1 Happy Birthday

A discordant cacophony has arose among the major countries. The last nuclear warfare has caused an exiguity in natural resources. Thing that were once copious are now limited, skies are covered with ashes, the atmosphere feels heavy as if blood had vaporized, the soil is more fertile than ever enriched with the hubris of men. And the oceans? They are no longer found. The 7 continents are no longer separated, they have merged together into one with the toxic radiation of the so called 'Humanity' that flooded the whole world in 2021. And now when the whole world is about to end I along with my 11 years old daughter am sitting on the couch celebrating our birthday watching 'Harry Potter' for the 117th time. Yes, we have our birthdays on the same day. I have turned 40 and she 11. She's the most precious gift of my life. We named her ALYLAH. Whenever she touches me, I feel like all of my pain drains away. Our neighbors used to say that too. Her touch gave them happiness and relief. Oh, I forgot to tell one thing. My name is ALYSTER and my wife's name is JULIAH. She's no more. She left this hell named 'World' when ALYLAH was born. Julia used to write letters to ALYLAH even before she was born. She wrote 11 letters in total. I gave ALYLAH one of those letters every year on her birthday. I gave her the last letter of her mother today. I was kind of worried about what would I give her on her next birthday. But no worries I'm gonna manage something by then. She was more than happy when she got that. She jumped into my arms and told, "I love you daddy", "I love you too, my littlest Nutella." "I love you more", "No, I do more". All on a sudden a stranger knocked at our door. Actually, I was kind of terrified because everybody in our neighborhood left 6 days ago as the President of Israel declared to launch an air strike on 10th November in Portsmouth and it's where we live. I opened the door. The stranger fell into my arms, she was bleeding her heart out. She told, "Where is ALYLAH? I need to see her now." I blacked out completely. I mean how the fuck did she know her name. I asked, "Who are you? How do you know her?" "I don't have much time left. She's the only one who can save this world from extinction". I couldn't think of anything, I asked her, "Who are you?" "She needs to go to Israel. She's the only one who can save us. Please see this letter. It's from Jul...…." (She fainted). "ALYLAH (I shouted), come here and hold her head, let me fetch some water". As soon as ALYLAH touched her head she came back to her senses. The stranger touched her cheek hopefully, looked at ALYLAH smiling and said, "You are the one. You are able to take away people's pain. You are going to save the world from the wrath of Israel." She died smiling. I was numb then. ALYLAH came running and hugged me. "I'm scared daddy. Who was she?" "She was an Old friend of ours". I lied my ass off that day to her. Then I put ALYLAH to sleep. I wasn't able to think anything. Then I took the letter she gave me. "What was her name? Ahhhh(grunting), she told me something like Jul or what. She told us to go to Israel. Why would we go to Israel? And who the heck was she?"
