1 [ 1 ] EXPLANATION

Darkness.

A ball of mist of white with a tinge of red and grey was hovering alone in the darkness. If one went near they would be able to see that the ball is constantly shifting, showing signs of intelligence talking to itself.

*sigh*

"What was I thinking?! I never should've trusted that mongrel of a bastard. I should've spend more time with Ze Yun and Ning'er. Yun'er(Long Yuyin) must be disappointed in me. I was not even able to protect Ying Yueru. She, like always, sacrificed herself so Sage Emperor wouldn't point me out. And that sacrifice was ruined just because I trusted a wrong person. Ancestral Master Daozang must be turning in his own grave, repenting for choosing a rascal. *sigh*"

Nie Li had thoroughly thought of his every move that he has made until final moment. Everything was perfect except Demon Lord. He couldn't understand why one of the 6 reincarnated master would betray him or at least that's what Ancestral Master Daozang said. And there was also that last page of the Book.

' I thought I had thoroughly studied the Temporal Demon Spirit Book. I was only able to get little to no insight in that page. Basically that removed both Demon Lord and Sage Emperor from the timeline. And not just limited to that, they were even removed from cycle of reincarnation. I was already a Supreme rank expert. And there was that page that looked identical to Temporal Demon Spirit Book. I was not able to get any insight into it. There is also this black space. *sigh* I should calm myself.'

All these thought were unable to make Nie Li disturbed. He had studied genuine Laws of Life and Death. He already had  reincarnated once so he was unfazed in this situation. Time passed like water in the river. The concept of time was vague in this space. Sometimes it would feel like centuries have passed while on others it would feel like a moment. Nie Li contemplated his life all this while. When he was through everything, the tinge of red and grey on his soul was nowhere to be seen leaving a complete whiteness. After that he led himself to a calm state where he started to contemplate that mysterious page.

Nie Li had thoroughly grasped the art of inscription to the degree that it would be like breathing to him. Time trickled by. Might be imagination but the white mist got cleaner as more time passed. After what felt like a moment there was an eye blinding brightness coming from the ball which subsided in no time. The ball of mist now was covered in various lines and symbols like ruins. A single book was hovering in front of Nie Li which he recognized as Temporal Demon Spirit Book. The only difference that he can think of is the new out-of-press appearance. The name was much distinct and edges were sharp, pages don't have any sign of being aged.

Suddenly the Book opened up to reveal the last of pages where there was a sign of a broken page. To his surprise the broken page started to reconstruct itself out of nothingness. Now there was a brand new page at last part standing there waiting for something to happen. Like taking command, all the ruins on the soul of Nie Li started to imprint themselves on the now new page of the Book like the autumn dew falling from the leaves. The scene was quite mesmerizing and magical. Irony.

After what felt like quite a while there was a voice of a female child which felt like it didn't have any source but Nie Li knew that the voice was coming from the book proving that it has a consciousness.

"Ohhh! Finally out. All those torning and ripping was hell. Once I find that bastard I will make sure to remove him from the cycle of reincarnation. Hmgh hmgh. Hmm.. oh right you were the one who found me and brought me together so I should express my gratitude to you."

Suddenly a little girl morphed out from the book, dancing around. She looked around 8-9 years old with blonde hair, emerald eyes and a small nose with a wide smile which expressed her joy and the amicable aura. She started cursing and swearing and stomping her feet around. From her words it's probably the supreme expert who brought the book in Draconic Ruins Realm from Upper Realm. Thinking about it Nie Li started sweating profusely, if he could. She then looked towards Nie Li and bowed. She then introduced herself with a smile.

"Hello. I think I need to introduce myself. My name is Yan. You can think of me as Temporal Demon Spirit Book's soul spirit." after saying that she looked towards me expecting me to do the same.

Nie Li was in a trance for a while. He never would have thought that the book he carried for his whole two lives would have a spirit of its own. Then he thought of something and asked, "Wait. You said that you are the spirit of the Temporal Demon Spirit Book. Then doesn't that mean that you have stayed with me for my whole life. Then why did you never revealed yourself to me, unless you were injured. And what kind of attack was that? "

The book spirit was quietly listening with a smiling expression and at the end of Nie Li's question, she had a smirk on her face. With a mixed proud and melancholic voice, she said, "I was left behind by my father in the hopes that if one day his home realm is ever endangered than someone will find me and I would help that person. *sigh*. But before that can happen, a war already started in Upper Realm. It was also for the possession over Temporal Demon Spirit Book. My senior brother was able to protect me for a while but that Sage Emperor and some bastard had to put their nose in that war and brought me to Draconic Ruins realm. The other bastard tore me apart and threw me in Tiny World. If not for my senior brother collecting all my torn pages except for nine and putting me in desert palace for recovery, than I don't know what would have happened to me. And about me not revealing myself to you was, indeed, because of my injuries. And the attack you are talking about is the ultimate attack my father created at his prime and sealed it inside me. But that kind of attack is only possible in a subsidiary realm like this." She finished saying all that with proud expression.

Nie Li definitely would be frowning if he had a face. He got his questions answered but at the same time new questions were forming in his mind. First was the 'Father' which Yan was mentioning about. A person who can change fate and existence of a person can't be a simple being. And from Yan's words it seems that that expert had already left the whole of this domain, but than where has he gone to? Second is the 'Senior Brother' that Yan keeps mentioning about. Nie Li couldn't contain himself and asked, "Can you tell me who is this 'father' you keep mentioning about. And why and where did he go after leaving the home realm? I have a slight guess about your senior brother though. Is he the spiritual god of space and time?"

The book spirit still had that smug expression like she was expecting something like this. She started to slowly explain with a faked expression, "It is quite troublesome but since I am going to stay with you from now on I shall answer your questions. First my father is not your average expert. He is the supreme expert with the title of 'Temporal God' of the Thousand World Realm. Even in your prime, you would be nothing more than an ant in his eyes. Now about why he left, well, let me ask you. If you were to know that there is still higher realms than this world, what would you do? You would definitely go there, right? So he also left for 'Thousand Worlds Realm'. And, yes, 'The Thousand World Realms' is the highest realm there is. Now about your second question about my senior brother, well, he is indeed the person who you people call spiritual world of space and time. Nie Li was slowly digesting all this new information. Myriads of expressions were showing on his face. The ideal image of the world he thought was real was slowly coming to pieces. Many new questions were forming in his mind again most being about this new world which Yan talked about and the space he was in right now. So he asked, "So tell me more about this 'Thousand Worlds Realm'. And can you tell me about what is going to happen with me and this space."

The book spirit took a slow breath and wore a serious expression, "The Thousand Worlds Realm is the highest realm a person can reach to. And I am not talking about cultivation realms, I am talking about a literal place. The Thousand Worlds Realm, like its name suggests, is a place where new realms open up to and which is extremely vast with thousands of continents. Some realms are like flat land while some are in planetary forms. Myriads of races come from these realms with different cultivation system, different talent and different natures. Some are evil while some are good natured. The realm above Draconic Ruins Realm, which you people call the 'Upper Realm', is the final hurdle which you need to pass through to go to Thousand Worlds Realm. Once you reach the top of that realm you will be able to go there. Very few people were able to pass through that including my father. The reason being the two faction who are always in the state of war. Your 'Tiny World' was also created by my father in the image of the 'Thousand World Realm' even though it is a lot more smaller. And this space is constructed by me so I can talk to you. You don't have to worry. Do you still recall the page which was extremely complex. Well that was added a hundred thousand years ago by father when he was reaching the end of his life span. This answers why the page looks new. It is probably as a reward for whoever saves this realm from the calamity, which you did indeed save from Sage Emperor. And about reward, well, i'll let you find out about that. Now do you want to ask anything before I give you your reward."

Nie Li had serious expression. He never would have imagined that the Tiny World he was living in had this kind of origins. He knew that Yan was impatient so he didn't waste any time and asked what he had in his mind with straight face, " You are saying that that last attack removed both Demon Lord and Sage Emperor from the timeline and existence than doesn't that mean that all those people who had even the slightest influence in their life by both of them will have their fate changed. Since you were with me all this time than can you tell me why Demon Lord betrayed us. And will I be ever able to use you or talk to you after this?"

The book spirit had an amused expression. Nie Li was able to understand this much by himself without Yan telling him anything. This really surprised Yan since many few people had extremely low comprehension on fate and destiny. She answered without much thinking' "Yes indeed. Many people's fates will change while some will remain unchanged. You see, fate is not that easy ro manipulate. Since this is only a subsidiary realm it is easy to do so here but in the presence of Heavenly Laws of Great Thousand World it would be nearly impossible. Some who had death written on themselves will die even without Sage Emperor doing anything since someone else will do it. It will just be delayed or happened sooner. Only those whose fates were closely linked together with that of Sage Emperor or Demon Lords will have their fates changed. And about Demon Lord, he was never one of the six reincarnated masters. The original owner of the body was the true reincarnation of Heavenly Serpent Master. The only reason why Master Daozang had mistaken him for the reincarnated master is because of the aura of remnant soul of the original owner. Demon Lord figured it out before you can do and that's probably the reason why he betrayed you guys. He probably feared that once you find out about that you would definitely kill him given a chance. And about you using me. that will probably not happen again. I will talk to you when I feel like it. And it seems you have already figured out the reward. Since its like this than with my last remaining strength I will give you a slight increase in your talent. Now go hurry up and leave. Shoo. Shoo." With saying this much Yan started waving like she is shooing the dogs away.

Nie Li was confused about this since he wanted to ask about the last sentence. But before he can ask anything he began to blur. And suddenly everything went black.

After what felt like forever Nie Li started to regain his consciousness. Everything felt extremely muddy. He couldn't think properly. Nie Li was having hard time moving his limbs. Even his eyelids felt difficult to open. After much difficulty he opened his eyelids but suddenly he froze...
