1 Chapter 1-eyes on me

Have you ever asked questions to yourself, only wishing you had the answer to? I do that a lot, what's my purpose in life, will I find true love, etc... and this is the story of how my questions got answered.

"Why not Athena?" Bell asked me. We were currently sitting on my bed talking about a party that was suppose to be a big thing. "You know parties aren't my scene, besides you can go with Serena if you really wanted to." I had only two friends Bell and Serena, although I didn't have a lot of friends they were my best friend and I could rely on them. "No Serena can't go cause she got grounded remember" I giggled "when had that ever stopped her?" "Your right" Bell said " I'll get her to come too" I sighed knowing she was not going to give up on me going to the party. I mumbled under my breath, alright. She looked up from her phone with a smile, "what was that can you repeat it for me" I gave her a death glare and she laughed. I will be here tomorrow at 8 with Serena so we can go to the mall. Okie I gave her a wink as she left my room.

It's not that I don't like parties, cause I can be out going and sassy a lot of the time but the problem is I live in a world full supernatural beings, from vampire to pixie. I have always been careful every since I was young. My past was dark and full of unanswered questions. My parents were slaughtered by a supernatural being when I was eight and ever since then I have been cautious of my surroundings. Although I don't hold a grudge because I know some supernatural beings are good and just trying to live there life so who am I to hate them for someone else's crime.

For the rest of the night I watched Netflix and then went to bed only to be woken by two figures. I opened my eyes jumping back, when I realized it was Bell and Serena I relaxed a bit. Ready, Bell asked. I looked down and then looked at her. Pulling me out of bed she threw volleyball shorts and a XL black t-shirt on the bed with a huff logo on the front. Half asleep I put them on zoning out of the conversation. I put on my glasses and put my hair in a messy bun. Grabbing my car keys and my phone in the other hand I walked out of the room being followed by Bell and Serena while listening to the conversation. We got to the kitchen and my dads were there cooking breakfast and flirting.

I coughed grabbing there attention and they turned to me smiling. Good morning darling, Bell, Serena my dad said. Good morning we said in sink causing us to give a little giggle. We sat down having breakfast as I started to wake up more and joke with my family. When we finished breakfast we started walking to the garage. So Serena are we picking up Gab? Serena was a werewolf and her mate is Gab. She shook her head, she will meet us at the party she said. I smiled and nodded as I got into the front seat. I had a Jeep that me and Serena made a three seat front so we all could sit, and Bell painted the car with a aesthetic look of animals and vibrant colors.

We got to the mall and I looked down realizing just how bad my outfit looked, the t-shirt covered my volleyball shorts going a little higher than mid calf and my old scuffed up pumas made it look like in was a vsco girl. I look at Bell and said never again are you picking my outfit out. She winked at me and linked arms with me and Serena as we walked into the mall.

We first went to Starbucks and then we went to barns and nobles to get some books. Next Bell wanted to go to pink so we headed off that way. We were talking and laughing about random stuff when I felt a strong shoulder bump into me making me stumble backwards and land on my butt. Watch we're your goi- I heard a masculine voice full of power pause mid sentence. I looked up and saw a muscular built guy I was about to get up when he extended his hand out for me to take. I gave a faint smiled and went to take his hand but the moment I touched his hand I felt a shock and tingle feel so I pulled my hand back in confusion. He looked at his hand and he looked at me a face full of confusion but for a quick second I saw a glimpse of hope but was soon covered when we heard a cough noise. I looked to see my friends amused. I got up quickly wiping my long blonde fly always out of my face and gave them a non amused look. I turned back to the muscular man. He behind him was three other guys also built but not as good as him. I gave him a small apologetic smile avoiding eye contact, sorry I didn't mean to bump into you I said. He nodded, are you okay, although he with barely any emotion showing. I looked into his hazel colored eyes with a hint of red in them. I paused for a second more before giving the rest of the guys faint smiles and walking away with Bell and Serena. Feeling the mans eyes on me the whole entire time.
