62 Leaving The Trial (1)

Raikou had done his duty and was currently finding more demons to kill. A discovery he had made was that demons must be killed for that 'pecularity' to be understood.

In his estimation, one more would be enough.

He wasn't obsessed or frantic like before, but with a clear path, it made no sense not to pursue it.

The skill he had acquired from the quest was to do with light. It pleased him greatly, as it was exactly what he was looking for.

Skill: Blessing Of Healing

Rank: A

Description: Use the light element to heal yourself, or a target.

All of a sudden, his surroundings went dark. A mist began to gather all around him, blocking his line of sight.

"What is it with the beings in this dimension coming out of mist... They need some originality in their lives. Didn't even let me check the skill out properly..." He muttered.

Activating his all-hearing eyes, he saw a horse trotting through the mist. An armoured man with a head in his right hand.

"Oh damn, he's headless. It's pretty damn badass to carry your own head around. I like it!"

With his new ability, a simple mist couldn't block him. He could even inspect people from afar now, such as beings that aren't visible without the skill.

Name: Lisandril Insyd

Cultivation: ??

Species: Dullahan (Faerie)

(A/N: I promise this will be the last mythological creature that I will forcefully bring out from the dredges. We have had 3 different ones in a matter of chapter :o )

His eyes widened. The question marks indicated that the being in front of him was way out of his league. Just like the fiendgod from before, this dullahan was a transcendent at the minimum. The worst part was that this one wasn't chained up and was moving freely.

Raikou slowly turned around to make a break for it.

"Stop!" A steely voice sounded out with authority.

The voice had a power behind it that made him stop in his tracks, as told.

"I can sense him on you. You spoke to him, didn't you?" His question didn't seem like one that Raikou could refuse to answer.

"Who?"

"The fiendgod!"

Raikou nodded. He thought he was going to die, but he wasn't willing. In his mind, there were ideas flying about on how to overcome this situation.

The Dullahan appeared from the mist. The face was twisted into an eerie smile. It reminded Raikou of 'A', the being he met up there.

(A/N: I'm going to call the clown guy from the start 'A', so that it is easy to refer to him.)

The face suddenly warped into a stern expression. "That was close..." The Dullahan whispered softly, but Raikou heard him nonetheless.

"Come with me, we must talk." Raikou followed along, as he didn't want to see what would happen if he refused.

As they walked, the branches of all the trees moved, as if to accommodate their presence.

The path led to a huge stone building that materialised out of nowhere when they approached. It was a surreal experience for Raikou, as he hadn't been in the presence of such mystifying power before. The fiendgod was bound, so he couldn't see what its power was like, so this was something that amazed Raikou at every step.

In the building were two apparations stood casually, as if awaiting his arrival.

Lisandril stopped and turned around. The expression on the face was warmer than before. "Never before have we encountered someone like you. We have been watching you. At such a low cultivation level, you are able to kill beings of cultivations higher than yourself."

The feeling of fear subsided upon hearing those words. It seems that they were interested in his badassery.

"We wouldn't have taken the initiative if we didn't see your act in that cave. Someone with a good moral compass is more trustworthy, so I decided to approach you after." Lisandril explained.

Raikou was confused. They were being awfully direct and the Dullahan's personality changed 3 times already.

"Is he suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder?"

It was quite the worry.

"He may be crazy, but he can whoop your ass with easy." Dosho replied.

Raikou glared at him and put his attention back on the three strangers.

He inspected the two apparitions.

Name: Mythril Escario

Cultivation: ??

Species: Sluagh (Faerie)

She was a woman dressed in all red, with long black wavy hair. Her skin was extremely pale and her eyes were devoid of any colour, but black. She was beautifully frightening

Name: Faustus

Cultivation: ??

Species: Skerrit (Faeire)

Faustus would have been the most peculiar in appearance, if it wasn't for Lisandril holding his own head in his hands. His appearance was that of the centaurs from legends, but with a more mighty presence. His horns curled and twisted above his head and his beard was braided and long enough to touch the floor.

They were all faeries of different types. It was quite the sight to behold.

(A/N: Before anyone complains, I am only deriving certain parts from mythology. It is not completely accurate.)

"It seems I underestimated the strength of the residents of Epsilon. I assumed they wouldn't surpass rank 7. That was pretty stupid thinking..." He thought.

"What do you want from me then?"

"In time... In time..." Mythril replied.

"For now, all you need to know is that there are forces at work. Seeking to destroy Epsilon and we can not interfere." Faustus mysteriously said.

"Isn't this too much responsibility to put on my little head?" He didn't like the direction they were going in.

They all began laughing. "Of course we don't think you can do it. We want you to find the one that can help us." Lisandril handed him a compass. "This will point you in the direction of the one and will glow in their presence."

Raikou felt insulted by their laugh. On two different occassions, he was instructed to find someone.

"What's in it for me?" The fiendgod gave him blood, so what would these three give.

"Nothing. It is for the good of the world. Now, I will be sending you out of this dimension, so go and do the task." Lisandril waved his hand and Raikou could feel his body being forced out of the dimension.
