69 Is That Me?

Raikou cleaned out the spatial rings of all the cultivators, but they were surprisingly poor for their cultivations. It was probably why they got so excited over the prospect of that heavenly treasure. None of them were outstanding for their levels whatsoever, otherwise he would have had a harder time of killing them all.

Nevertheless, their wealth was still at a level that he had never come across before. Every one of them carried an earthly ranked armament and their rings had thousands of gold in them.

He sorted through everything and found 4 armaments worth keeping, while the rest were to be fed to Bishouken.

Another spatial pendant had popped up, but it was of a higher rank and had 3 charges left on it to teleport somewhere. 1 had been used already, but Raikou gave it to Ghost and he changed it for the one on his neck already. If he hadn't killed the owner instantly, he probably would've been able to escape.

The other 3 armaments caught his eye, because they fulfilled the need he had at the moment. He was still standing in just his underwear and a sword at his side at the moment.

The first two were completely black in colour and made him look like an assassin with a leather fetish. He cut his hair back to the previous style, as long hair was uncomfortable and inconvenient to have.

"How do all these novel guys have long hair and run around without getting annoyed?" Raikou really didn't understand the allure of having hair that long.

The last item was essentially useless, but it would help him avoid situations where he would be covered in blood like what had just happened. Ghost wouldn't have to melt ice walls over him to clean him now.

Looking at his reflection, he was impressed. Short hair and black clothes made him look like a matrix character, but without the flappy coat. He put the pendant around his neck, which was silver and contrasted the set quite well.

"Ghost, before I feed the rest of the armaments to the sword, do you want anything?"

He shook his head, "I'm still adjusting to being a humanoid and you want me to add armaments like those to the mix? Kiss my ass." It seems he wasn't completely up to terms with his current condition yet.

Raikou laughed and put his hands up in surrender.

"Let's go then. We need to collect Sawcon's head for the quest reward and then we can leave."

He retrieved the head and they left the city.

The group of people he freed were still frozen in the same place. The shock hadn't worn off from what they had seen and they only moved once the two left.

While they were travelling back to the city, they were the recipients of many stares. People looked at them weirdly for the whole journey. Raikou ignored it until he got into the city and heard whispers.

People were whispering about a man. Some said he wasn't even a man, but a demon. A powerful entity with limitless power.

They called him the 'Black Armed Asura'

"Wait... Is that me? Are they talking about me?" The stares were finally beginning to make sense. The ego that had already manifested to a high level, suddenly got higher.

Raikou looked at Ghost and smirked, "How lucky are you? To be the companion of the mighty Black Armed Asura is your good fortune. The onyx hilt of my sword is the only thing the people see as I go place to place and display my might!" He began laughing maniacally.

Upon seeing his behaviour, many of the people that thought he was the man from the stories, instantly changed their minds.

Ghost rolled his eyes at his speech, "Yeah... No one will even believe that it is you. Look around!"

He looked around and his previous expression turned into one of dismay. His speech made the crowds disillusioned.

They walked towards the adventurer guild and went to the desk.

"I am here to retrieve the rewards for these three missions." Placing the quest sheet and some of the evidence on the desk, he waited for the receptionists response.

The receptionist looked at the quests and then at his face. He repeated that action atleast then times before speaking. "You're... You're the one? You killed the bandit group? Are you the one from the stories?" He whispered the last part.

Raikou smiled, "Yes, I'm cool am I not?"

The receptionist nodded vigorously and replied, "Come to the back, so you can show us all the evidence and we can process your reward." They was a look of reverence in his eyes, as he began acting more respectful than the first time they had met.

They processed everything and he collected the rewards. He was about to leave and inspect his new items, when the receptionist stopped him.

"Sir, the guildmaster would like to meet you. You came at an opportune time, as the master isn't always here." He directed him to a room in the back.

The door creaked open and Raikou stepped inside.
