27 Chapter Twenty-Seven

[P.O.V. Zyston Woods]

Laying on the bed with Adriana with her on her back and me on my side. Listening to her talk also admiring my mark on her; it was a dreamcatcher. With my initials and family crest in the feathers. Inside the dreamcatcher was a half-wolf and dragon face. Coming together, making a whole face, and the background was a forest.

"Zyston?.." Adriana asks my name, really quiet.

"Yes, Little Light." Answering back.

"The Warlock I killed.. he said something I wanted to talk about."

"What did he tell you?" Telling me the long riddle he told her.

The only thing is it not a riddle but a prophecy. The same one, my Father, use to tell me. Only back then, I thought it was a riddle until my mother taught me it wasn't.

"It not a riddle Adriana, it's the prophecy about the new Kingdom rising. The small five Kingdom's are the five towns that surround Raven City. The heart of the Kingdom is Raven City itself... Have you ever heard of the story of how the Moon Mother chose her King?" She nods her head, yes. "Well, there are five other stories similar to it. They all go along with this prophecy. This prophecy also talks about King's and Queen's." 'How do I tell her that we are?' asking myself.

"Don't worry, babe, I figured out that we are the reborn King and Queen." She says shyly but also a little confident. Well, that took me by surprise at the same time gave me and my beasts a wave of relief.

"Really?" Was the only word I could utter out. She nods her head, yes. "Then you do know that we have a lot of work to do? We got to finish gathering up our armies, Making war strategies, Getting all the King's and Queen's together, and a whole bucket list of things to do." Telling her, she presses her chest against mine and looks into my eyes.

"Don't worry. I'll be by your side the whole way." She smiles brightly while biting her lip.

"Fuck, I love you." Slamming my lips to her. It makes me proud knowing my Mate has accepted her role in this life. The little time she has had to accept impressed me. Not because I doubt her because I don't. It's a fact of how fast she has accepted with the time itself.

"I love you too.," Adriana says in heavy breaths. Pressing her lips against mine, we end up having sex again.

[P.O.V. Adriana Braxton]

Getting dressed, Zyston, and I went downstairs. Meeting with everyone that plays a huge part in this coming war. Talking about war things and what to expect from now on. I also got to meet Shiloh, formally also found out Milo, Gilo, and he is my guardian.

After talking for hours, everyone left the pack conference room. All beside Zyston, Katrina, and me. She was looking awfully sad. I know Tyler has been hard on her after what we did. Thought they would have worked it out by now, like Jolene and I have with our mates. Zyston gathering up the rest of some papers he grabs my hand.

"Ready?" He asks

"I'm going to stay for a minute. I'll catch up with you." Telling Zyston, he sees where I'm looking.

"Alright, see you at dinner." He kisses my cheek and leaves. Sitting next to Kat, she sighs deeply.

"I screwed up big time Adri, Tyler really mad. Haven't seen him this mad since like hundred and sixty-five years ago." Kat says sadly.

"Come on; he can't be that mad if Zyston and Joseph can forgive Jolene and me. Then certainly, he can forgive you."

"They're something I haven't told anyone until recently... I am a month and one week pregnant."

"You mean you went into battle while being pregnant?" My voice coming out a little harsh.

"Please don't get mad; Tyler mad at me already. I don't want you to be mad too."

"Why shouldn't I be Kat? Hell! Tyler has every damn right to be mad, Kat!... If I were pregnant with Zyston child, I wouldn't be out on the damn battlefield!... Your lucky; you can even have a child and to treat it as it didn't matter!" I am so damn mad right now! She was lucky she could have children. I would do anything to be able to give Zyston a child one day. The thing is, I can't. I am one of those women who can't have children.

Kat was surprised I couldn't have children. We argued for a few more minutes until I couldn't handle it anymore. Leaving Kat in the conference room, I went straight to Zyston and my room. Blocking the mate bond for all I want right now is to be alone.

[P.O.V. Zyston Woods]

Waiting for Adriana to come into the dining room for dinner. Kat walks in alone I could tell she been crying.

"Where Adriana, Katrina?" Asking my twin. That when she mind-linked me and told me, they fought. Even told me what it was about and after finding out. I went to look for my Mate; the first place I look at was at the pack grounds. Then I looked up in our bedroom. She was lying on the bed under the covers, crying.

Lying behind her holding her tight to me. Her sobs quiet down; she pokes her head out of the cover for some air.

"What's wrong, Little Light?" Asking Adriana. She turns around in my arms, looking at me with tear-stained eyes.

"I'm sorry... I'm so useless.." She starts to cry again. " I can never give you a child... When I heard, what Kat did make me so angry.." Hugging her tight to me, letting her get it all out of her system.

"You are not useless. I don't ever want to hear you that again." 'Is she crazy? She everything to me, why would even think this?' "There also other ways to have a family together, Adriana." Trying to comfort her.

"You really mean that?" Her voice cracks. Wiping the tears off her face and moving her hair out of her face. Looking into each other eyes, I can see the rawness in hers.

"With all my heart and soul." She places her hand on my cheek and plays with my beard.

"We're waiting till after this war, though... Is that okay?"

"Whenever your ready, Little Light." She places her lips on mine. It was a tender kiss, not like our usual crazy and hot sex kisses.

"Your, the best."

"I know it's a curse." Saying in a playful tone. She kisses me, and this time it was heating up. Pulling my lips away are breaths slightly heavy. "We should go eat something everybody down there can't eat without us being down there. Unless you want to make, they starve some more? I mean, we could do other things." Giving her the playful eyebrow. She smacks me hard on the chest, making me laugh hard.

"Is that all you think about?" She says, rolling her eyes playfully.

"If I had it my way, we would be having sex all the time. It also how we would die together." She smacks me one more time and rolls off the bedfast.

"Your such a pervert, and if you want sex, you are going to have to catch me first." She stands in front of the bedroom door with her hands behind her back, holding onto the doorknob.

"Oh, Little Light, never challenge an Alpha because I will win." Telling her with promise.

"Prove it." She opens the bedroom door and takes off down the hall. Jumping off the bed, I chase her down the hall into the kitchen.

Everybody was laughing at us as I chased her around. She stands on the other side of the table and runs out the back door into the backyard.

"Does this mean we can eat?" Tyler asks while yelling. Ignoring all of them chasing her down into the forest. Tracking her footprints, leading me to a pile of clothes and wolf prints.

She only made this game of hers more exciting. Stripping my clothes off and putting them next to hers. Shifting into Travis's wolf form, we follow her tracks and scent.

Catching up to her scent and tracks, she has hidden somewhere. Looking around in the bushes, I could see a little bit of her wolf. Pretending to pass her after a little distance, sneaking in the bushes and trees.

She sticks her head out of the bushes, looking for me. Waiting a few minutes, she sneaks out of the bushes; that when I pounced on her. Our wolves were playing with one another for a few minutes. Until I pinned her down to the ground, licking her face. Looking at her for a few minutes giving her a wolfish grin.

"Told you I would win." Telling her with pride through our mate bond mind-link.

"That not fair! How did you even know where I was?" She says pouty.

"Years of tracking." Her giving me a 'hmm' sound. "Don't pout little light. It too cute now, you challenge me, and I won."

"Alright, let go back to the packhouse." She gets up from underneath me and walks a little bit, then turns her head back at me. "Are we going?"

"I never said I wanted to go back to the packhouse."

"Oh,.. and where do you want to have sex then?" She asks curiously.

"Shift, and I will tell you."

"Are you crazy? I will be naked. What if someone sees me?"

"Don't worry. I will protect you from the perverted forest animal's." I couldn't help but chuckle at her. Rolling her eyes at me, she shifts back to her human form, as do I.

"Now, tell me." She demands, Standing in front of her with our bodies pressing against each other. Holding her tight to me with one arm while the other stroke her cheek.

"Right here, underneath the stars." Slamming my lips to hers, kissing her deeply and passionately. Leading us to make love underneath the stars with the moon shining brightly.
