As I was taking my nap, the door to the classroom burst open, causing me to wake up.
I knew exactly who it was without even having to look at them. Bakugo, Izuku's childhood 'friend/bully'.
Whilst his short fuse scared a lot of people, I found it annoying, the bastard would always end up disturbing my sleep, while I was at school.
The teacher, who was sat at his desk, sighed as Bakugo stormed over and plopped down onto his seat, grumbling about something.
"Now that everyone is here, there's something I need to talk to you all about before the end of homeroom." the teacher said as he stood up from his desk, drawing our attention.
"Since you're all third years, it's time for you to think seriously about your future. I'll pass out handouts for your future plans now, but...you're all...pretty much planning to go into the hero course, right?."
All the class except for Bakugo, Izuku and I started celebrating. Firing off their quirks in the middle of class.
He picked up the pile of sheets he was talking about and began to flick through them. "Yes, yes you got some very impressive quirks but no power usage allowed in school. Get ahold of yourselves." He said.
"To hell with what these losers want to do!" Bakugo yelled, slamming his fists on the table as he sprung back to his feet. "Everyone knows that almost no one gets into U.A. You have to be smart and incredibly powerful. "
"Oh, if I remember correctly, you want to go to U.A. High, right, Bakugo?." The teacher asked.
"I'm not gonna be stuck at the bottom with the rest of these rejects! That's why I'm the only one applying for U.A, because we all know I'm the only one capable of getting in." Bakougo said.
"But you aren't the only one applying to U.A." the teacher replied. "Midoriya & Shinso are applying as well."
Everyone's eyes suddenly focused on Midoriya and me. Izuku kept his head down and his eyes on his desk, I on the other hand was trying to take my nap, unconcerned by this whole thing.
Bakougo immediately focused on Midoriya.
The sheer amount of unadulterated rage, made him forget about me, and focus on Midoriya.
He stalked over to Izuku, grabbing him by the collar and hauling him to his feet, before forcing him against the back wall a few rows away.
"Deku, I hope for your sake I heard that wrong.You're even worse than these damn rejects, you quirkless wannabe. You really think they'll let someone like you in when they can have me?!" Bakugo yelled.
"N-no, you h-heard right. Kacchan! It's not like I'm trying to compete with you or anything! Believe me! It's just that it's been my goal ever since I was little. And well...I won't know unless I try…." Izuku stuttered out.
"You'll never be able to hang with the best of the best, you'll die in the exams, defenseless Izuku. The school's already crappy. You really want to embarrass it more by failing so hard." Bakougo said.
Bakougo then turned towards me," And you Half-Asleep Bastard! Don't even think about applying. There's no way U.A will accept a guy with a shitty quirk like yours. " He yelled.
There was a slight lapse of silence, as the class awaited my response.
One of the students suddenly spoke up,
" Bakougo, Uh...I think he's asleep."
...
Izuku was thinking about what Bakougo said to him as he was walking back home.
Bakougo had just torched his notebook on heroes saying that because he was quirkless, it was impossible for him to become a hero.
He was feeling slightly depressed, which caused him to be caught off guard when the villain attacked.
Izuku suddenly heard a sinister growling voice, "Hey let me borrow your body, will ya?" a voice snapped him out of his thoughts, "Sorry kid, it'll just hurt for a little while, and then it'll all be over."
And all of a sudden, he was engulfed in sludge as it seeped into his mouth and went down his throat, he was being slowly suffocated, moments away from passing out.
He couldn't scream for help, he couldn't fight back, all he could do was futily resist as he gasped for air, his mind growing foggy by the second.
The lack of Oxygen made his limbs go numb, his eyes roll to the back of his head. And then…
Everything turned black.
Izuku awoke with a small pain on his right cheek, like someone was slapping him at an incredible speed.
Izuku then heard a familiar voice up to calling out him. "Hey, hey, boy, wake up, hey–"
"I'm up, I'm u-" Izuku said, thinking that it was his own mother waking him up but in fact, as the memories of what happened he saw,
"ALL MIGHT!"
"Oh, you're awake! That's great!" All Might said as he stood up from his previously crouching position. "I was worried that you might've been badly injured!"
"But I see that you're fine now! So I will go! If you should still be feeling unwell, I would advise you to go to the nearest hospital!" All Might said as he turned around, preparing to jump.
"C-could yo-" Izuku stuttered, as he tried to ask him to sign his notebook.
All Might raised his hand out to stop him.
"Already did, my boy! Well, if you are okay, then I must be on my way!" All Might said bending down preparing to jump away.
All Might then leaped into the air soaring past several building as he flew across the city.
However, something felt off, like he had just again 180 pounds on his legs, he turned his head to see the boy from before clutching his right leg and holding on for dear life.
..
"That was pretty reckless of you kid." All Might scowled as Izuku began to cough up the large amounts of bugs he had just swallowed while mid-air.
"Make sure to knock the door till someone lets you out." All Might finished as he turned to leave yet again.
"Can someone Quirkless like me even become a hero?" Izuku blurted out, before he could jump away.
All Might turned back to face Izuku, his normal smile gone.
"I am sorry. Truly I am, but no. I don't think you can become a hero, but there are other professions that are plenty heroic, like becoming a policemen or becoming part of the fire service, even with the existence of heroes they are still important and great professions." All Might explained in an unusual sympathetic voice.
"Now I must be off." He said as he jumped away, leaving Izuku in a state of shock.
Suddenly Izuku heard a loud explosion to the west of him. "A villain, I wonder which hero will show." He muttered.
..
Once Izuku got closer he noticed that none of the heroes were actually fighting the Villain, just keeping damage control. Apparently none of their Quirks were right for the situation.
Izuku didn't pay much attention, he wanted to see what the sludge villain was doing, it had another person...
Izuku's feet moved on its own, he ran past the pros and into the alleyway, he saw Bakugou who was being attacked by the same sludge villain that All Might had previously captured.
With no heroes around able to fight the villain, Izuku rushed in, launching his backpack at the villain causing him to wince a bit.
" Kachaan!!! I'll save you!"
