Raikou cleaned himself up and freshened his mouth of all the vomit.
"Damn. That was fucking disgusting. He really pissed me off. I didn't think I would ever do something that damn crazy!" Raikou exclaimed.
Ghost didn't seem to fazed by the sight. "I have seen things just as bad occur all the time in the forest before I left with you. Of course, I have never seen such a weird human in my whole life."
Raikou inspected his stats to see his improvements.

His whole body was brimming with power. The continous breakthroughs gave him an amazing boost in stats. His cloud slashes and steps had broken through, due to their use in an actual battle with someone. The beasts they killed had been done without the need for any skills, as the archer was extremely useful in heavily injuring them.
To his surprise, he had unknowingly activated berserk against Sugondese. It wasn't required, but it seems his anger had set it off unknowingly. He would be in a weakened state from it ending, but his breakthrough offsetted all that.
Raikou sighed. He cleared his mind of what just occurred and set off to look for more beasts.

There was only 1 day left for the trial to end. Raikou looked down at his token to see the '543' on it. Even he didn't know how many beasts he had killed at this point.
"Hey Ghost, it's the last day. Let's sort out that 'itch' of yours." Raikou laughed.
Ghost was ecstatic. "Now you're talking! LET'S GO!"
Raikou wasn't into any forceful actions and wouldn't allow Ghost to 'deal' with his issue, unless the other party consented.

They looked around until they found a she-wolf at the lower stages of rank 2. She was no normal wolf, she was covered in ice and had horns. Raikou as curious about her species and inspected her.
Name: Unnamed She-Wolf. (A/N: Beasts can't speak using their tongue till rank 4. So, I don't plan on giving them names, unless I contract them to Raikou.)
Cultivation: Rank 2 1st Level.
Species: Frost Horned Wolf.
"... The naming sense in this world is down right terrible. I wanted some special name, but her species was so literal." He exclaimed before turning towards Ghost. "Go up to her and make your proposal. You can let out your energy to show her how kickass your cultivation is, but you can't attack or force her!"
"You don't understand the ways of a beast..." Ghost was disappointed with the constraints.
"Well if you're with me you are going to need some morals. Clean up your act you dodgy son of a bitch."
Ghost grumbled and walked over. Raikou didn't eavesdrop, as he didn't want to her any lewd conversations. Within a minute he saw the she-wolf turn around and bend over.
"WHAT THE FUCK! It was that damn easy?" Raikou quickly ran away and waited for Ghost to return.
Raikou waited an hour before Ghost finally returned.
"Why did you take so long?" Raikou exclaimed.
"Hahaha! You underestimate the stamina of the mighty GHOST!" Ghost laughed. "On top of that, her bloodline was purer than me, so I improved by fucking her. Can you protect me while I breakthrough."
Raikou showed a disgusted expression and nodded.
The commotion of Ghost's breakthrough grabbed the attention of 5 rank 3 fire tigers. Raikou got up and tried to shoo them away, as he knew it would highly difficult for him to fight them on his own.
2 of them were in the lower levels and 2 were in the mid levels of rank 3. Raikou wouldn't have been fazed by them, but their leader was giving off a more fearsome aura.
He saw the bloodlust in their eyes and knew there was no scaring them off. He burst forward and used his 3 slashes to decapitate the two low level tigers.
The tigers were surprised by his speed, however that surprise was overwhelmed by their anger. 2 of their own had been killed.
Raikou had speed on his side, as tigers favoured strength, however he couldn't use his speed to escape with Ghost nearby.
The leader lunged out and Raikou dodged it and slashed at one of it's subordinates. It only injured the tigers and didn't kill them.
"Damn it! That was supposed to insta-kill them, so that I could deal with this peak rank 3 tiger." Raikou thought.
After some thought he decided to activate berserk. He felt a great strength enter his body, as he instantly lunged forward with his sword gripped in front of him. He slashed downwards and split the head of one of the tigers. The other tiger was filled with fear from his sudden burst of power.
It ran behind it's leader and began growling again.
Raikou knew there was a limit to berserk and didn't waste anytime. He ran towards the tiger and leaped towards a tree at the last minute. He kicked off the tree trunk for added speed and impaled the last subordinate with his sword.
"Now it's just you and me motherfucker!" Raikou screamed.
The tiger was furious. It was their leader and it couldn't even protect them. This human had run circles around it, and it couldn't do anything. The tiger's eyes went red, as it began growing in size.
"Fuck, it's breaking through forcefully! I pissed it off that much! Then again, I did slaughter it's bitch ass subordinates." Raikou smirked.
He interrupted the breakthrough and kicked the tiger in the head. Using the force of the kick he leapt towards a tree and stood on a branch.
"Come on you fucker! Come attack me, when I am this high!" Raikou gloated.
The tiger looked up, leaned forward and leapt up to the branch and smacked it's paw of Raikou's chest. He went flying into another tree and the trunk snapped. He quickly evaded the falling tree and fell to the floor again.
He coughed up some blood. "How the fuck did it jump that damn high, I didn't think it was possible! I am lighter and faster, and I still had to use the moment of my kick to get up this 100 meter tree. Fuck, I am so stupid! The breakthrough didn't fail, I gave it too much time while I gloated to forcefully go to rank 4." He came to this conclusion, as he saw the tiger approaching covered in flames.
"HUMAN! You have angered this lord today!" The tiger roared.
"You can speak?" Raikou was surprised, then he remembered it is now a rank 4 beast. "Who cares if you can speak. You're going to die for targeting my friend!" Raikou's confidence came from the notification he had received after being slammed into that tree.
Fiendgod Body Refining Method has broken through to Transcendence!
+16 Strength. +18 Agility. +18 Toughness.
He leapt forward with newfound strength and stabbed the tiger in the eye.
"That's the end of that.
Killed Rank 4 Beast!
+50,000xp.
He had gotten 45,000xp from killing the other tigers and 50,000xp from this one.
(A/N: I'm going to tone down the xp from each beast after this. I didn't scale the xp rewards well, sorry!)
He looked at his stats.

He had breakthroughs in all his skills, except observation. The use of the skills would be smoother, the boosts would be more significant and the drawbacks would lessen significantly. He was now completely invincible against anyone under rank 4.
An early rank 4 would be difficult to defeat, let alone kill. The tiger had an incomplete breakthrough, and was weaker than the usual early rank 4 cultivator. Breaking through to rank 4 and 7 give a cultivator transformations that other breakthroughs wouldn't give.
Raikou was broken out of his thoughts by the sound of a notification.
Pet 'Ghost' has broken through to rank 3!
2 Evolution Options:
- Frost Greatwolf: Frost bloodline is strengthened. The size would increase to 3m and strength would be increased exponentially.
- Frost Winged Wolf: Frost bloodline is strengthened. Size would decrease to 1.5m and agility would be increased exponentially. Wings will grow out of the back and give your pet the ability to fly.

This notification wasn't given to Raikou when Ghost broke through to rank 2, as it had already been in that realm previously. Raikou looked at the options and immediately picked the second one.
"Flying is cool!" Raikou exclaimed.
"Indeed it is." He saw Ghost slowly walking towards him with his wings out.
"Wipe that smug look from your face!" Raikou pretended to be annoyed, but was happy for his friend's advancement. "Let's get out of this shitty trial."
