89 Scars on Shcar

Raikou ran towards Shcar and kicked him in his gut. Shcar dropped to the ground and groaned. His body began to glow as he dashed at Raikou.

"See. Now he's bowing. " He smirked and lifted his hand up to casually block Shcar's attack. "Well, atleast he was for a second."

Everyone froze in shock upon seeing how nonchalantly he blocked the strike.

He rained down a multitude of punches onto Shcar's head. Pulling out his sword, he attacked with cloud slashes and sent the huge lion flying.

"You will die for this! You will die!" Shcar struggled to get up, as he attempted to escape back into the castle.

Ghost grabbed him and brought him back to Raikou. "Oh no no no. You shouldn't go running to old men when you get scared. He should come out himself eventually anyway. Let's wait patiently for your sugar daddy." His weakened state made it easy for even Ghost to subdue him. The humiliation continued as his body was pummelled into the ground and his head was used as a stool for the wolf.

Blood seeped into the ground from the wounds created by Raikou's sword. "It seems I will have left some scars on Shcar. How unfortunate."

It was now just a waiting game for the man behind the scenes to arrive. The crowd was too terrified to move, as they were unsure of Raikou's temperament, so everyone stayed frozen in place while watching the spectacle.

"Sir. He may be our enemy, but he is still of the Leo family. To humiliate him like this would look bad on all of us." Mufasha looked at his brother with pity.

"Ahhh, but he deserves it." Raikou ignored the king and continued to sit on the lion with Ghost.

He only involved himself in this situation because of Shimba, so Mufasha's word didn't have much pull around his group.

The doors of the castle slowly opened as a figure slowly appeared from behind them. It was a man. His grey hair was long and voluminous, much like a mane.

Raikou turned to look at Mufasha. "You told me that your father in law was a peak saint. I'm just having a guess, but him being in a human form usually suggests that he has transcended."

Mufasha was trembling while looking at his father in law. He was still able to put up a fight against him when he was a peak saint, but now...

"We're doomed." The king whispered.

Raikou was dreading the fight himself, but he still tightened his grip around his sword and prepared for battle.

The old lion sneered as he approached. "You're the one who meddled with my plan. You shall die without a grave."

"Stupid clichés. This was meant to be a simple fight, but he 'somehow' powered up conveniently enough to fight me."

The old lion would be a difficult opponent, but it wasn't out of Raikou's range of capability.

Immediately taking the chance, Raikou sent a flurry of strikes towards the lion, all which were dodged, only cutting his clothes in the process.

"You're stronger than I thought. I will use all my power to kill you." The lion roared and began to glow.

"Tsk. Don't you villains have any better lines."

They continued to fight, with neither of them possessing any advantage. It came as a shock to everyone, including the old lion himself.

"How is he fighting a transcendent?" One of the spectators mumbled. Their previous fear had been overwhelmed by the awe they were feeling for the young man that was fighting toe to toe with a mighty transcendent of the Leo family.

"Weaker than I thought." Raikou grinned before launching cloud slashes continuously at his opponent. His energy was starting to lessen, so he began to fight more aggressively to ensure an advantage.

His energy reserves were higher than that of the transcendent, which was evident in the battle slowly going into Raikou's favour.

His swordsmanship had greatly improved during the fight and was currently breaking through to the Sword Saint level.

His attacks got more vicious, and were being blocked less and less.

Blood covered his blade as he continued to slash at the king's father in law.

Under the flurry of attacks, the old lion's body began to give out. Unable to muster any energy to fight back, he fell to the ground and was dealt with one final stab through the heart.

It was a battle of attrition, one that was one won by a lower levelled fighter.
