7 Looking For A Better Weapon

Dro went back to the village as he needed a better weapon, he hoped to find a weapon that was better than his current one. But he didn't have high expectations, as he was a NEET, this wasn't his first time playing an MMORPG type game and he knew that vendors in starting villages usually sold the same weapon he would get from creating a character.

Dro ignored the <Vampire Bats> when coming back as he only wanted to check the shops as quickly as possible. Dro returned to the village and looking over the map he saw the location of the shops. Looking at the map there were 2 more quests, one of them had an orange marker instead of a yellow one.

[What is this Orange marker?] Though Dro.

But he still went towards the vendor to check if there were any gear that he could use. He arrived at a small shop, and the attendant was Vampire man he looked like a middle-aged man.

Dro read his title, but the current him still wasn't familiar with the hierarchy of Vampires, he only knew that queen ruled over everyone. After her, came the progenitors and even below them were Counts, but Dro didn't know if there were any layers above Counts or who was below Counts.

Joshua seeing Dro approach bowed his head, "What can I do for you, your excellency?"

"I am looking for a weapon," Dro said casually,

"I am humbled, that your Excellency came to my shop to look for a weapon, please look at what I have in stock."

A list appeared before Dro, there were listed the wares of the vendor.

When Dro saw the items he was dumbfounded

Sweat poured his back as he saw the weapons he started scrolling to the list until he reached level 1 area.

[This is the only level 1 weapon in entire shop]

[How come you can buy so many strong items here?]

Dro closed the menu, "Do you usually sell all these high levelled items?"

"No, I only showed you because of your esteemed self."

[So its because of my title?]

[But wait, is it really connected to my title?]

[There was no such benefit in the description]

Dro once again opened vendor menu and clicked on the <Sword Of The Eternal Knight>

[This is a reputation item?]

Dro tried clicking on the other items, and all of them required some kind of reputation.

[This is a reputation Vendor?]

[But wait, I am considered Exalted with the Vampires?]

[This must be because of my class as Pure Blood or my title. One or another]

[I should buy that level 1 short sword]

[But how do I get 1 gold?]

[That <Vampire Bat> dropped 1 copper, maybe I can farm those. But that will take too long, I also saw 2 quests in the village, I should check them out]

Dro moved to the location of the yellow quest marker, seeing Dro approach the vampire spoke, "Progenitor it shames me to ask you of this but please bring me 6 pelts of <Vampire Bats>, these bats could be found roaming near the village."

<Accept, Decline>

[I get to choose?]

Dro nodded his head and spoke, "Very well, I shall do it," After accepting this quest with a yellow marker he went to the quest with an orange marker.

Approaching closer, he got the attention of the Vampire quest giver.

"Progenitor? Here? That is good I need your help, your Excellency"

"What do you need?" Dro asked while getting used to this special treatment.

"South of the village there is a cave, and apparently in that cave, there are werewolves. I want your Excellency to go into that cave and slaughter every single one of those mutts>

<Accept, Decline>

[Wait, talent point? There are talents in this game?]

[Well, for now, I should accept]

"I will check this cave out"

"Thank you, I knew I could count on you, your Excellency."

Having received his quests, Dro first opened his quest log. In the quest log, he had three types of quests. Normal quest, in that category the <Vampire Bat> pelt quest was there. Then there was Hidden quest tab where the werewolf quest was, and the last tab was Class quest in the class quest tab there was his quest to solve the plight of the <Novice Vampire Village>.

This Quest Log window was like in any MMORPG game, quest description and rewards were listed. Unlike the other MMORPG's there was a question mark icon, clicking on it new information was displayed.

Dro read through the information, after doing so he closed the window and he went to deal with the quest concerning the <Vampire Bats>. Fro went outside of the village and he immediately saw that <Vampire Bat> which he needed to kill. He approached the bat and attacked it with his weapon using a skill.

Having killed the bat he was now <100/500 XP> the quest itself required him to get 6 pelts but to level up he needed to kill 8 more. Since they all fell from one blood strike he started killing. The drop rate of this pelt was 100%, Dro wasn't surprised at the drop rates in beginner villages are never low. But Dro still killed two more extra, and with this, he reached <level 2>.

Having reach <level 2> his stats, his health has increased. Opening the character screen he saw.

Dro frowned when he reached <level 2> he now had a new resource he didn't have mana but instead he had something named <Blood>.

Dro tried clicking on <Blood> but nothing happened, it was the same effect as clicking on <Health>.

[I will probably find out soon enough, it must be connected with the skills I will learn]

Dro returned back to the village to turn in his quest, approaching the NPC.

"Hello I have brought six pelts you asked for."

The Vampire nodded, "Thank you, your Excellency, for doing this favour."

Dro now had <500/750 XP>

Dro looked up to the quest giver and he saw, the Vampire had another yellow quest marker. Dro inquired, "Can I help you with anything else?"

"Your Excellency, you could. I would like you to go and find 6 pelts of <Corrupted Vampire Bat>, those bats were spotted south of the village.

<Accept, Decline>

"I will do it" Dro accepted the quest.
