Chapter 2. Taming Kyubi

Inside a prison cell, Saruto was meditating in peace. Suddenly, he heard someone's approaching his cell. People with a powerful presence. [Saruto…]

'What?'

[Be careful with the Uchiha! Don't be victim to his genjutsu]

'I see it's him. The famous body flicker'

Saruto opened his eyes and stood up. He wiped off the dust on his body and turned around. The bare-chested man looked at his visitors. Uzumaki Kushina and Uchiha Shisui were standing there. Kushina was pregnant with Naruto and Shisui was an 8-year-old with potential. 'Never thought I'd an Uchiha Uzumaki duo like this'

[They don't fight together as a duo, ya know]

'I know that'

Saruto coughed and then asked, "Is my interrogation over?"

"Not yet. I am your guard, Uchiha Shisui and this is Kushina Uzumaki"

"Hey kid, I know you're young and all but a shinobi doesn't introduce himself in front of a stranger"

Shisui had a confused look. Then he smirked as he spoke "It doesn't matter. I introduce myself to strangers because if the stranger is an ally, there's no harm. If the stranger is an enemy, he will die in my hands" said Shisui.

'That attitude, as expected from an Uchiha

Saruto spoke, "Why is a pregnant woman visiting me?"

Kushina observed the young man from top to bottom. She blushed while seeing the bare-chested man and spoke "He is not an Uzumaki or a descendant"

"So, you're going to be locked up for a while…"

"Saruto"

"Saruto-san."

"So, you don't know when I am getting released. That's okay! Hey can I ask you guys something"

"What is it?" asked Kushina.

"I didn't finish those books I was reading in that destroyed village. I want to finish"

"I'll arrange it for you"

"And one more thing"

"What?" asked Shisui.

"Get me some chicken! I haven't eaten since I came here"

Shisui accompanied Kushina to the door. He whispered "Kushina-san, you shouldn't be drooling over a prisoner"

Kushina screamed as her red hair rose "THEN GET HIM A SHIRT. WHY IS HE SHOWING HIS ABS?"

Meanwhile, inside the cell, Saruto thought 'Judging by her belly size, soon it's going to happen

[You should interfere!]

'I know voice guy'

[Voice guy?]

'If I get a new name, you should too!'

[Except your new name is weird]

Saruto was reading multiple books and scrolls at the same time which amazed the guards including Shisui. He was allowed to study by Yondaime hokage. Suddenly, the sound of an explosion. Saruto had a bad feeling. He turned to look at the guards. They were all running in the corridor except Shisui. Shisui asked a guard "What is happening?"

"Kyubi appeared out of nowhere. It's attacking the village"

"I'll come with you!" said Shisui.

"No, Uchiha must stay inside the village and protect the civilians"

"What?"

"Those are Sandaime's orders"

The guards left the prison leaving Shisui behind. Saruto was listening to the conversation. Even though he knew the answer, Saruto asked "Hey, why are the Uchihas not allowed to fight?"

Shisui sighed then spoke "One of the founders of the village, Uchiha Madara could control Kyubi. Since then our clan faced discrimination. The government fears our presence during situations like this"

"So, your clan members can control Kyubi, right?"

"Yes"

"Then you guys should be in the front line taming the beast, restraining its movements"

"Unfortunately, no one in my clan is strong as Madara to tame it"

"We don't know that until we try"

Saruto made some hand signs.

"Ninjutsu doesn't work on this…."

Saruto spat lava out of his mouth which melted the metal bars. Shisui covered his body with his hands as he backed off.

"How did you break through our sealing barrier?"

"Before you try to put me on your genjutsu, bring me to your leader!"

"You want him to tame Kyubi! But I don't think he can"

"If he's your leader, I take that as he's the strongest. He can at least try to tame Kyubi"

Shisui thought for a moment. He can still hear the sound of attack caused by the tailed beast. His mission was to keep an eye on Saruto. Something tells him he can trust this man.

"Let's go!"

Uchiha Fugaku was directing his police force members to protect the civilians. He didn't like the orders that banned his clan from fighting the tailed beast on the front line but he endured it for the sake of his clan's safety. He was thinking about the government's intention. That's when the body flicker appeared with someone he had never met. Saruto explained his plan to Fugaku but Fugaku refused. Shisui managed to convince him. Three of them hurried up to the front line. On the way, Saruto was thinking of ideas to save the Hokage and his wife. That's when he got a glimpse of women bug breasts who reminded him of someone. 'That's it! Tsunade's dream from Mugen Tsukuyomi

[But the Reaper's death seal needs a soul as a sacrifice]

'Not in this case. I have an alternative'

[I see. I am eager to see what it is]

Minato and Kushina were holding their baby beside Kyubi. They were arguing about sealing the beast by sacrificing themselves. Kyubi screamed but suddenly went calm. His pupils turned to red as he dropped to the ground. Surprised Minato looked around to see if it was the masked man's doing. But he found himself in the presence of his fellow candidate for the Hokage's post. Along with him, his mysterious prisoner and his guard were there.

"Fugaku-sama, your eyes it's different!" asked Shisui with a shocked expression. Fugaku clutched his eyes and said "Don't say a word to the clan members! You're a smart kid. You know what would happen"

Shisui understood why the secret of Fugaku's Mangekyo should be kept. Saruto asked, "How long can you keep him down!"

"Long enough for you to perform the sealing. Just hurry up!"

Minato was confused about what was going on. Saruto approached the couple.

"Yondaime, can you perform Inyōton?"

"That's what I was going to do"

"But you were going to seal one half inside you and the other inside the baby right?"

"How did you…"

"No time to explain! Perform the Reaper's death seal and seal one half inside your son and the other inside your wife!"

"But.."

"If you do that you can save them both"

Minato looked at his eyes. He was serious. Minato performed the seal even after his weakened wife tried to stop him. Minato performed hand signs

and the Reaper appeared. Sandaime and his team arrived on the time to witness this. He also saw Fugaku who was stopping Kyubi from moving. After seeing that he realised his actions were wrong as he was influenced by Danzo. Before Minato could seal the beast, Saruto performed some hand signs.

The Reaper's movements were stopped. Minato was confused again. He asked, "What did you do?"

"Continue with the sealing! You don't have to sacrifice your soul"

"But how?"

"Yondaime, with all, due respect, please continue the sealing before Kyubi wakes up"

Minato looked at Fugaku who was struggling to keep control over the tailed beast. So, he did as Saruto said and successfully sealed the beast inside his wife and son. Kushina went unconscious while Naruto was crying. Minato lifted his baby as baby Naruto stopped crying. Sandaime approached as he screamed.

"What's the meaning of this? Why did you seal Kyubi inside a baby, Minato?"

Saruto answered "Kushina-san can't handle hold onto Kyubi's full chakra after extraction without a proper medical ninjutsu treatment between the extraction and the sealing. So, we can only seal half of inside her, that would also save her life"

"And I sealed the rest inside Naruto because I had this feeling. I believe he can one-day master the beast's power"

Sandaime smiled and said, "You and your gut feelings…you're Jiraya's pupil after all. I trust the decision of the current Hokage" he turned his gaze to Saruto "And you! You know a lot of stuff about sealing. How come?"

"I like reading Sandaime-sama"

"Saruto Huh? You are named after my clan, I see!"

Saruto scratched his head "I would ask my parents but that's impossible. They're gone"

"You look like a monkey after all. Maybe that's why they gave you this name"

Sandaime laughed and Saruto laughed too to avoid awkwardness. Fugaku and Shisui approached. Shisui helped the medical team to carry Kushina while Minato stayed with his baby. Fugaku apologised to Sandaime for disobeying his orders but Sandaime said "It's okay Fugaku. You helped the village and its people when it was needed even if it means disobeying orders. It turned out well, right? Now get to your police force! They might need your expertise"

"About my eyes…"

"I know why you kept it a secret. I respect your choice"

Fugaku felt like a small amount of weight was lifted from his head but still, he had to act for the sake of his clan. He disappeared to his subordinates. Saruto looked at the baby who was being held by Minato. Saruto asked, "What's his name?"

"Naruto"

"Uzumaki Naruto, that's a great name"

"It's Namikaze actually!"

"I don't think your wife would agree to that"

"Yeah, she won't" They both laughed. Saruto said "I am going to my cell. It's messed up with my Yoton but I can deal with it"

"I have a job for you!"

"A job?"

"From now on, you're one of my advisors"

"Wow! That escalated quickly! Why me?"

"Because I met a masked man. You mentioned your village was destroyed by a masked man. So, I trust your story. After what I've seen with your abilities, I promote you as a leaf shinobi"

'Hey, he bought my story voice guy'

[Stop calling me that]

Saruto asked "So, where am I staying"

"You're staying at my house"
