5 The storm

The storm started two days ago and still no signs of anyone coming to attack, and I could here whispers of Cedrics thoughts. I heard them the night the storm started and had to sit down. I had cried tears of joy when I first heard his thoughts of hello, I rushed him with thoughts, making his head spin but I heard him laugh. We sent whispering thoughts to each rushing information to each other. I told him I had kept the princesses rooms warded and I did not wish to see them hurt for they were innocent children, and had nothing to do with the forest anger, Cedric agreed with me and told me they would try to make it quick and only take out the king, but if someone got in the way they would be taken out. I told him I'd keep the princesses in their room and that's where I would be during their attack, he only said okay, and then his thoughts were not to me anymore. I was saddened that they weren't but I understood there were bigger problems for us to face.

On night three of the storm I finally saw a glint of an attack and I ran to the little princesses room letting magic fly of me. I reached their room and they were having a late night tea party,

"I thought you might want something magic for your late night tea parties," I said as I locked the door behind me.

They looked at me in awe and then excitedly said yes repeatedly until I started using my magic to make the cups and dishes float and music appeared from no where, all so they couldn't hear the screams of men's deaths and the clanging of swords. I stayed awake the whole night, listening to Cedrics thoughts to noises in the hall to the music I kept playing even though the girls slept, Cedrics thoughts never stopped only went to moments of pain and that alone was a blessing to me.

When morning came the storm still raged on but I still heard the flick of the lock being turned, I knew magic was being used to unlock the door, I saw it's sparkle around the door. The door opened without a sound and standing in it was Cedric, I immediately launched myself at him and he caught me in his arms and spun me around, we kept hugging and I cried because I had missed him so much, but soon I let him go and checked him for injuries.
