102 Trials Continue

Dro stood facing the statue right until its eyes completely dimmed down. When its eyes dimmed down the torches by the statue also extinguished. Dro looked at the statue one more time before departing from the room. Dro left the room and closed the doors behind him. He entered back the room that led to the other three rooms. He saw that the torches by the gargoyle were now lit.

Dro looked at the gargoyle from the side and thought, "Let's get that reward." Dro approached the state and stood facing it. When he stood before it, the eyes of the gargoyle lit up and it said, "Well done on completing the second trial. Are you ready to receive your reward? Are you ready to receive the ability that was used by the ancient one?"

Dro looking at the statue said, "I am ready to receive the ability."

"Very well," The gargoyle said and its eyes started flickering. After a few moments, a system notification sounded,

<Ability Learned, Supreme Sword and Spear Weapon Mastery (Passive), Increases Spear and Sword Weapon Damage and Critical Damage by 100% >

When Dro received the skill he thought, "It's pretty good."

The gargoyle statue looked at Dro and asked, "Are you ready to take on the third trial?"

Dro said, "I am ready."

After he spoke his words, Dro's surroundings once again changed. The gargoyle in front of him disappeared. The room in front of him twisted and changed. After his surroundings have changed Dro looked around and he frowned. The room that he was now in, was completely dark. He couldn't see anything or anyone no matter where he looked. The entire room was shrouded in darkness.

"Welcome to the third trial, challenger!" A sudden voice sounded, to Dro it seemed that the voice came from all of the sides of the room.

"Your trial is as follows, navigate through the darkness and find the exit. When the exit is found a trial will be completed." The voice disappeared after the words were spoken.

Dro frowned and thought, "How am I even supposed to navigate through the darkness?" Dro took a deep breath and thought, "Well I should at least start moving." Dro took a step forward and he proceeded to go in the forward direction. Dro didn't even walk five steps and he felt pain on his face. Dro frowned and thought, "Was this a wall?" Dro extended his hand and he felt a hard object in front of him. Dro frowned and thought, "So this is a maze? I have to complete the maze in darkness?"

Dro smirked and thought, "If it's a normal maze I can just find the exit by following a wall. Let's try it." Dro put his hand on the wall and he walked along it. After forty breaths of time had passed. His hand had hit a doorknob. Dro smirked and thought, "I have done it." Dro pushed the door open and walked out to the room. Inside the room, he saw another statue. This statue was of a gargoyle and like the trials before it was illuminated by the two torches that were by the sides of the statue. Dro recognised this as the same gargoyle as he met in the last trial. The gargoyled looked with his glowing eyes at Dro and said, "Congratulations on passing the third trial. Are you ready to claim your reward?"

Dro nodded, "I am."

The gargoyle's eyes flickered and a system notification sounded,

<Stat Growth Increased By 10 Points>

When Dro received the reward he scratched his head and thought, "Stat growth is a really good reward. I wonder how big is my stat growth? Is it bigger than it was before I got reset to <Level 1>?" Dro shook his head and looked at the gargoyle statue as he decided not to think about it.

The gargoyle looked at Dro and asked, "Do you wish to take on the fourth trial?"

Dro asked, "No one has passed this trial right?"

Gargoyle replied, "That is correct."

Dro looked at the statue and asked, "I have only one chance to do the trial?"

Gargoyle replied once again, "That's correct you only have one opportunity."

Dro asked, "Can I choose not to take the trial and then come back at a later date to take the trial?"

The statue of the gargoyle replied, "No. Once you leave the trial grounds the trials will close off for a hundred thousand years and after that time has passed you won't be allowed to take on the trials. This is your only chance."

Dro sighed and then nodded his head. He looked at the gargoyle statue in front of him and said, "Alright. Take me to the trial grounds of the fourth trial."

The statue said, "Very well."

The surroundings of Dro changed once again and he was now in a well-lit room. The room was not made of stone as it was now a proper room, it looked similar to the rooms Dro saw in the castle of the Vampire Queen. The room had chandeliers paintings and windows. Through the windows, moonlight entered the room. In the middle of this room stood a single statue. But unlike the other statues, this statue did not have torches beside it.

When Dro cast his eyes on the statue of the man he recognised him. This was the same statue of the man that he saw when he first took the trial. This man held a spear with a dragon imprint.

Before Dro could insect the statue any more, the statue's eyes turned red and it with one swift motion jumped off the platform. The man made of stone turned his attention to Dro and an arrogant grin appeared on his face. He looked towards Dro and said, "So another one had managed to reach the fourth trial, interesting."

Dro looked towards this man and asked, "What is the fourth trial?"

The man smiled, "The trial is simple and straightforward. Survive one blow of mine and you will be considered as passed. But don't worry, even if you die you will still be able to return unscathed."
