22 Chapter Twenty-Two

[P.O.V. Adriana Braxton]

Holding hands with Zyston as we go down the stairs to meet our guess. Entering the front room, two guys with dark brown hair, dark brown eyes with a silver ring around the Iris, about 6,4 tall, and muscle bodies. We're in the front room, one sitting on the sofa—the other standing by the window looking outside. I and my uncontrollable mouth made them look at Zyston and me.

"Another set of identical twins?" My voice coming out a little more surprised and excited, then I wanted it to. The men look at us; the one on the couch starts to speak.

"Actually, we're not twins were identical triplets," Couch guy says.

"Yea, are other trippy isn't here yet." Window guys say. He starts walking towards me with a Playboy smile. "Who is this beautiful woman Zyston?"

"This beautiful woman is my Mate. So if you even touch my Luna, I will break your arm, Gilo." Zyston threatens the window guy making him stop walking towards us.

"After all these year's you finally found your Mate?" Couch guy asks, all surprised.

"And you got this goddess of a woman?" Window guy, now known as Gilo, asks. With his eyes all huge, looking like they're about to burst. This is starting to make me feel uncomfortable. Zyston feeling my discomfort.

"Put your eyes back in your head! You're making her feel uncomfortable." Zyston growls out. Gilo apologizes and takes a seat next to the couch guy. "That better, Adriana; these are the brothers of one of my good friends. You already know Gilo; the other is Milo." Giving them a small wave.

"Don't let him make feel uncomfortable. Gilo here doesn't know what it likes to have a Mate out of us three brothers." Milo says.

"Who needs a mate? I'm perfectly fine being the irresponsible playboy that I am." Gilo says. Milo rolls his eyes.

"Anyway.. we came here for business. Is there somewhere we can talk?" Hearing this makes hope sweep in me. Maybe I can finally learn what's going on.

"We could talk in my office," Zyston says. That right there just killed the hope I had.

"Oh, no, you can't." Women's voice says. Looking at the entryway, Kat walks in. "Offices are being clean right now. While there being cleaned, you have to talk with your guests here. Adri, Joel, and I are going for a run in the meantime.

"A run?" I ask all quizzical. I really don't want to go for a run. What I do want is some information.

"Yes, a run." She gives me a look to go along with it.

"Oh.. a run, I would love to go for a run." Playing along with her. Zyston facial expression didn't look too convinced. After a few minutes, he sighs.

"Stay close to the packhouse. There a lot going on right now," Zyston says.

"Of course, we won't be too long, and we won't go too far," Kat says, grabbing my hand, dragging me out of the front room. Closing the front room doors behind her. Instead of going out the front door, we go to the hall that leads to the pack offices.

"Exactly, what are we doing?" Asking Kat.

"Before I tell you anything, I want you to block that Mate bond." Doing as she asks. "Done?"

"Yes, it's blocked."

"I'm tired of the secrets and lies. Something going on, and we're going to find out." Kat says with determination. Going around a corner where the Alpha, Beta, and Delta office were. Jolene was in the hallway, waiting for us.

"About time you guys get here; the boys won't be distracted for long," Jolene says worriedly.

"Calm down, Joel, we are here now... Okay, so the plan is to enter our own Mates offices and search for them. If you find anything, take pictures with your phone. We don't have much time before our distractions for them are done. So everybody ready?" Kat asks.

"How exactly do you plan on getting in? The doors are locked." Asking them.

"Not unless you have a copy of the keys." Kat hands me the key to the Alpha office... "No more talking. I will explain later, now go." Going into our mates offices, we searched around.

I have wanted to search his office for a long time now. Now that I'm actually doing it, my heart feels like it will burst from how hard it is pounding from the adrenaline and the anxiety of getting caught.

"Well, it should. This is totally wrong! We shouldn't be here! Trust our mate, Adriana. He has never lied or broken a promise to us. He will tell us to give it some time." Raina says worriedly. Ignoring my wolf continuing the search.

His office looked like any billionaire office. Nice wooden desk and filing cabinets. Couches around a coffee table, fireplace, and really nice and clean.

Searching his desk, he had a picture of us from the night of the bonfire on our first date. Sitting in a beautiful frame on his desk.

"Please don't do this! Turn back now!" Raina begging me.

"No, I want information, and we're getting it."

"We're? There is no we're in this. You do this all on your own; I can't entirely agree with this." Pushing Raina back in my mind continuing to look through the Alpha office.

I searched through all his files, and there was nothing but all his company business papers. After finding nothing, the girls and I leave our mates offices.

~(Three months later[April)~

These last three months have been crazy. I am the official Luna of this pack now. After my ceremony, our pack has been attacked every two weeks, then one week, and now we get attacked unexpectedly because of all these attacks, all the young women of this pack. The pack's high-rank women have to train along with the men pack members and high-rank men. Zyston has also called for back up with some alliances he has made over the years. Making the packhouse even more crowded.

As for the girls and I are still searching for the information our Mates are hiding. We have still found nothing; we have searched the offices multiple times. Searched the whole packhouse and even Zyston house, still nothing.

There's only one room left to search. It's the conference room in the packhouse. That's where Katrina, Jolene, and I are looking around.

The conference room is beautiful. Different old paintings of werewolves and dragons hung on the walls. The table was made out of the dark green glass with black office chairs surrounding it. Behind the table was a small upstairs platform. Behind this platform was a huge color stain window of the moon goddess. Lying in a forest with the moon shining high. Laying behind her is a huge black dragon with silver. Also lying next to her is two werewolves. One pitch black, and the other was light grey with white stockings on its paws. The Black wolf wore a King crown on his head, and the light grey wolf has a Queen crown on her head. The dragon wore some kind of medal around his neck.

The werewolves look a lot like Travis and Raina. 'Does that mean the dragon is Stryker?' After being with Zyston this whole time. I still have not met his dragon or really know much about him.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Kat says in awe. Kat and Joel stand next to me, looking up at it.

"Yes, indeed.." Saying quietly.

"It's been here since my father was alive," Kat says sadly. "Before it was the packhouse, it uses to be my brothers and my childhood home... He died when Zyston and I were five years old... The one memory I do have of him is Zyston, and I would come in here. Before it became the conference room, it uses to be my father's office. Right here in front of the window, he had an old antique chair. Zyston and I would sit on his lap, and he would tell us stories." Tear slip down her face.

"My favorite one was about this picture window. It tells a tale how the Moon Goddess chooses her first King and Queen, how she made the dragon the guardian for the Queen." She walked towards the window and rested her hand on it.

"The story goes that Moon Goddess was tired and lonely, running her Kingdom all alone. She told all her children that she would choose a King to help rule her Kingdom. Only her best male Warrior would be able to compete. This went on for days and nights until one wolf won. After he had won, the Moon Goddess chooses him as her King.

A couple of years went by; the King got lonely, wanting a Queen to rule by his side. Mother Moon loved her King and didn't want him to be lonely. She threw another tournament for the one who will be his Queen. All-female werewolves and dragons came to compete to win the King. They fought their best, and after three nights, the Queen was chosen. Not only was she chosen for her King company but to help rule. To help the future Queen, Mother Moon gave the she-wolf some of her powers to help with ruling the Kingdom.

Year's went by the King wanted his Queen to be closer to him. Something to help her understand she was not only for his company or to help him rule. He wants her to understand what she truly means to him.

The Queen felt like she was useless to her King. She felt that he only wanted her for his bed and to help him rule. All she wanted in return was him to love her.

Mother Moon heard her King and Queen sorrow howls. Mother Moon wanted to help them when she created the Mate Bond to help her King and Queen and gift to all her children.

Their bond became stronger, and they became happier. Over the years of happiness a threat, threaten the Kingdom and their King and Queen. The King was scared for his Queen, so he prayed to the Moon Mother. Begging for some way to protect his Queen when he couldn't.

Moon Mother heard his prayer and sent one of her guardians to protect the Queen.

But the threat was too great and wiped out the Kingdom along with the King and Queen. What remained of the Kingdom the Moon Goddess made a promise that the King and Queen will rise again to rebuild the Kingdom. When they do, they will be stronger than their enemy, strong enough that they will bring their enemy down." Katrina finishes the story with a strong and intense passion and belief.
