84 Tree Of Life?

The task was done and they had returned to Qwing's tree home. Malakas was back to his small form and was currently grumbling about feeling puny.

Knocking on the door, they waited for a response.

"Come in!" The sound of a beating chest was heard.

They walked in to see Qwing back in his gorilla form. The chest opened up and the gibbon came jumping out, once again.

Raikou withdrew the Ox-King's body from his inventory and dropped it on the floor. The body dropped with a bang and shook the ground from its weight.

"You killed him?" Qwing was pleasantly surprised.

"It was an extremely difficult task, so give us what you promised." He may have omitted the part where it was extremely easy, but a small lie doesn't make a difference.

Qwing started to pommel the corpse with all his might, until nothing was left of it.

He was breathing heavily with rage, "I have finally been able to have some closure over the situation. I was able to avenge my beautiful Goku."

Tears dripped from his eyes, which he quickly wiped and turned his attention back towards them.

"Goku? That sounds familiar." Raikou was thinking about the name of his lover, which sounded like something he had heard before.

"In terms of information, I can give you a map detailing all important parts of the continent. Mind you, it's a huge map. Ask me any other questions you may have." He handed them a map that was folded over 10 times.

"I only have two questions. How many transcendents do you know of that reside in the Ferus continent? Also, do you know of any Lion/Tiger 'situations' that have occurred recently?" The first question was to gauge how rampant he could be in the land of beasts, and the second was to find the home of the young Shimba.

"Publicly, there are only 4 transcendents residing in the continent, and two of them are a part of the Buer Royal Family. Of the remaining two, one is unaffiliated and the other is a member of the Taiga Noble Family. Lion bloodlines are the most prestigious on the continent, so your question about a lion/tiger union is a taboo here. If it did happen, then it would all be silenced quickly, so I don't have any information on it." Qwing looked over at the cub in Satella's arms curiously.

Ghost stepped forward, "Don't forget the other thing you promised us."

Qwing looked downcast upon the mention of the other thing he had promised. He was hoping that they had forgotten.

Turning around he went and rummaged in some sort of spatial pocket in the tree. Pulling out a branch, he came back and handed it to Raikou.

Effect: Can be used to triple the user's lifespan. The other option is to absorb the branch, which will gradually increase your realm up to the saint realm.

Raikou's eyes widened in exhilaration. The first effect is what most cultivators would go for, but he knew that he would eventually reach a cultivation that would give him an extremely long lifespan. Also, he wasn't excited by the notion of immortality, but he did want to live for a long time. Immortality seemed empty, no matter who you share it with.

He signalled Domyo, who helped him absorb it into his body. His body was filled with a warm light.

His cultivation base exploded in growth upon absorption, which led to him rising by 4 levels. He inspected his cultivation.

A pleasant side effect of absorbing the tree of life branch. Coming to this treehouse came with bountiful rewards, and was far superior in merit compared to the initial basic information he was seeking.

Seeing the improvements going on in him, the rest of them just stood there in awe. Never had they seen someone improve drastically in a matter of moments.

"Right! Let's go and find Shimba's family! Thank you for the help, but I hope to never see you or your donger ever again." Raikou ran out of the treehouse with the utmost of haste.

The tree of life branch was still working its magic and would slowly get him to the saint realm even without the accumulation of experience points, but it would take a long time.

Malakas took the mask off his face with excitement as they left. Everyone jumped on his back and he took flight.

"Ghost, I think you should fly by yourself. Having one less person on my back would be nice after all." Malakas was persistently trying to make Ghost fly by himself ever since he had found out about his retractable wings.

Ghost was currently reclined on his back and looking at the sky.

"I'm good. I like it here, so I think I will stay. Flying myself is boring and takes alot of effort."

Malakas groaned, but couldn't anything. If he flipped upside down, everyone would fall off, not just Ghost, so he had to give in for now.

Raikou unfolded the map and took a look at where the main kingdom of this continent was located. Looking at it, it seemed to be extremely far away. The map said it was over 9,000 miles away from where they currently were at.

He pointed Malakas in the right direction and they began their advance to the Buer Kingdom.
