential, to be legendary-rank"
