Images started to flash by his eyes, the two images contained a girl and boy. Images he was very unfamiliar with but he somehow felt a mysterious connection between the girl and guy duo in the videos.
This must be Cruden and Valencia's past. He thought.
He saw a struggling boy working hard and sometimes he would be being or starved. In the other image, he saw a girl being unjustly picked on, shamed, and ostracised by her peers and family. he saw and experienced their pain and hopelessness.

after a while, the feeling disappeared like it was never there. Just as they were staring in awe and trying to understand what happened earlier. they saw specks of light appear out of nowhere and seeped into their bodies. Each light that touched them set of major reactions in their bodies.
At first, all they could perceive were darkness but now they could actually feel their lord's existence. they could also feel the connection between them and void. It was so indescribable. just wholesome and powerful. it was still frightening but they were as afraid.
Void could see the two lights representing their souls become dazzling after the lights that escaped his body enter theirs. it was the effect of the blessings taking place. He thought it would be the perfect time to pitch what he wanted. He proceeded in an unwavering voice.
"This is my blessing and the first reward for accepting my mark. We are now connected."
he wasn't sure if it was on purpose but as soon as he finished that stated a boom resounded

"Valencia I give you my light. Go forth and burn brighter than ever. From this day forth you are my Holy Maiden"

"Cruden, I give you my darkness. Go forth and wreak havoc on our enemies. From this day forth you are the reaper"

"Currently you're both too weak but with my help, you can become stronger. In order to repay me. You have to become stronger. As you are now, you are no help"
They could not only hear but also feel the disappointment. They did not know what was taking place in their bodies but they knew it was good.
Even though they were being overcome by the changes in their souls. They could still clearly hear what was being said.
They both thought they were dreaming. The feelings they were experiencing were amazing. They knew they did the right choice by offering up their service and fealty.
Everything happened so fast.

They were both surprised as well. Before they could ask their lord anything he was sent back. Cruden opened his eyes and he was back in his cell.
He was about to think it was a dream until words start to flash before his eyes.

It took a second for him to come to his senses but he knew this was his chance. he looked over his system and made a few assumptions based on the information presented.
"Darkness? My lord has gifted me his darkness. but why didn't he tell us how to use our powers. He seemed very impatient. "Is this a test to see if we are worthy? when is the next summoning? and who was that other light?"
He had many questions but none that can be answered right now. he had to wait for the next summoning. To his surprise every breath, he took he felt strange energy entering his body. it was intoxicating. He knew he was getting stronger. This was a novel feeling. His cells were excited.
It must be due to my current predicament. He was currently locked up in a cell surrounded by wicked and vile people who gave commuted tons of heinous acts. He immediately caught on, he must be absorbing the wickedness of his cellmates.
Boom. out of nowhere inside his body, a small bomb went off. lights flashed in the panel before him. he immediately knew what occurred. He had leveled up.

It took a moment but she gathered herself. She knows what to do. This was a blessing from her lord and she not going to waste it. She has to get stronger. No one had ever depended on her before and she was not about to let the first person down who did. then Her mind then ran on the strange light that's as beside her.

before she never had any friends or other people to depend on but now she had her lord and strange boy Cruden. she couldn't wait to see them again. Even though she was weak and useless. That was no more and she had another chance at life.
She thought long on hard on what to do and who to help. She immediately rushed out and headed to town.
Even though she was the 5th princess of a dynasty. No one really showed her respect. They all smiled in her face but she knew they were all being fake. When her mother was alive. It wasn't so lonely.
