85 Buer Kingdom

It was in sight. They had flown for hours before the kingdom finally came into view.

During their flight, they had seen many interesting sights. A turtle with wings was the most outstanding thing Raikou had witnessed on the way. After seeing that, he knew this journey would be his most exciting one yet.

The kingdom was less than half the size of Albion Kingdom's whole territory. It was fortunate that on average, each individual beast outclassed a human at the same level, otherwise the battle for supremacy would have already been won by the humans.

Each wall was around 100 metres in height and was made completely out of stone. The crevices allowed for hundreds of vines to pierce through and encase it.

A strong jungle vibe emanated from the territory.

"This feels like home." Malakas and Ghost both had an expression of yearning when looking down at the surface. The sensation they felt was similar to someone finally coming home after being homesick. Even Shimba had tears welling up in his eyes.

"Have your soppy moment later. Dive down with power!" Raikou was aching with anticipation. He was looking forward to seeing beasts everywhere. So far, he had only interacted with a small amount of beasts and was usually in the company of humans or elves.

Shimba was also on his mind, as he wanted to find his family for him as soon as possible. He could see the sorrow that the cub was trying to hide behind those smiles, which brought back memories of his own life. It was similar in ways that they both had no home, but atleast one of them could make their way back, so he made it a personal mission of his to take him back to his family.

Malakas flew downwards and they hopped off his back.

He reluctantly placed the transformation mask on his face and gradually warped into a much smaller form.

"I feel puny again." Mumbling to himself, his tiny feet pattered as he kept his pace up with the rest.

Raikou was amazed by the greenery surrounding the walls. Its beauty exceeded that of the Odelschwanck territory's aesthetic. The plants had a savage aura to them, which contrasted the gentle aura emanating from those in the continent of the Ancients.

"This may be a more troublesome experience than you expect. Humans in a beast territory aren't exactly treated well." Dosho was warning him to lower his expectations of what he may encounter upon entry.

They came up to the towering walls of the Buer Kingdom and circled it until they found the entrance. A huge wooden gate was being guarded by two Elder level beasts. One was a bison and the other seemed to be a giant otter.

"A peculiar option to have guarding your gates." Raikou thought as he wondered whether the royals even cared about the protection of the kingdom. It was as if they were so arrogant that there was no way that anyone would try to attack. It did make some sense, as their group held the largest number of transcendents on the continent.

It wasn't as if two guards would impact anything anyway.

With the size of the territory, there was probably other entrances that had similar guards. Raikou was curious to see all the different types of beasts he would encounter here.

"Kind otter, will you grant me passage into your walls." Malakas was in charge of speaking, as he had been here before.

They had put a transformation mask on Shimba and transformed him into a tiger-related species to avoid any troubles. Raikou had no need for it after acquiring the mimicry ability.

The otter looked at all of them and sneered, "You three can come in, but the elf and human have to stay out here."

Ghost's expression darkened as he grab the otter. "You wanna say that again?" His expression caused the otter to cower in fear. His current prowess rivalled that of an early Saint cultivator, so these two guards were nothing in front of him.

"You can't use brute force to enter. Incurring the wrath of the Buers would lead to a terrible outcome for all, so I suggest you unhand my colleague." Unlike the otter, the bison was able to maintain his haughty attitude and advised them against their actions.

Ghost loosened his grip and moved back into the group.

"We can let the elf in, but there is no negotiating on the entry of the human, so he has to leave." The otter shook the sweat off his fur.

Ghost was about to pounce forward again, but Raikou stopped him. "Don't worry, you lot go in and I will return."

Satella looked at him questioningly.

He winked at them and walked off.

Transmitting his voice into Ghost's head, he explained, "I have a plan, so you guys go ahead and I will be in soon."

Mimicry.

He was going to use it to become a beast himself.

He dropped to the ground in pain as his spine cracked in several places. The structure of his face was changing and hair began to grow from his face at an abnormal speed.

Looking at his reflection, he was pleased with the results. A flame tiger was looking back at him through the water. The first rank 4 beast he killed was used as inspiration for his new look.

"Going from one species to another is way more painful than I thought it would be." He thought while walking back to the gate.

The bison saw him and opened the gates.

"The security is really lax for beasts... These guys must really be confident of their strength."
