112 Slaying The Dragon

After issuing a loud roar, The Green Dragon glared at Dro and charged at him. Dro looked towards the approaching beast and its health.

<Green Dragon, Level 35, BOSS>

<757,687/2,000,000 HP>

Dro smirked and thought, "You made a mistake, dragon. You should have ascended into the air. Time to pay for your mistake." The youth with his sword in hand activated a skill,

<Destructive Thrust>

<-653,643>

The Dragon issued a loud roar out of pain. It raised it's arm and slashed at the Vampire before him. The Dragon bellowed, "Die, Vampire!"

Dro didn't even dodge the attack. He knew that his blood shield could absorb one attack and he used it. The attack connected and no damage value flashed above Dro's head. Dro slashed down at the Dragon, he did not use any of his abilities. The attack was just a normal attack.

<210,333>

<Green Dragon, Slain>

<-100 Reputation Green Dragons>

<+100 Reputation ???? Dragons>

<3,000,000 XP (2X Bonus)

<Level Up>

<Level 25>

Dro looked at the corpse of the Green Dragon and thought, "The last time I looted this boss, I received two items. The first item allowed me to learn the Dragon language and the second item was the Dragon egg which was lost after I was reset to <Level 1>. I wonder what will receive now."

Dro approached the corpse and bent down to loot. A loot window appeared and Dro sighed.

<Rare, Green Dragon Gauntlets, Gloves, Plate, Unidentified, Required Level 35>

<Rare, Green Dragon Greaves, Boots, Plate, Unidentified, Required Level 35>

He was disappointed as both items he received, he could never use as Dro's class used leather armour and not plate. Dro put the two items into his inventory.

Dro looked at the corpse and he thought, "I wonder if that item Zephirah gave me will work on the dragon. She specified I needed to kill the Elite monsters but I wonder if Boss monsters work."

Dro pulled out the gem he received from Zephirah and touched the corpse of the dragon. The gem touched the Dragon but nothing happened. Dro frowned and sighed. He mumbled, "I guess only elites work."

The youth put the items away, stood up and walked out of the instance. When Dro walked out of the dungeon, he stopped in his tracks. Dro saw a party of players before him. They were fighting a wyvern. He looked at the players and saw that they were <Levels 20,22 and 23> and they were all human players. Dro saw how they managed to kite the monster around without letting it hit them. And when the monster hit them one of the three players would heal the damaged one. At the end of the fight, all three players had full health.

The players that he found were,

<Zork, Hunter, Level 20>

<1,250/1,250 HP>

<Riki, Mage, Level 23>

<1,400/1,400 HP>

<Nork, Paladin, Level 22>

<1,350/1,350 HP>

Just as Dro was looking at the players one of them said, "Someone is watching us." The other two looked in Dro's direction and saw him standing by the warning sign. The three players approached Dro and one of them said, "You are also levelling here?"

The other added a question, "Why are you alone? Don't you know that this is a death game?"

The third just nodded his head agreeing with his two friends questions.

Dro looked at them and replied, "Yes I am levelling here."

The three of them nodded and Riki the highest levelled players of the group asked, "So why are you alone? This is a death game. If you die it's over. You know that right?"

Dro nodded his head, "Yes I do know that."

The leader of the group looked at Dro. He then said, "Sorry for asking you all the questions. I forgot my manner my name is Riki and these are my friends Zork and Nork."

"I am Zork," Said one standing to the left of Riki.

"I am Nork," Said one standing to the left of Zork.

Dro looked at the three and nodded his head," My name is Dro."

Riki frowned, "That name sounds familiar. Isn't it the name of that player that took several first achievements?"

Nork laughed and said, "Riki don't be ridiculous he is already <Level 40> and he is only <Level 25>

Zork nodded and said, "That's right."

Dro didn't say anything, he just listened to the conversation of the youths. Since it was a while since he had interacted with other players, he just observed them as they interacted.

Riki turned his head from his friends and looking at Dro said, "Dro what are you doing alone?"

Dro shook his head and replied, "I told you already, I am levelling up."

Riki frowned and asked, "Alone?"

Dro sighed, "Do you see anyone here besides the four of us?"

The three looked around and they looked surprised at Dro. Riki said, "Are you not afraid to die?"

Dro shrugged his shoulders not replying to Riki.

Riki sighed and asked, "Do you want to join our party?"

Dro tilted his head in confusion and asked, "Why?"

Zork said, "Isn't it obvious? It's too dangerous to be levelling on your own."

Nork nodded and said, "That's right."

Riki smiled and said, "How about it?"

Dro shook his head and said, "That won't be necessary. I am going alone."

Nork said, "Let's go together. It will be safer for you and for us."

Dro shook his head again and said, "I am going ahead."

Dro walked passed the three of them and walked to the other branch of the path. But before he could disappear into the distance Riki called out, "Wait!"

Dro stopped and turned his head and asked, "What is it?"

"You came from beyond the warning sign. What's there?" Asked the highest levelled player from the group of three friends.

"Don't go there if you don't want to die. See you." Dro walked into the distance and he soon disappeared from players eyes.

Zork frowned and he said, "Don't go if we don't want to die?"

Nork laughed, "He came from there unscathed, I really doubt its anything dangerous."

Riki nodded his head, "Alright. Let's go in there then."

The three players walked into the instance.
