"Now then, let's go complete the first new quest set for me!"

He walked towards the library and tried to open the doors. The guard at the door stopped him and asked him for his white card.

Raikou showed him and the guard frowned "Only 3 stripes and above students can enter the library at such late hours. Come back tomorrow during the day for entry."

"What kind of shitty rule is that? That doesn't even make any fucking sense!" Raikou even felt like beating him up before seeing that his cultivation was at the higher stages of rank 3.

"Watch your tone boy! I don't set these rules, I just enforce them." The guard glared at Raikou as he responded.

Raikou decided to adhere to the rules for now and come back in the morning before he heard a Ding!

Bonus objective: Sneak into the library right now.

Reward: Random B rank skill.

"Fuck! That is a good reward, I can't pass that up. Now... How do I get past that guard." He began thinking about ways to enter.

He ran back to his room and called Ghost out.

"I need you to distract someone for me. It's a guard at the higher levels of rank 3. Just get his attention and run away using wind walker."

"What do I get out of this?"

"What do you mean. Bitch, do what I ask of you!"

Ghost sat down and waited for a proper offer from Raikou. Raikou didn't want to give in and they both stared each down for an hour.

'FINE! I give up. If you do it, I will find you a female wolf to let out your frustrations on."

Ghost laughed in satisfaction and followed Raikou. They reached the library and Raikou pointed at the guard "That's the one, now go."

Ghost went up to the guard and bit his trouser leg, the guard tried grabbing him, but he was too fast. It helps that Ghost is stronger and faster than his cultivation states.

Raikou used this opportunity to enter the library. He laughed triumphantly and approached the librarian. "Where can I find the books on important basic knowledge such as spirit artifacts, beasts, elves etc?"

The librarian rolled his eyes and pointed to 3 bookshelves labelled artifacts, beasts and the ancients.

Raikou laughed sheepishly at his stupidity. "Seems there was no need for directions to such obvious bookshelves."

He first went to the artifacts section and picked up a book labelled "The World of Artifacts"

"Great naming sense..." He commented. "Quick reading montage of all the bookshelves inbound!"

(A/N: I'm going to summarise all the information he gathers instead of making a whole thing out of it.)

2 hours later...

Quest completed!

"Good skill!" He remarked. "I can show this to Ghost, this will make his face go green in envy."

The knowledge he had acquired from the library was extremely useful towards his advancement in this world. There were many things that he learned that filled up any gaps he had previously.

To begin with. The classification of artifacts goes from Mortal, Spiritual, Earthly, Heavenly and Divine. Each stage is further separated into 9 levels.

Divine artifacts have not appeared on Epsilon in a very long time. With Heavenly artifacts currently being the highest possible to acquire, they can cause wars just from their appearance. A small place like Birminfram would be lucky to even have a 1st level Earthly artifact, with even that being a stretch.

There is also a mastery classification for weapons consisting of the apprentice level, master level, grandmaster level, saint level, transcendent and godly. Each stage is separated into low, mid, high and perfect level.

The knowledge he acquired on beasts was mainly things that he had already inferred. Beasts usually have 10x the lifespan of a human at the same cultivation, however this is balanced out by their cultivation speed being slower than that of humans.

What had surprised him was that the Ferus continent wasn't separated into kingdoms like Idril, rather having the Royal family ruling directly over the whole continent. This was done as beasts strongly believe in bloodlines and would never let weaker bloodlines rule a kingdom, even if it was one under the rule of the royal family itself.

The knowledge on the continent of the Ancients was very limited. It only detailed the different species it is habitated by; being the elves, faeries, pixies and spirits.

Raikou was satisfied with the information he had acquired today, but was slightly disappointed with the lack of information on the ancients. Satella was still on his mind and he wanted to know more about the place she comes from.

He cleared his mind and walked towards the exit of the library. He used his connection to Ghost to see that he was still on the move, making it safe for him to leave the library at this very moment.

Raikou walked towards the direction Ghost was in and called out to him to return.

"I'll shake him off and return to the dorm in a bit. I'm having alot of fun right now, I feel like I may even breakthrough in my movement skill." Ghost replied with joy.

Raikou smiled and returned to his dorm. All in all, he felt like today was extremely productive and was very pleased with the results of his 'hardwork'

He was shaken out of his thoughts by the sound of Ghost returning.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" He looked to see Ghost completely covered in mud, as he tracked his dirty footprints across the floor of his dorm room.

He looked at Ghost and slapped him to the bathroom. "Motherfucker, next time clean up before you come in!"

"Fuck off! I'm only dirty, because of what you made me do. Now shut the fuck up and let me have a nice shower." Ghost retorted smugly.

Raikou gave up and slumped back onto his bed for a good night of sleep.
