41 Title At The Bottom

Raikou sold the three rank 4 beasts for 280 gold. The tiger was worth less, as the core wasn't fully developed. He was surprised by how much they went for, because a rank 3 beast sells for a price from 10 to 100 silver. The weakest rank 4 beast goes for around 100 gold, the tiger wasn't a complete rank 4 beast, so it doesn't follow that base number.

He walked out of the store and could sense something sinister being aimed in his direction.

Ding! Observation broken through to Absolution!

You can now sense killing intent and malice aimed at you within a 100meter radius.

His observation technique broke through from the sinister feeling he was getting. It now allowed him to pinpoint where it was coming from.

To find out who or what it was, Raikou slipped into an alley and started rolling up his cloak. This was done to make himself seem vulnerable to someone who wanted to attack him.

Within moments of entering the alley, he could feel the presence getting closer. The closer it got, the more separated it felt. He saw two huge shadows approaching the alley.

"There you are! A perfect place for us to kill you and take that wolf of yours." Hames and Rodriguez were the ones stalking him. It seems his antics had not sat well with them and they wanted to attack him for it.

"Hey Ghost, I told you. They want your ass!" Raikou smirked at Ghost.

"I don't think you have time to be focusing on other things." Rodriguez finally spoke and pulled out his mace.

"I had assumed you were the smart one out of you two, but you're both just stupid, ugly ogres!"

"What did you say! I dare you to say it again!" Hames was infuriated by his remark.

"Fine. I said you're both stupid, ugly ogres. You're just jealous of my saintly good looks, however I just wanted to tell you something else."

"What?" Hames really was stupid.

"Come closer, I'll tell you." Raikou whispered.

Hames stepped forward to listen to what Raikou had to say.

Raikou was gobsmacked by his gullibility. "I just wanted to say, you two are the ones who are fucked today! You are right though. This is a perfect place to kill someone!" As he finished his sentence, he lunged at Hames and stabbed him in his thigh.

He could've killed him instantly with the surprise attack, but he had some new skills he hadn't used yet.

"Right then. I only plan on using one skill on you guys. I hope you don't die too quick."

"Tsk, so arrogant. You only injured my brother, because it was a sneak attack." Rodriguez ran at Raikou with his mace held above his head.

The brother's attacks looked tactless, but that was only due to them being extremely confident of their body strength. Arrogance was their downfall.

Raikou let the mace reach 10 centimeters away from his before he dodged.

"Activate Aura!" He screamed. The 7% physical stat boost filled his body with power, however he didn't attack.

He continously dodged them with his heightened agility. The aim was to see how long aura would last in a battle. It was a dangerous plan, but it's not like Raikou went in without a contingency. Ghost had secretly climbed up one of the walls in the alley and was slowly congealing an ice spear of high power.

If Raikou was weakened severely by the effects of aura running out, Ghost would kill the brothers with the ice spear. This usually wouldn't work, but Ghost had alot of time to strengthen the power within the spear.

Raikou continously dodged for 5 minutes before he started to feel the effects of aura wane.

"You coward! Dodging all this time, now you're starting to slow down!" The twins were extremely tired from the continuous attacks.

Raikou signalled Ghost and he shot the ice spear in Rodriguez. The shock from seeing his brother get instantly killed by the ice spear dazed Hames long enough for Raikou to behead him.

+50,000xp.

He was quite regretful that he didn't get the xp for killing Rodriguez.

He looked at his stats to see that they have dropped by 50%.

"That's a steep decrease! This skill should only be used when i'm in a dire situation."

If he wanted the penalty to lower, he needed to get a better mastery of the skill, and he needed to improve affinity of his darkness element.

"Nice attack!" Raikou commended Ghost. The speed of his spear was extremely swift and was undodgable by Rodriguez. Of course, the brothers were strength type warriors, rather than agility making them much slower than others at the same rank.

Raikou put their bodies in his inventory to bury at a safer place.

He timed how long the aura's restrictions lasted. He waited two hours and his stats still hadn't gone back up.

"This is fucking bad! Still a better skill than berserk though, that doesn't even work on me with my current stats. It's too low in rank." He thought.

"Hey system, is it possible for you to details these things in the description next time?"

"It's not going to happen. I told you, no uselessness allowed! I can tell you that there are severe restrictions, but you will have to figure out it's severity yourself."

"Tsk, how lazy. Just admit it, you can't be bothered to add it in."

"..." The system ignored him and stopped responding.

Raikou went back to the wagon and waited for time to pass. There was still a few hours left till Gio would return.

He entered the wagon to see Bri sitting there.

"Oh, you're here already. Did you not look around?" Raikou asked.

"No need. What do these little towns even have..." Bri remarked.

"It's quite beautiful. The smell is amazing too." Raikou's eyes lit up when he described the town.

"You haven't seen much of the world have you?" Bri could see the inexperience in his eyes, as he excited by such a small town.

"Hmph, don't look down on me. I just like to appreciate things." Raikou got up and proclaimed his greatness.

Ghost came and sat next to Raikou. "We're in the same boat. I hadn't left that forest till you met me."

Raikou laughed at smacked Ghost on his back, "Together we will explore the whole of Epsilon!"

Bri was amused by the behaviour of the two and smiled.

Raikou laid down in satisfaction from the days events and closed his eyes.

"Ah, I'm just going to relax and wait for these effects to disappear." Raikou thought.
