Chapter 16.Saruto fights Yondaime

Bima fought Iwano Akame of Konoha, and Bima won. Mei vs Tsubusa of Suna, Mei won. Karatachi of Kiri vs Menka of Suna, Karatachi beat him without even using his weapon. Nara Kuzuga of Konoha vs Tsubaru of Suna, Kuzuga beat him with Shadow possession Jutsu.

The semi-finals started. Winners of these three matches would fight in the final match. Saruto walked to the ground yawning until he saw his opponent. Chojuro, this time came with two swords. The match started Saruto waited for Chojuro to attack but he didn't. So, Saruto used futon nature on his kunai, making the chakra around it like a sword. Saruto slashed his kunai against Chojuro's sword. He wasn't able to break Chojuro's stance just with that.

Eighteen clones appeared. The proctors had their jaws dropped. Mizukage told Hokage, "He's an interesting shinobi"

"He is"

"Even if chojuro fails, he will have to face Karatachi in the final round. What will happen when the two of them face each other? I am eager to see that"

"You have your hopes up on this Karatachi"

Mizukage grinned.

Back on the ground, Chojuro was dealing with Saruto's clones. Chojuro slashed three clones who were surrounding him with one strike. He cut through five others while running. The remaining were cut in half. Once he was done with the clones, he looked for the real Saruto. Saruto was nowhere to be found. Everyone looked around. That's when the ground below Chojuro cracked open. Saruto came out of it to punch Chojuro who wasn't expecting the attack, on the chin. Chojuro was thrown away. As he was in the air, Saruto body flicked to appear behind him, their backs touched each other. Saruto grabbed him behind by his shoulders and slammed his back of the neck on the ground. Chojuro puked some blood as he went unconscious. Saruto approached his unconscious body and said, "The current you can't measure up to me"

Hayate announced Saruto as the winner. Saruto turned his gaze at Karatachi, a swordsman from Kiri that he never heard of. He went back to his locker passing by his two teammates who were up against each other. Hayate announced, "Second match of the second round, Huwang Mei vs Wen Bima"

Mizukage asked, "Hokage, their names are weird, don't you think?"

"Weird names?"

Minato looked at Saruto who just arrived on a balcony on the opposite side. Saruto had his shirt off revealing his writings. Minato looked at them. It seemed strange. Some of the letters were gone. 'Saruto, what's going on!'

Hayate started the match. Bima and Mei didn't move. They both were raising their right arm slowly.

"I forfeit"×2

After saying that, they both left the ground. Saruto thought, 'Those two…' He shook his head with a smile. The next match started between Kazuga and Karatachi. Kazuga used his shadow that extended to catch Karatachi. Karatachi jumped as he unsealed a club from his hand. Once he landed on the ground, the shadow tried to reach him. Karatachi smashed the shadow with his club as Kazuga fell as a result of the sudden release. Before he could stand up, Karatachi smashed his ribs as Kazuga flew away. The impact got him unconscious and Karatachi advanced to the final. Saruto jumped from the balcony and landed on the ground. 'I should have guessed. A club'

"Proctor, can we start the final match?"

"I am ready to fight proctor, you can start the fight", said Karatachi.

Saruto punched his palm as he smirked and then changed his hands to form a sign.

Twenty-five clones appeared and they started attacking Karatachi. Even though he was stronger than Chojuro at that time, Karatachi had a tough time handling the clones because his club was heavy. Plus he was carrying Hiramekarai on his back. He took down all of Saruto's clones. Fighting with that much weight exhausted Karatachi. His club disappeared as he held Hiramekarai in his hand. He then revealed the twin sword from its cover. "I didn't know you can wield this sword"

"What are you?"

"The name's Saruto. That's all you need to know"

His pink eyes widened. Saruto observed carefully. "I am not fighting a puppet"

"What are you saying?"

Saruto spoke out loud so that everyone can hear him, "You're under someone's genjutsu"

He pointed his finger at Karatachi.

"The man I am facing here is the true Mizukage Karatachi…Yagura"

Minato stood up from his seat and looked at the man beside him. He took off his hat and white cloak to reveal a white-skinned man in a black cloak beneath with red cloud symbols. Minato's eyes widened, "Orochimaru-sama!"

Minato quickly told his guards to protect the civilians. The village was under attack but this time it wasn't Sunagakure with the help of Otogakure, Kirigakure is attacking Konohagakure. What's worse is the attack was happening early. Saruto wasn't expecting this to happen. He didn't have any plans. All he could do was fight the Mizukage and let Minato handle Orochimaru. Saruto quickly ordered his teammates, "Bima Mei!"

His teammates formed some hand signs and disappeared. Saruto's writings reappeared on his body. He started to run toward Yagura. Yagura used his twin sword to attack Saruto from above. Both swords were aiming at his shoulders. Saruto quickly turned his body to the side to avoid the strikes. His right arm was facing Yagura. Saruto grabbed him by the throat and threw him. Yagura crashed himself on a wall. "Come out!"

Saruto stretched his body and approached Yagura. "Come out so that I can release your genjutsu, Isobu!"

Ninjas from Kiri appeared around the arena and started attacking. The chunins who were present helped the families who were there to support the participants. Naruto and Sasuke were hiding behind Iruka. "Just stay behind me, the Hokage will take care of the situation"

The alert was given. Genins and Chunins helped the non-fighters to evacuate while the jonins started fighting the invaders around the village. Naruto was worried about Saruto. He looked at Saruto. Saruto was fighting Yagura. "Iruka sensei, earlier Saruto said that his opponent was Yondaime Mizukage. That means his opponent is strong as Hokage, right" asked Sasuke. "Now is not the time for questions, just stay behind me"

Sasuke clenched his fist. 'Why is he strong? How is he fighting a Kage level shinobi?'

Multiple fights were happening between the ninjas from both villages. Iruka wanted to defend his village but he knew he must protect Sasuke and Naruto. Avoiding fights, he was trying to get his students to safety.

Minato used a Rasengan on Orochimaru. Orochimaru avoided it using a bunch of snakes which took the attack in his place. Suddenly Minato appeared behind Orochimaru and bodyslammed him from above his head. Orochimaru stood up quick as he crawled up. Minato disappeared again to appear with a Rasengan this time. This time Minato hit a mud clone instead of the real Orochimaru. Minato quickly reacted as he kicked Orochimaru on his stomach. Orochimaru was thrown from the balcony and collided with Iruka who was running away with Naruto and Sasuke. Iruka was knocked out from the impact. Orochimaru touched his head and saw Sasuke and Naruto. He screamed at Minato who was watching "Can you save your kid Minato?"

Minato reacted to his provocation and threw his kunai at them so that he can teleport himself there. Naruto couldn't even move because of Orochimaru's menacing presence approaching him. His neck stretched as Orochimaru was going to bite him. Naruto closed his eyes and then opened them to see his father holding him in his arms. "Tou-chan, you…saved me"

Minato smiled at his son but on his shoulder, Orochimaru's head was there. Minato was bleeding. Minato took the bit for Naruto and was poisoned. "Tou…chan" he was trembling. Orochimaru retracted his head and spoke,

"I made this poison, especially for you. I was waiting for the right moment. You're too much predictable Minato" said Orochimaru wiping his mouth. Sasuke who was watching everything spoke, "You…took…down…the Hokage"

"This is my power kid. There is so much I can offer you"

Sasuke frowned as he said, "leave before I humiliate you by beating you here!"

Orochimaru smirked. Naruto was holding his father who was going unconscious. "TOU-CHAN!!!"

He screamed at his father's body. He still had a heartbeat Naruto could feel he was alive. He screamed again "Saruto-san, please help me! Help Tou-chan"

They all looked at Saruto. He was in front of Yagura but not in his human form. He was in his 2nd stage of partial transformation. Suddenly, using his markings Saruto teleported Yagura with him away from there so that he can fight without damaging the village.
