75 Minokawa

A Heavenly 9th grade armament was something that was extremely rare in Epsilon. Raikou had no intention of handing this over to Maria, but he wanted to return to punish her for her attitude towards him. The plan was to dangle the thing she wanted in front of her, but pull it away just before she had it in her grasp.

"It is a damn good plan!" Raikou was satisfied with his machinations towards the Odelschwanck leader.

The only issue was that the journey to the continent of Ancients was extremely far and he wouldn't be able to return as easily as before. There was no link to leech off for teleportation. They would have to travel all the way there, like peasants.

"I've been really lazy with my skills. With my talents I could learn a skill to teleport, but I have been lacking. I also need new battle skills. These cloud skills are too weak for the current me."

Domyo sighed, "You're not the only one that has been lazy. We are going to set you 3 quests to complete for some rewards. They should help you for now."

"That's the spirit!" Raikou was happy to hear that.

Ding! A quest has been received.

Quest: Save atleast 100 people.

Reward: S rank combat skill.

Quest: Kill atleast 100 people.

Reward: S rank movement skill. (Random skill removal if you kill an innocent individual)

This skill was clearly from Dosho, as it contrasted the saving one above that was probably from Domyo.

Quest: Kill a transcendent.

Reward: Random Pet.

"That's just absurd! Which one of you set this quest?" Transcendents were on a completely different level from Saints. He was able to kill a peak saint with relative ease, but a transcendent would be able to kill him with ease. This was something he knew, as in many records it was stated that a transcendent could kill hundreds of saints with ease, which was a situation where he would only face death.

(A/N: I think I may be sleepy. That paragraph just looks weird to me^)

Dosho had a grin on his face. It explained alot.

"I'm rich as fuck now, so I'm not hopping onto any caravans or running for travel. Let's go buy a fancy mount."

They went into the Albion Royal City and found a store that sold mounts.

The catalogue had hundreds of different mounts available, but only 3 caught Raikou's eye; the Griffin, the Pegasus and the Minoka.

Once he showed interest in these three, the manager took them to a lot that housed these creatures.

"With great luck, we have captured these 3 beasts. We only have one of each, as they were caught over the last 1000 years, but don't have owners. The reason for this is that along with the price of the mounts, they also have to be willing to go with you, which is an issue as these powerful creatures are filled with pride." The manager explained.

The price tag for each of these creatures was 500,000 gold, which isn't something most people could afford and even if they could, the beasts probably wouldn't accept them.

The doors to the lot opened and Raikou was greeted to the sound of the creatures anger. Even after being captured for this long, none of them had given in to their current state. It displayed the true pride and majesty of these creatures.

"Hello! My name is Raikou. Which one of you lucky bastards will have the privilege of me riding you? Wait, that doesn't sound right..." He shouted out.

The griffin turned its head to look at him. Its eyebrows gave off a naturally fierce vibe that would terrify most people.

He had heard of the Griffin and Pegasus from legends, but there wasn't much mention of a Minoka on Earth. He inspected it with curiosity.

Name: Malakas

Species: Minoka

Cultivation: Rank 6 7th Level

The minoka was a inferior version of the legendary Minokawa. It explained why he didn't recognise the name at first, but it was extremely strong and would be a great mount. His heart had been set on this one.

Its body was significantly bigger than the other two, with a body length of 40ft, it stood tall as a proud dragonbird. It had a beak of steel, and its claws too were of steel. Looking at it, its eyes were like mirrors that shone in the light. Each feather was like a sharp sword, ready to defend or attack at anytime.

Raikou walked up to the Minoka and put his hand out. "My name is Raikou, what is yours?"

The Minoka was surprised that a human was treating it equally, rather than a lowly beast like the rest of them. Its eyes showed some interest, but it looked away regardless.

"I need a mount and you are just my type. We both look badass and downright cool, so we're a match." He moved closer and placed his hand on one of the chains binding it. WIth his sword, he broke all the chains and smiled.

The manager went into a panic. "Sir! These are very dangerous creatures that are bound with energy absorbing chains. You shouldn't have done that, we're all dead."

Raikou looked down to see a puddle of urine forming below the manager's feet. His eyes were filled with contempt towards the manager before he put his attention back on the Minoka.

A steely voice rang out, "Why did you free me? Do you not understand that this spells death for you?"

Shockingly, Raikou could not feel any killing intent emanating from the creature, even after being in captivity for all these years.

"I had to make the first move. Your freedom has been granted, so you can either leave or become my mount." Raikou was pretty confident in his game plan.

"What if I want to kill you all before I leave? After all, you humans did capture me for your own selfish motives." It continued to test him.

"I'm going to be honest. You're not exactly strong enough to kill me anyways, but what I said still stands. You can leave or stay, it is up to you." He replied nonchalantly.

The Minoka didn't believe his words and shot one of its feathers at him. Raikou blocked it with ease and released the full might of his energy towards the creature.

Sensing the energy, the Minoka realised he wasn't bluffing.

"Will you really let me leave?" It asked.

"Yes, of course. I am a man of my word."

The Minoka turned around and slowly began to leave. Seeing that Raikou wasn't lying, its steps slowly faltered.

"I don't really know what I would do out there. I have nowhere to go..." Its voice was filled with deep sorrow.

"Come. Come with me and we can see the whole world together." Raikou gave off a genuinely warm smile and the Minoka lowered its neck for Raikou to get on.

Its wings slowly began to flap as the wind generated and blew everything in the warehouse to smithereens.

While they were flying, Raikou could hear voices in the distance, "Hey! What about us? Take us with you too!" The Griffin and the Pegaus cried out.

"Serves them right for being all aloof." He was revelling in the feeling of flying that he had completely forgot that Ghost was still down there.

"Oh shit!"
