17 First Quest 2
Lyrica had her eyes on all thirteen Lv. 5 slimes. More than half of them are in the front, and they consist of six flare and three lightning slimes.
Boing~! Boing~! Boing~!

An idea came to Lyrica's mind. An idea that will help not just to complete her first quest, but to also gain more EXP from the other slimes coming her way.
"This is the only way. If I want to complete the quest and gain experience, I have to make a chain reaction."
Taking all the information into account, aqua slimes are indeed powerful, but they can do nothing but shoot a high-pressured water vortex on a linear target, and it needs time to shoot.
"Aqua slimes won't cut it."
The lightning slimes can electrocute anything that comes into contact with it. Lightning slimes can create a chain reaction and kill the surrounding others. But again, it can electrify whatever touches its body, even a small part of the ground. Thus attacking them would also harm Lyrica.
"Lightning ones are a no-go."
What Lyrica has to do is to find a way to trigger the chain reaction. No, not just a trigger for the chain reaction, but to also ensure that her plan will work and eliminate the mob of slimes with one strike.
"If I'm looking to do that..."
Lyrica hardened her fist, locking her intense gaze on one of the flare slimes in the front.
Boing~! Boing~! Boing~!
"... You're the one to go!"
Using her whole body, Lyrica threw a left punch against the flare slime.
Boooiing~
Lyrica's punch connected, creating a bouncing noise as the creature was sent flying.
As Lyrica expected, Lv. 5 slimes are something she cannot kill in just one punch.
But that worked for her plan since she never intended to kill just one, but the whole mob, to begin with.
Lyrica tried to get some distance away as soon as she sent the flare slime flying at the others. More particularly to the lightning slimes.
The sound of slimes colliding with one another, and the lightning current spreading to every slime in close proximity resonated around the flower field.
"Flare slimes don't just heat up and then burst into flames out of nowhere."
Said Lyrica while watching her plan unfold right before her eyes.
"Flare slimes heat up and create an explosion when they get irritated as if imitating a person when they snap."
Flare slimes can get irritated by touching the sharp edges of rocks, and the leaf blades of the surrounding plants. Or, by punching it straight into a lightning slime that can irritate it with the lightning current.
Boom!!
An explosion broke out the moment the flare slime came into contact with the lightning one. From there, things escalated fast.
"Ugh—!"
The other lightning slimes discharged a lightning current that struck everyone, including every other flare slime. Resulting in simultaneous explosions which created a force that violently shoved away Lyrica who couldn't get as far away as she could.
Crash! Slide! Rumble!
"Kuh... That hurt."
Lyrica groaned in pain as both her right arm and shoulder hit the ground and grind against it, creating a few small tears around her black blazer's sleeve as well as several scrape wounds on her arm.
It's no surprise that Lyrica was hurt because of the chain reaction she created, reducing her HP by 5.5%. But it was smart of her to try and get as far away as possible. Otherwise, the damage could have been worse.
Lyrica tried to get in a sitting posture, grunting. "Did it work?"
Lyrica tried to stand afterward, ignoring the pain coursing through her right limb just to see what happened to the mob.
"Yeah."
Following the voice's answer, the aftermath of the chain reaction revealed itself behind the clearing black smoke.
The slimes are gone, they are nowhere to be seen. However, a sizeable plot of land was caught in the explosion. The ground is now covered in black, and the flowers inside the blast radius turned to ashes, spoiling the beauty of the flower field.
"How unsightly." The voice remarked. "It's like leaving a scar on someone's beautiful face."
You have to wonder how the flower field kept its beauty despite the presence of flare slimes that can turn the field into what was in front of Lyrica right now.
Well, there's one simple answer to that.
Before flare slimes eventually create explosions, the slime would bounce up as high as possible, keeping the plants away from harm.
If you think about it, slimes neither have eyes nor a mouth, but they possess a tiny bit of awareness. They are aware of their power and what it can do to their home.
Lyrica felt bad for spoiling the flower field's beauty. But to her dismay, there's nothing she can do about something that already happened.
"There's nothing I can do..."
After spouting those words, Lyrica's face turned dark as the image of the two people who lied and betrayed her, flashed before her eyes.

Turning her attention to the notice, the bereft expression on Lyrica's face transformed into shock as soon as she saw the amount of EXP she got from successfully killing the horde of slimes.
"That's quite a lot," Lyrica remarked.
But that's not all.

"My first quest is complete." Said Lyrica as she calculated all the EXP she acquired. "With this, I have a total of 56,400 EXP."
The given EXP of Lv. 5 slime is 550, the Lv. 4 ones are 440 each, and the Lv. 3s are 330 EXP.
Again, the experience multiplier works depending on the level difference between Lyrica and the monster she killed.
With Lyrica being at Lv. 1, the given EXP of Lv. 5 slimes would be multiplied by four. However, if Lyrica's level is at Lv. 2, and she killed Lv. 5 monsters, the given experience would only be multiplied by three.
But again, because the chain reaction killed the slimes all at once while Lyrica's level is still at one, the ×4 multiplier was applied to all Lv. 5 slimes. The same is true for the other Lv. 4 and Lv. 3 ones that were killed in the explosion.
As a result, the total EXP she received for killing the horde is a whopping 42,900 EXP. Adding the 13,500 experience she got for completing the quest, Lyrica received a total of 56,400 EXP.
"My level will jump high for sure."

Lyrica watched in silence as the hologram image reveals the level she jumped on.
Lv. 1 -> 11
"Wow!" The voice exclaimed in excitement. "From Lv. 1 to jumping at Lv. 11 in an instant. You know what that means, right?"
Moments later, another projection pops up right in front of her.

"Huh." Lyrica was puffed up by the result. "This is what an EXP Boost looks like."
Thanks to the level jump, Lyrica's mana pool now has more than what she initially had before. Her dB Limit also gained a drastic increase that it now has double digits. To top it off, she also got a total of 36 Stat Points that can be distributed freely to any of her five stats.
But that's not the end of it.
"You saw it, right?"
Suddenly, the voice mouthed a question to Lyrica.
"Yeah."
Lyrica nodded in response, but what did the voice mean with her question?
