I wasn't listening to a thing the elder was saying, but what do you expect I was a child and they were trying to teach me magic, every word sounded silly or hard to pronounce, and my best friend was making silly faces at me. my best friend and I were born on the same day, on a full moon, and from then on people say we were meant to be together, we don't understand why but it's said so. The elder finally noticed I wasn't paying attention and called my name told me to cast a simple light spell, which I did with ease with my best friend holding my hand, the elder was amazed maybe even astonished, she cancelled class right there and then. later that day I remember her talking to both our parents they seemed happy yet sad.

years passed and me and my best friend grew up, staying by each others side but when we were ten our village was attacked while I was in the garden and he my best friend was out practicing magic with the elder, he was told to run and I was captured by those that attacked our village.
