Rogue POV

Pale skin, a loner, and sparkles in the sun is the image that the books of Twilight gave vampires. Truth is that vampires aren't like that. I know this beacuse I am a vampire, more specifically a rogue vampire. You see there are kingdoms that a vampire can belong to. Each kingdom which had it own heirs and rulers. I was a mere vampire that was living in the human world, well until they caught me. No one has ever heard about a living rogue vampire usually because they're dead. Somehow, I was the expection.

———————— Flashback ————————

I was caught on December 25; Christmas Day. Vampires have been previously tracking my whereabouts but I always managed to lose them. On Christmas Day, I was simply drinking at the bar of a club when a pale redhead approached me. She seemed drunk but something else told me otherwise. There was a middle aged human man seated next to me. The woman who only appeared 18 years old to me but whom I knew was older approached the man like a silent predator. I don't know what she did but the man started to follow after her. Something told me that I had to leave soon.

I quietly made it to the backdoor into a dark alley where I saw the woman and that man, only now I saw a vampire holding the guy by the neck sucking him dry. Her sneer seemed lethal. She noticed that I was standing there without panicking.

She realized then that I was only a vampire.

"You're a V too huh? I haven't seen you around before."

I knew better than to answer her. I simply needed to leave quickly.

"Better yet, I would say that you're a rogue. I haven't seen a living rogue. I wonder how much fun you would be."

The thing that happened was that another vampire showed up only this time she stopped the redhead from talking

"Janet, so this is where you went. I shouldn't except more from a measly low class vampire."

"Your highness, I was simply having a con-"

The so called highness now had the redhead's heart in her hands. She turned to face me.

"Look rogue, you never saw me. "

I couldn't help but notice that her eyes were purple with red. She was gone within a second.

I saw how there laid two dead bodies now and that I was still there. This could incriminate me.

I had to flee. However, that didn't go as planned.
