Kai's POV

When the sun rose on the East, I recieved a letter from Nana carried by her pigeon courier. I took the letter from the pigeon's leg and started to read it silently.

'Kai,

Hey honey please meet me at the cherry blossom tree. The tree where we have our first date. I have something to tell you. Please ready yourself, I might hurt you. I love you, honey~

I feel chill run down onto my spine.

'She might hurt me? What does she mean by that? Does that mean she will leave me for another man? Or she will be leaving to this nation and I won't see her ever again? Or what if she wants to break up with me because I am a boring and poor guy? What if----'

"Hey Kai!! Eat your breakfast now!" My thoughts were interrupted when Mom called me for breakfast.

While eating breakfast, I started to think again.

'Okay I'll go and meet Nana at the cherry blossom tree even if she will hurt my feelings.'

As soon as I finish my breakfast. I went to bathroom and did my business over there.

'I am now ready.'

Nana's POV

I already sent a letter to Kai through my pigeon courier, but I don't know how to tell Kai about this. I am going to the battlefield now.

I nervously rub my hands together as I walk to the dining room to eat my breakfast.

'What if he will be hurt by this and will break up with me? What if---'

"Lady Nana please sit now. Stop standing and spacing out there. Eat your breakfast now." Hina told me.

"R-right! I will." I replied to my maid.

After eating our breakfast, Father and Big Brother Haji discussed the techniques I should use when I am at the battlefield.

"I'm sorry Father, Big Bro. I think I have to go now. I have an urgent business to do right now." I interrupted their discussion as I noticed it's now time for me to go.

"Okay just get back here after that." Father said.

"Okay!"

I hurriedly walk to the mountains after father allowed me to do my 'urgent business'.

~After Nana left~

"Father where do you think she will go?" Haji questioned his father.

"Probably to the mountainside." Their mother, Naomi replied entering the room.

"What is she going to do there?"

"I don't know. But it doesn't matter anymore. As long as she will be safe if she will come home later." Their father commented.

Kai's POV

I already reached the mountainside and searched for the cherry blossom tree where we have our first date. She isn't here yet but I'll just wait for her there.

I sit under the cherry blossom tree, it's fall right now so the flowers started to fall at the ground and some of them flew away by the gush of the wind. I stared at them blankly, I am nervous about what Nana will tell me.

'Even those flowers that people adore don't stay the same. But they still bloom during the spring time. Is this similar to how she feels towards me? If it is similar, then I look forward to the next season for her to come back at me.'

I continue to stare blankly at the flowers.

Suddenly, I felt someone hugged me behind my back.

Oh I wish I could stop the time and let this moment last longer.

I started to face her and hugged her back.

'If you ever leave me, I will miss this moment.....'

We stay like that for how many minutes, just enjoying the presence of each other.

I opened my mouth to speak.

"Hey darling, what do you want to tell me?"

She pulled away as soon as she heared my question. Sadness lingered in her eyes as her tears started to roll down to her cheeks.

I wiped those tears away using my fingers. I have the urge to cry right now too.

"I...." She started.

Nana's POV

"I..." I started. I don't how to tell him about it.

"Hey darling I am always here for you. Just tell me what do you want to tell." He said.

I wipe my remaining tears and got ready to tell him everything I want.

"You know how much I love to go to the battlefield right?"

"Right."

"If I will be not back for how many years, will you still love me?"

"I'll love you for eternity even if you won't love me back anymore."

"If I will die before you will, promise me to find the girl you like and like you back, and promise me to take care of yourself okay?"

"What? Then you are now--" He started as his expression changed, the sadness in his glassy cerulean eyes was conveyed into little drops of tears.

"Yes, I am now going to battlefield...."

Kai's POV

"Yes, I am now going to battlefield....." She replied.

Tears started to stream down to my cheeks. I know how hard her life would be if she will go to the battlefield.

All of the warriors out there aren't sure if they will make it alive until the battle ends.

Every single day, they have to survive to that bloody place.

What if she didn't make it until the end of the battle?

'Please just make it alive until the end.'

I wiped my tears. And started to close the gap between us.

We stay like that for a minute.

"Hey promise me to comeback safe here."

"I promise."

"If you ever comeback, please meet me here."

"Yes, I will."

"I'll be waiting for you then." I smiled sadly at her.

Nana's POV

"I'll be waiting for you then." He smiled sadly at me.

"Then please wait for me."

"Let's just spend our remaining time here." He suggested.

"Sure, we will." I replied as we lay down under the cherry blossom tree, watching the flowers to sway away.

He started to move closer to me and cuddle at me.

"Then when will you go to the battlefield?" He questioned.

"In the next three days."

"For real?"

"Yep."

He rolled me over, I am now on top of him. He continued to cuddle at me.

"I hope you'll come back safe at me. I will still wait for you even if it will take a thousand years." He said.

"Okay that one is a little cheesy." I chuckled.

"Yeah. I thought so." He started to chuckle too.

'I will miss this moment.' We both thought as we stay like that for hours.
