1 Prologue

"Breach" I heard a whispered voice say just before a small explosive went off and the door behind me fell to the ground as a horde of armed guys filled the room around me. They kept yelling for me to put my hands up and giving me warnings that I just ignored them, instead I just kept my eyes closed and listened to the surrounding area.

We were in a dark room possible underground due to the fact there were no windows, the ground and walls were all cracked up and from all the dust particles that came up when they knocked the door down it was probably abandoned. The mystery now was who these guys were and why they were in an abandoned place, I knew why I was there and it was because I had gotten careless moments ago. Wasn't the first time either.

"Put your guns down, this man has no way to fight off all of us barehanded." A female voice said to the guys as she walked into the room with them now.

I smiled and turned to face the woman However I kept my eyes closed which drew a bunch of questions from the guys around me.

"Are you blind?" The woman asked me and I just shook my head before I answered her.

"No, you see my eyes usually stand out in the night. Besides I can see just fine like this" the woman didn't seem to like my response because her features had hardened a bit writing me off as some kind of weirdo.

"This isn't the time for games. We picked up on weird readings in this area and we found you directly at its source so if you are not blind why don't you look me in the eye and tell me what are we doing here"

From her tone of voice that sounded like she was giving me an order, normally I would burst out into a laughing fit and then put the girl in her place but right now I was in a good mood.

"Don't know. But if it's all the same, places like this aren't my cup of tea"

One of the woman's men stepped closer to use the back of his gun to hit me in the head for giving a rude response instead of answering the question so in response I just stepped back so he'd miss.

When the guy tried again I just spun on the heels of my feet and ended up behind him getting a reasonable surprised look from everyone present since I still haven't opened my eyes.

"That's enough Mark's." The woman said and then put her attention back on me. "What's your name"

Finally, it was a question that was worth answering. I opened my eyes and in the reflection of the woman's glasses, I saw my bright orange eyes glowing inside them.

"It's Phase."
