86 Feeling Like A Toddler

His legs wobbled with every step he took. It was quite difficult walking on all fours, which made him look like a newly born foal with his shaky steps.

Walking around for a while, he finally got the hang of his new body. The toddler sensation was slowly leaving him.

"Ok. I need to make some more changes to myself." He thought. "Maybe I should name myself, Riger."

It was pretty simple, mixing his own name, Raikou, and, the species he was using, tiger, to use as a false identity. As always, his naming sense wasn't the greatest, but it was sufficient.

Using mimicry, he also controlled his energy to be displayed at the peak of the Elder rank. This would put him in the upper middle tier of the Buer Kingdom and would prevent him from standing out too much, unless he wanted to. His actual cultivation was much lower, but his energy reserves were similar to that of a lower levelled saint, so manipulating the readings wasn't too difficult.

(A/N: Energy cloak is being taken out of skill list, because mimicry fulfills the need previously filled by it.)

Ghost and the others weren't too far away, so he quickly made his way towards them.

Pieces of dirt from the ground kept getting stuck in his fur while he walked, which made him continuously stop to shake it out. Raikou didn't understand how the beasts could live like this, it was extremely inconvenient.

"Hey, guys, it's me." His voice came out smoothly, with the baritone of his voice resounding through the air. It was a far cry from his normal voice, which was nowhere near as deep.

The group looked at him with astonishment. Ghost was the first to break the silence with his laughter. "Oh... my... god." He struggled to get the words out between each breath. "A tiger? Seriously? You should've picked a mighty wolf to transform into."

"Are we just going to gloss over the fact that he transformed into a different species altogether?" Satella asked.

Ghost shrugged his shoulders. He had grown accustomed to Raikou's neverending peculiar actions, so this did not faze him that much. Malakas behaved as if it was something ordinary that you would see on a day to day basis.

"It is a bit difficult for me to move around in this form, but I can make it work."

"Why didn't you just transform into an elf." Satella asked. "I mean, if you can transform into other species, why not go for a humanoid one?"

"Maybe I like tigers." Raikou casually replied, but inwardly, he was screaming. While thinking of species to change into, the flame tiger was the first thing that popped into his mind. An elf would've been a better choice, as although Satella was discriminated against, it wasn't as bad as it was for a human. It was a highly plausible choice, but he couldn't make a fool out of himself twice, so he decided to remain in this form for now.

"First order of action! We must find some information on his family." Raikou shouted while looking at Shimba. The shout that left his mouth was mixed with a roar. It drew the attention of many beasts that looked his way, but then continued walking on without a care in the world. Beasts were usually more prideful and aloof compared to humans, and wouldn't stick their noses into the business of others easily.

"So far, we know that his family must be influential, as lions and tigers are part of the upper echelon in this kingdom." Satella said. "We should look around without alerting anyone."

Raikou had an idea.

"I can transform into something extremely small and infiltrate the royal family."

"No!" Satella instantly shut him down. "Didn't you hear Qwing? The Buer royal family have transcendents in their midst. What if you get caught?"

"Don't worry. I won't get caught." In the past, this would've been a cause for concern for him too, but he had acquired 3 new skills when his race changed to Numen. His mimicry ability couldn't be detected by anyone.

He went into an alley and they followed. His body slowly shrunk until it was nearly impossible to see with the naked eye.

A parasitic being with a size of around 200 nanometres.

Ghost and Malakas were still able to detect him, due to their connection. They smiled after seeing how small he had gotten.

"I don't think my voice can be heard by you guys even if I try..." Raikou transmitted his thoughts into Ghost's head. "I thought I would become slower, but my stats aren't affected by my transformations."

It was obvious in which direction he had to go, as the castle, just like all he had seen so far, was towering above any other building in the kingdom.

His tiny legs sped towards the castle.

Reaching it, he crawled through the small gaps in the gate and looked around.

A huge courtyard was the first thing he saw, but it was shockingly empty.

Not a lion in sight.

He entered through the second gate past the courtyard and was finally able to see another living being in the castle. A huge lion was perched upon a huge armchair, casually drinking from a cup. It was a peculiar sight, as it emulated the human nobles in Idril.

Name: Shcar

Species: Sublimis Leo

Cultivation: Rank 6 9th Level

His name started with a -sh, similar to Shimba's. Raikou wasn't sure if it was a coincidence or if it was a family related naming style.

Shcar looked silly, sitting on his own and behaving with lone majesty. Raikou decided to come back to him after exploring the rest of the castle. This lion had a glint in its eyes that he did not like.
