15 X Dynasty~Prince Ruka's Tragic Past

Prince Ruka's POV

After the meeting in the court, I excitedly pulled Hana's hands. I am going to introduce her to my playmate, Yuki.

Yuki is same age as me. She has beatiful pair of amber orbs, which I admired from the first day I met her. Her white long hair perfectly fits on her porcelain skin. She wears a very ordinary hakama. Though very simple clothes, she managed to make it elegant everytime she wear them. She is very kind in every creature she see, that's what I like about her.

She is also very intelligent. To be honest, the two of us always sneak to royal library when no one is watching us, just to read some books there.

She is my playmate since the day I got lost in the forests. Although she is a commoner girl, I keep on playing and meeting her secretly in the forest. She is living there together with her family. Everytime I want to meet her, I always go to this part of forest and her family will welcome me warmly.

"Hey Yuki! Guess what? We have a new playmate!" I excitedly shouted at her, making the birds fly away from us.

"Yeah prince, I can see it. Geez, you startled the birds young master." She said disappointed, watching the birds fly away from us.

Yuki noticed Hana on my back, so I didn't hesitate to introduce Hana to her.

"What?! Prince you are a friend of this commoner girl?!" Hana asked me disgusted, not believing that we are friends.

"Hey! What's wrong with that?! She is a very good person, she doesn't have a bad intensions on me. Truth to be told, she's the one who helped me finding my way back on the palace when I got lost!" I defended Yuki to Hana.

"Prince, stop defending me. You know, sometimes I question myself too on why am I friends with you. I am just a commoner girl...." Yuki trailed off behind my back.

I faced her. "Stop that, you know that you are a friend of mine regardless of life status." I hushed her with a reassuring tone.

Hana stomped off her foot angrily after hearing my bold statement, I guess she will go to Nana and will blabber again in front of her until noon.

The two of us burst out laughing with the scene in front of us.

"Hey Yuki. Thanks for saying that, or else Hana will stick to me all the time." I said as my laugh died down.

She calmed her self too before answering me. "No, I really meant it prince." She shake her head in disagreeing manner.

"Either you really meant it or not, I am still thankful to it. Thankful that you accept me as your friend,not as a prince and for saving me to Hana from sticking around me. Also call me Ruka, not prince...." I stopped.

Yuki looked at me in a questioning manner.I know that look, she has no idea why I told her that.

"Now, now. Don't look at me like that...." I stopped and ready myself. "Race you to your family house!!" I shouted to her as I ran fast, making the distance between us go farther.

"Hey that's cheating!" She retorted while running too.

The two of us have a happy life. She was contented with her playmate and I am happy that I can play around in this forest freely.....

TIMESKIP

(5 years later)

It's been 5 years since we met. Yuki has grown into a beautiful fine woman. We don't play anymore, but we often hang out and sneak to the library to read books.

Over the 5 years that we are together, I felt strange around her. Everytime we talk, my heart beats so fast. I feel blue when we don't talk or even meet. And also, it breaks my heart when I see her talking to other commoner guys.

I asked Haruto, my butler about the meaning of this and he told me it's the feeling of being in love. He also adviced me to confess to her before any guys would get her before me, which I will do later.

"Yuki!" I approached her in her seat and hug her, inhaling her scent.

"Ruka, I've been waiting for you." She said as she hug me back.

She pulled away. "So, where are we going? To the library? To the falls?"

"Let's go to the falls!" I beamed. 'Maybe I can ask her out there.'

We arrived at the falls, it's really beautiful....We sat down on a log, watching the fishes swim freely on the cool water of the falls.

"Hey Yuki." I said, getting the attention of the girl beside me.

"What is it? Do you have any problems?" She asked me worriedly.

"Yuki...I...." I got up from my seat and bowed down at her front. I could sense that she is surprised by my action.

"Yuki, ever since we hang out...I feel so complete. You fill the hole in my heart that my mother left me after she died. I love you to the moon and back. Will you do the honor by making me your man?" I finally asked her. Confidently raising my head up and reaching up my hand to her.

She smiled and bowed down to me. "I'll be on your care then." She replied, accepting my hand on hers.

"Really?!" I asked her, surprised. She just nodded.

I unconsciously pulled her into a sweet deep kiss. She was surprised by my action but nevertheless, she kissed back.

None of us noticed that someone was watching us in the dark.....

TIMESKIP

(1 year later)

"I told you to not go out at all and interact with a commoner!" Father banged at the door of my room angrily.

'First of all, how does father know that I am secretly meeting someone?'

I decided to open the door for him. Ohhh I see, Hana is with him.

"Your Highness, yes I am meeting a commoner. So what? I just want to see how do commoners survive despite of their life status. Is there something wrong with that, Your Highness?" I kneeled down before him.

He calmed down a bit hearing my reason. But later on, Hana whispered something to him, making my father furious.

He picked me up to the ground through my clothes. "How dare you date a commoner girl?!" He shouted at me.

"Listen here father. Although she is just a commoner girl, she is very intelligent. And of all people here in the court, that commoner girl, MY GIRL, is the only one who can understand me. Plus mother is just a comoner too before. Am I wrong?" I explained calmly, making sure that I emphasize Yuki as my girl.

I recieved a punch from my father. "Don't you dare to mention your mother's status here! We are not talking about her!"

"Hmp...You say she is intelligent?" My father asked me mockingly. "I bet Hana is more intelligent than her?" With that, Hana smirked at me and kneeled beside my father.

"Your Highness, since you mentioned my name. I guess Yuki and I can have a battle in intelligence by next month?" This sly girl is plotting something on Yuki in her mind.

"I guess that settles. Guards, find that girl and she will live here one month before the battle to ensure that she doesn't have sly intention in me or onto the prince." I heared father declare the battle between Hana and Yuki.

'So Yuki will live here before the battle? Yeah it is great opportunity for us, but what about her parents?!'

'What if they plan something evil on her?! I gotta warn her!'

I sneaked out to the palace through the window on my room, no one's guarding here since the royal guards are busy on finding Yuki.

There's no way that they will do that to her!

I ran fast as my legs can and make it to the forest fast.

"Hey where are you bringing our child?!" It's Yuki's father.

I look to where they are looking and I saw Yuki being dragged by royal guards.

"Hey what are you doing?!" I shouted at the guards.

"We're sorry prince, but this is your father's order. We must obey him." They said.

Yuki is gone....I am too late to warn her....I'm such a useless being.....

"Aunt, Uicle, I promise I will get Yuki back here!" I promised to her parents as I run again, trying to catch up with the carriage.

"We're counting on you prince. Please save our daughter!" Her father replied, dragging his crying wife inside their house.
