18 Heroes vs Villains

"And the first two pairs to do combat will be the following!" All Might said.

A vs D. A being Midoriya and Uraraka, D lida and Bakugou.

"Pair A will be the heroes. Pair D will be the villains. This scenario has the villains inside the building first. Then, after five minutes, the heroes will be let in as well! Everyone else will to able to watch what unfolds through the surveillance cameras. Young Iida, young Bakugou, you must adapt a villains mindset to excel in this activity. Naturally, we'll cut it short if things get out of hand."

Once Bakugou and Lida had reached the paper mache nuclear weapon, I sighed a little. 'This may just be training, but I am still reluctant to reveal my abilities. I suppose it can't be helped.'

"So...What's your quirk?" Jiro's voice snapped me out of my musings.

Seeing Jiro's curious expression, I smirked. "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours."

She blushed a bit. "W.. What?"

I raised an eyebrow. " I was talking about your quirk. What's with that flustered expression. "

" Nothing! I... I knew that." She stammered.

Things went a bit silent as we watched Izuku and Bakougo's match. We couldn't hear what they were talking about, but judging by their faces and Bakougo's murderous expression, one could practically feel the angst and teen drama seeping through the screen.

Midoriya had incredible strength, while Uraraka's quirk could incapacitate either one of them with a single touch, that is, if used correctly, especially if she got ahold of any debris to use as a weapon.

Both had done well in the entrance exam- thinking it over, Uraraka had placed third in, making her higher ranked than I, and Midoriya was among the few who placed behind me.

Of course, Bakugou had placed first, so perhaps he was confident, but still, neither of them were the sort to be underestimated…

Welp. Well that went as well as I expected.

Bakougo threw a hissy fit, because Midoriya wasn't quirkless anymore. And, Ochacko managed to secure the win, even though the stunt they pulled would've ended up, a whole lot differently where the bomb were to be real.

Lida was the MVP of the first round, since he was the only one who behaved with a mocidum of reason.

Before we knew it was our turn. Jiro and myself, against Ojiro and Kaminari.

...

"So what's the plan?" Jiro asked, as soon as we arrived in the building.

Ironically we were chosen as the villains in this particular match up. And, according to the rules we had about 5 minutes worth of prep time, before the match began.

I was leaning against a pillar near the faux bomb, waiting patiently for the match to start.

The bomb was on the top floor of the building, giving us a lot of distance to work with in the upcoming battle. I raised an 'eyebrow' at my partner.

"How good are you at fighting?" I asked.

"Eh… Decent?" She said unconvincingly.

"All right then you go after Kaminari and try to catch him off guard, I'll go after the Tail guy-" "Ojiro." Jiro corrected me.

I snapped my fingers and pointed at her with a nod and a grin. "Yeah him, after that we just tie them up and we're good." I finished looking at my partner who was now giving me a strange look.

"Can I help you?" I asked, after a beat.

"Isn't the plan kind of... simple?" She said.

"Hm... I admit it's a bit bare bones, but our quirks are mostly supportive in nature. It's why I learned how to fight. Kaminari should initially go easy on you, which should give me time to take out Ojiro and assist you with Kaminari."

" Wait, why would kaminari go easy on me? " She asked in confusion.

I then proceed to give my partner the greatest of deadpans, before smacking my forehead. I dragged my hand down my face, staring intently at her.

" Oh that, it's because he obviously has a crush on you. Don't tell me you haven't noticed."

How she managed to miss Electro-boy eyeing her like a piece of candy, was truly a mystery. Ever since we started classes he would always get that dumb look on his face whenever he was looking at her.

My partner paused for a moment and then shuffled, a hint of a blush appearing on her face, " I didn't know okay, and why are you that observant anyway!? "

I raised an eyebrow. " So, it's my fault I noticed something so obvious?"

"Yes… uh no? ... Sorry." My partner apologized, embarrassed.

After a moment of awkward silence, Jiro spoke again. "Wait, what about the bomb? No one's going to be here to defend it if we're both out fighting."

" There's only two of them, so in this case the best defense is an offense. We know they're coming here. So, we just ambush them on the 4th floor. That sound good?" I asked, getting a quiet yes in return.

"Alright!" All Might announced over the seekers, startling us. "Team F and Team I, your time starts now!"

I gave my partner a small nod before dashing off, the element of surprise was my greatest asset right now, and it was time to use it.

I dashed through the corridors that made up the top floor and found my way to the main stairwell.

As I crashed through the doors I grabbed the railing and flung myself down the fourth floor.

When my feet hit the concrete I turned around and flung open the door. I took a basic stance and threw one of my smoke bombs down to the bottom floor.

I moved through the hallways of the bottom floor, always taking a few seconds to look around corners and be as quiet as possible.

After roughly fifteen seconds the sound of running caught my attention.

I carefully peeked around the corner to see Ojiro running down the hall with Kamminari behind him, struggling to keep up.

I pulled my arm back a bit and tensed it like a snake waiting to pounce. They ran halfway past the hallway when I stuck, grabbing Ojiro's, leg before reeling him back towards my body as fast as I could.

I barely managed to catch a glimpse of a panicked look on Kamminari's face before removing a second smoke bomb and throwing it at him.

I pulled Ojiro up towards the third floor before whipping him past me and into the main area of said story.

The tailed teen smacked face first into a wall before falling limp and landing on the floor like a rag doll. I walked over to his limp form with a bit worry.

"You conscious?" I hesitantly asked, wanting to make sure I didn't concuss him. It wouldn't look good if I accidentally caused brain damage to one of my classmates. The guy had a tail as a quirk, so I was still unsure of the level of force required to not injure him too badly.

I reached out to move him when, before I could even blink, I felt 100 pounds of muscles slam into me.

I discreetly turned my lungs and most of my internal organs to sludge, and quickly fixed the damage that hit had caused by the time I slammed into the ground.

Feigning injury I groaned in pain and as I got my feet under me I saw Ojiro running pass me, making a beeline towards the door, probably thinking I was already out of the count and didn't need to be restrained.

But before he could even grasp the handle I stretched out the capture tape around my neck and wrapped it around him.

With all of his limbs bound and unable to move Ojiro didn't have a chance at escaping. The capturing weapon was already tough on its own, and could withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure. It was made from carbon fibers and a special metal alloy.

As useful a weapon as it was it still took Aizawa years to develop and master it because he had to learn from scratch without a teacher.

Thankfully since I already infused it with my sludge which made it way easier to have control over it. I managed to skip years of training.

I quickly used the capture tape given to us for the training excercise and wrapped it around my classmate's body. With him officially eliminated from the training excercise. I dropped him on the ground and began to walk towards the exit.

"Well that was fun, now if you excuse me I'm going to-" "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" A feminine shriek cut me off, "-check on my partner..." I trailed off in a dead drone.

I opened the door and stretched the capture weapon to the floor above me where the scream emanated form.

As I pulled myself up to the railing I saw that the door there was already open, and inside I could see a Kamminari writhing on the floor holding his ears in pain, and it looked he was about to use his quirk since he was already starting to sparkle.

Not wanting to deal with being shocked by thousands of volts of electricity I whipped the capturing weapon towards my teammate, pulling her out of the room before slamming the door shut with my other arm.

"What happened?" I asked in a hurried tone.

" He was being an idiot so I blasted him with my quirk, while he was busy blathering." She said.

" So, you mean to tell me he won't be able hear anything for the next few minutes?" I asked.

At her sheepish nod, I sighed.

I didn't know if I should be upset that my quirk was essentially useless for the rest of this fight, or glad I had already forseen situations such as these happening. Luckily I had already prepared for such inevitabilities by training and gaining more power.

I suddenly felt a strange sensation, like that feeling you get when the hairs on your neck suddenly stand up.

I immediately jumped up to evade whatever it was about to hit me, and looked behind me only to find Kamminari cloaked in electricity.

" Damn, I was sure that was going to hit you." He said in clear exhaustion. I could see him struggling to maintain his output, since I remembered from the manga he had an issue with control and would tend to let it all out and overload his brain in the process.

Weirdly enough his problems didn't seem as severe as they did in the manga, which made sense. This was the real world and there were bound to be differences than what was shown in a shounen manga. Also it would have been extremely unlikely he would have passed the exams if he didn't have some type of control.

As soon as my feet hit floor though I dashed towards him, intending on taking him out before he used his quirk once more.

I threw a smoke pellet at the ground by Kaminari and Jiro, smoke rose up, enveloping them.

I rushed into the smoke, not even three seconds later the sounds of grunting, punches and kicks were heard.

Kaminari went flying out of the smoke and bounced off the wall before falling onto the floor.

Kaminari grunted when he crashed into the wall, he let out an angry cry before he charged into the smoke getting ready to use his quirk.

He wildly activated his quirk, hoping to hit me with an electric shock. But, My right hand blurred into motion, slamming my palm on the underside of his jaw.

The light in his eyes faded. I stepped aside as he collapsed to the ground, out cold.

I sighed, giving one last glance to Kamminari before binding him with capture tape.

The match was officially over.
