Surprisingly ambushing Dr. Kyudai, turned out to be easier the second time around.

The man ended up walking down the same street, passing the same alleyway and even responded the same way as last time.

After I read through the files and thoroughly memorized everything. I ended up using my quirk on Dr. Kyudai the next day, and had him bring me a little something extra this time around.

I also decided to destroy the flash drive. After I was done with this whole thing.

I briefly thought about sending it, to the police or something, but simply couldn't risk it being traced back to me.

The information on that flash drive was simply terrifying.

From techniques on how to improve one's quirk, to how to create Nomus, to even a complete analysis of AFO's genetic makeup.

It was a treasure trove of information, an accumulation of countless hours of inhuman research and experiments.

Things that would make any sane person sick to their stomachs.

It turned out the Nomus were created from human corpses whose bodies were drastically altered in order to make them stronger and allow them to hold multiple Quirks.

The aforementioned human experiment ceased all higher brain function, leaving them with no will of their own, and making it so they require commands from a superior in order for them to act.

There were three main ways mentioned in the research on how to grant a subject multiple quirks.

You could either artificially transplant Quirks through advanced surgery.

Which took immense effort, since the artificial Quirks transplant involved complex surgeries and at least three months of stabilization time in a containment pod.

The second option, was to have All For One grant them multiple Quirks, but it then goes back to the issue of the subject's compatibility with the new quirks, their overall cellular structural integrity and the strength and nature of the new quirk.

For example, a person with a muscle augmentation quirk would have a better chance of accepting a quirk similar to his own.

Like a body hardening quirk or a bone manipulation quirk.

The third and final way, was staring me right in the face.

' AFO variant 7 ' .

The vial I was holding in my hand, contained a genetically altered version of AFO's DNA.

By injecting myself with his DNA, I'd eventually acquire the same ability to steal Quirks, although this variant was limited to 7 other powers.

It was an inferior version to the one, Nine was injected with.

Which was kind of a bummer if I were to be honest.

My body wouldn't be able to handle a higher variant or even AFO's full quirk without some sort of modification or surgery made on my body

This variant although weaker, had a lot less risk to it. But, along with those risks, came a lot of limitations.

The most obvious one, being I could at most obtain 7 more quirks.

Which isn't bad If I'm being honest, I mean counting my quirk. It's about 8 more than most people.

The second limitation, is that I can only take them.

Meaning, I can't transfer them to someone else, which means, the moment I decide on taking a quirk.

I'm stuck with it forever.

There are a few other things, which are disconcerting.

Like, depending on the quirk's compatibility with my body and its overall strength. I'd have to wait a period of time, whenever I decide on obtaining a new quirk.

It was crucial I gave my body enough time to adapt to the new quirk.

It could possibly take from between a few weeks to even months, before my body was stable enough to handle an additional quirk.

Otherwise I risk total cellular degeneration, which is just as bad as it sounds.

So, realistically it would be better if I just stick to one quirk at a time, and try to master it as soon as possible, before moving on to another.

For now though, it was time I went back home.

..

" So, let me get this straight. I'm only gone for 2 days, and I come back to find, that not only are you on the run. Your parents disowned you, and you've got no place to live." I asked, massaging the top of my head.

" Hai! ~" She shouted.

" Himiko! We've talked about this, what's our number one rule. " I said.

She put a finger under her chin, and it was obvious she was giving this some serious thought.

" Don't get caught? ," She asked.

*SMACCC*

"Ow!!!"

I chopped her on the head," Wrong, it's make sure there aren't any witnesses, and always wear a disguise. "

She rubbed her head, and started tearing up a bit, as if I was bullying her or something.

I sighed, " Himiko, just explain to me what the hell happened."

..

As it turns out Himiko, was found drinking the blood of a boy named Saito.

He apparently had a crush on her and tried to confess to her after school.

She ended up rejecting his confession, so he got a bit upset and tried begging her.

He went to grab her, which just ended as one would expect.

She stabbed him, and after seeing his blood, lost control and started feeding on him.

The boy Saito, was found almost drained of all his blood behind the school with bite marks all over him.

Unfortunately, a couple of students saw them walking together that day after school, and mentioned it, to one of the teachers.

The police came to investigate and Himiko being a prime suspect was called in for questioning.

Everyone looked at her with nothing but suspicion, and as a result, she ran away.

Her parents also publicly cut all ties with their daughter after the incident, claiming that she was always a lost cause and branded her as a "creepy demon child" , trying to deflect blame on their parenting by claiming that she was just born bad.

I stopped her halfway through and decided to ask her a question.

" I don't get it. He grapped you, so you stabbed him? And, why the hell do you have a knife on you in the first place?" I questioned.

She tilted her head in confusion as if my question didn't make any sense.

" To stab people of course, why else would I carry a knife. " She answered, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Ah, yes my mistake, you know what, I suddenly feel enlightened...

The girl was absolutely insane; I had no doubt about it.

And, trying to manage crazy was a recipe for disaster.

I kept her calm, prevented her from lashing out by taking the brunt of it.

I monitored her for a long time and saw how her psyche changed overtime.

Each time she would come back from one of those quirk counseling 'camps' her parents sent her too, she'd come back even worse.

She was becoming more unhinged. And my presence in her life was the sole reason, she still hadn't completely snapped.

When she got to the part concerning her parents, she started sniffling.

She became emotional and suddenly started crying. Asking if there was something wrong with her, and why didn't anybody love her.

So to try and calm her down, I told her I cared about her.

I tried to comfort her, as best as I could until she eventually fell asleep in my lap and spent the night with me.

..

[Next Morning]

" I think it's best if you lie low for a while, it's a good thing your training finally bore fruit, before this whole debacle." I said.

She looked at me curiously, " How's that going to help?"

" Just do it, your quirk should be flexible enough by now." I said.

She took out a vial of blood out of her pocket. And after she chugged it down, her body slowly started to transform.

She began to shrink down at a visible rate, and before I knew it.

A small white cat, with golden slitted eyes was staring back at me.

It gave a small meow, so I bent down to pick her up.

" Hello, Neko-chan, you've been a real bad kitty."
