19 Professions

The next day had already begun. It was time for the rank 2 students to get themselves a profession.

"Master. I just wanted to remind you that your body refining method will not give you anymore stat bonuses when you level up, however you will still get the permanent stat boost from increasing the master."

"That's unfortunate, but if the novels have taught me anything, then the professions will give me that new boost. As I am the MC, I can't be running around with a basic class. Will you be able to derive some special professions from the hall when we arrive."

"I'll see once I get there. Hold your horses."

"You are so lucky you don't have a body..." Raikou spat out in frustration.

"Oh, you're the lucky one. If I had a body, I would be giving you a good spanking daily!"

"...Let's just go."

They entered the hall to see three huge statues representing the 3 basic professions.

There were 3 teachers, each standing next to a statue corresponding to their own professions.

"We are the class change instructors." They said in unison.

The mage instructor stood forward and said "As you step up to the statues they will glow, the one with the brightest glow will be the one you're most suited for." As he said this, he approached the stood at the equidistant point (on a designated circle) of the three statues and the mage statue began glowing the brightest.

Raikou cleared his throat and asked "What if you're a genius like me and they all glow equally brightly?"

The instructors sneered at his arrogance and replied "If that does happen, then you can pick whichever!"

The whole class was glaring at him, as if he was looking down on them all.

"Am I really that beautiful? Please pay attention to the instructors."

"We will leave the 'genius' till last, now everyone step on that circle one by one and determine your profession talents. Then go up to that profession and line up next to the statue."

(A/N: Remember, only the MC has a system. They don't actually get the class, but are trained in it instead.)

Most of the students had talents mainly as warriors or mages, with only 2 being archers.

Raikou stepped forward onto the circle and looked at the statues.

They all began glowing so bright that the students had to cover their eyes.

"HAHAHA, what did I tell you. I can't help being this amazing."

The instructors seemed annoyed at him being the one to attain that result out of everyone.

Raikou thought for a while and walked towards the warrior statue.

"Warriors look the coolest in battle, so I must pick it!" he thought to himself.

Innate Talents tab unlocked!

"What the fuck! I was going to pick Void Swordsman, it looks so cool. Why was I forced to pick this?" He asked the system.

"It was only for a brief moment that the omni option popped up, so I forcefully picked it for you. Void is amazing, but omni is more well rounded. You will be able to use all the elements equally in talent, whereas your option would've only given you the ability to cut through the void."

"But that sounds much better!"

"Maybe for now, but if you're cultivation is high enough then cutting through the void would be easy and your class would become useless."

"Oh, Well thanks then!" He smiled.

The rest of the class wasn't able to see the changes and assumed he was an ordinary warrior.

He went towards the warrior statue triumphantly and smiled. He was satisfied with the path displayed.

The instructors opened the main doors and directed everyone out.

"Your new classes will be shown on your card and will separated into what profession you chose."

Raikou walked back to his dorm and checked the card. He was in Warrior Class 2B.

He entered his room and saw Ghost cultivating on the bed. "Oi bastard, get off the bed. That's my place, your fur will go everywhere."

"Son of a bitch, you already know that a spirit beast's fur and the sort won't shed like that of a normal animal. So what if I sit on your bed, you weren't even here. Anymore of that and I will shit on your bed."

"I'd like to see you try!" He retorted as he pounced on Ghost.

They grappled and wrestled for 5 minutes before giving up.

Raikou looked around to see the whole room in a mess. The worst thing was that they'd broken the bed.

"How am I going to explain this... They're going to accuse me of bestiality!" He muttered.

"Hmph. As if a majestic wolf like me would let you enter me!"

"Eeeee bastard, don't describe it. You made it sound even weirder." Raikou replied before continuing "We can deal with that later. We went to get out classes changed today and I am now an Omni Swordsman! Sounds cool right?"

"Sounds quite extraordinary. Is omni relating to all elements?"

"DAMN RIGHT!"

"Lucky bastard. Even with my increased talents from making a contract with you, I have low level talent in all basic elements except the branch of water which is ice."

There are 7 elements in the world of Epsilon. The 4 basic elements include fire, water, wind and earth. There are 3 special elements that include light, darkness and space. The 3 special elements were rare to find in an individual, and anyone with even one of them would be hailed as a genius.

Raikou was curious to see the new talents tab and decided to open it.

He looked at the elements and was confused.

"Hey system, I assumed I would have apex talent in all 7 elements. What's up with the 3 special elements?"

"Those talents are still higher than that of most people in Epsilon. Anyways, your talents can be improved through quests and other means."

"I better be able to, otherwise I am going to metaphorically castrate you." Raikou exclaimed, receiving no response.

He scrolled down on the tab to see more talents.

Raikou was ecstatic. "I'm fucking amazing. I also have high talents in all other weapons! They should've named the class omni-cultivator instead of swordsman!"
