122 Teamwork 3

Floating in the air before them, Lex Luthor and Superman inspected the figure of Ultraman. His mere presence brought an air of brutality and power. His blue outfit with a gold belt and gold bracers was form-fitting, his cape showed red to the outside but also had a gold inner lining. The U on his chest became a symbol of fear and oppression to Earth.
"I said, Let Go of My Boy."
Ultraman studied the figure that held Jimmy like he was a wimp. Jimmy was no wimp Kal-IL (Ultraman) knew that, or he would have killed him long ago. Seeing the disappointment in his boss's eyes, Jimmy tried to struggle free, but he was only able to move around a little bit.
That movement though, was enough to surprise Kal-IL tremendously.
"What the HELL is a loser from the house of EL doing on my planet? You know the rules, this planet belongs to me, Kal of the house of IL. It is mine to do with as I please until I turn it over to the Kryptonian High Council to sell to the highest bidder. No way the Council would send a Scientist caste weakling to test me, so tell me what you're doing here."
"Don't worry about him, Ultraman. You've got problems of your own." Lex's clenched fists started to glow golden as he charged Ultraman. Building up all the momentum he could in the air he flew as fast as he could in a short burst and would up his right arm to deliver his max strength punch to the square jaw of his most hated foe.
Reflexively increasing the forward propulsion of his right jet boot to add more power to his swing, Lex turned his waist into the punch and added his upper body's strength by putting his back into the blow. Lex Luthor unloaded all his frustrations and all his emotions into this first blow to set the tone for the follow-up fight and was rewarded by the feeling of impact in his right fist.
For all his rage and frustration, Lex's blow simply made Ultraman's head turn slightly. Ultraman's expression didn't change at all, his eyes remained locked on to Luthor's eyes. Lex, without pause, unloaded lefts and right punches on the jaw of Ultraman, all to no effect other than turning his head a bit.
Finally tiring of taking the punches, Ultraman dodged a blow by turning his body faster than Luthor could register.
"Getting cocky, Lex?" Ultraman smiled as he taunted this pathetic bald human. He did however keep an eye out for the pansy-ass scientist to interfere. He only had to worry about a surprise attack from him, no way the house of IL would lose to a member of the house of EL in a straight-up fight.
Luthor seeing that all his might combined with his scientific armor couldn't do any damage to his most hated foe lost his reason for a moment, and started to swing his fists wildly. This lapse in judgment made it easier than ever for Ultraman to evade and turn this fight into a farce.
Getting bored with it all, Ultraman waited for the next swing from Luthor and grabbed his forearm with ease and stopped Lex's offensive efforts with humiliating ease. Lex's fist was still alight with energy but with his arm being held by Ultraman it was nothing but a ball of light.
Ultraman leaned back with his right shoulder and delivered an overhand right directly to Luthor's face. The punch was blocked by the shielding system of the armor but enough energy made it through that Lex felt the punch on his jaw and it knocked him loose from Ultraman's grip. After a good 30 yards, he managed to stabilize himself in the air.
Ultraman simply floated in the spot he had delivered the punch from and looked contemptuously at Lex Luthor. "You think you can come to my place of business and call me out?"
He rushed at Luthor again and delivered a right hook to Luthor's face. This time knocking him back so hard that Lex busted through the roof of a building and continued out the side of the building a few floors down from the top. Lex continued to fall uncontrolled until he hit another roof and came to a stop with a grunt of pain.
As Luthor lay for a second in pain, he tried to move to see what kind of damage he had sustained. Before he could get a feel for it though, the air was split as Ultraman landed on him with another right fist, but this time to his body. Lex groaned again at the impact that his shields just couldn't stop entirely.
Ultraman grabbed Luthor by the throat and held him up. His hand was blocked by the shielding so he couldn't choke the man out like he so dearly wanted to.
"Did you forget who I am? How I got to be the boss of bosses? I am here because I'm the baddest of the bad. Anybody who ever stood in my way is DEAD. EVERYBODY!!!"
Ultraman decided to unleash his Ultra Ray on Luthor, in the hope that he could drain his shield enough he could choke the life out of him. After all, his father told him 'Be the Strongest there is, Kal-IL… Or be Nothing at all!' and he took that as his personal life motto. He smiled in anticipation of yet another win.
Lex felt the heat of the Ultra Ray hitting his shields and regained his cool after the blows from Ultraman knocked his sense back into him.
"I brought you a present." Lex looked over his right glove and a compartment opened up revealing a small blue crystal. The crystal fell into his hand, and he held it as if showing it off to Ultraman. As soon as the blue glow bathed the side of Ultraman's face his Ultra Ray cut out and his eyes widened in shock.
Ultraman reflexively dropped Lex and fell backward onto the roof of the building they were on. All strength having left his body, Ultraman raised his right hand as if to use it to shield himself from the rays of the blue crystal. He groaned out in unfamiliar pain and weakness.
His voice weak, "Blue kryptonite. But I…"
Luthor held out the crystal and approached Ultraman as he backed away, sliding back on his butt. "The only thing that can hurt you."
Ultraman again weakly tried to say, "But I…"
Lex interrupted him, "Destroyed the last piece on Earth? True. But I've been visiting other Earths." Lex tossed the crystal in the air and caught it in his fist, then he delivered an uppercut punch to the sitting Ultraman. The blow lifted Ultraman into the air and over the side of the roof edge.
He plummeted down to the street where he landed on a crosswalk, leaving a body-shaped dent as he helplessly lay there groaning. The people on the street cautiously approached him but backed away as he started to weakly sit up.
Luthor flew down from the roof and landed before the sitting figure. Superman, still holding Jimmy landed near him as well.
With rage-filled eyes, Ultraman looked at them. "You are so gonna regret this."
"Got a message for you boss of bosses. Things are changing. When you do wrong, there are more and more of us who aren't afraid to set it right."
Though the regular people watching wanted to cheer, they knew better than to draw attention to themselves. They fearfully backed away, but in their hearts, they all hoped Lex Luthor was right.
As the police arrived, Luthor had placed handcuffs on both Jimmy and Ultraman. The cuffs on Ultraman had a bit of the blue kryptonite in them so he couldn't break free and would remain weak. Lex shoved Ultraman into the back of a police truck and took a mental picture. This was a sight all the members of the Justice League had wanted to see for years, he only wished they were still here to see it.
Superman and Lex, both watched as the doors closed on the two criminals. Then the truck started and pulled away quickly, the driver wanted to get rid of his cargo as quickly as possible. Finally, after the truck was gone a few people cheered and surrounded Lex, thanking him for his efforts.
Moments later, two men wearing black suits and matching red ties approached both Lex and Superman. Both men had radios in their ears and held up gold badges.
"United States Secret Service. The President would like a word with you."
