21 Stay with me at night

His eyes had changed back to a very gentle, sea-like azure.

He was still wearing his white shirt, which was unbuttoned at this point, revealing a sliver of his collarbone.

They were very close, so close that Letitia could hardly breathe.

She felt Joshua's nice scent enveloping her, wrapping her up tightly. She felt so warm inside these scents that she couldn't help but want to relax.

Joshua's eyes held a smile. He had Letitia resting on one of his arms, one hand constantly playing with the hair around her ear.

The sun shone on her pale skin with a hazy, soft shimmer. This kind of shimmer is very easy to make one's heart flutter.

Joshua couldn't help but lower his head and nibble her lips.

It was a very tender and lingering kiss, and it all happened so naturally.

Letitia couldn't help but lift her chin to meet the kiss. When it was over, Letitia let out a small gasp and Joshua pressed his lips against hers like a well-fed beast, one after the other, as if he was passing the time or giving vent to his possessiveness.

"You have a very special aroma." Joshua sniffed from side to side, he liked the aroma, not in the sense that he liked to smell it, but in the sense that it calmed his restlessness.

He lowered his head and his tone was light and gentle, "Do you like it when I kiss you?"

Letitia bit her lip, she didn't know how to answer. But she was now lying on Joshua's arm, and Joshua's other hand was stroking her long hair. She gathered the courage to nod, her voice soft, like flower petals falling to the ground: "... I like."

The two were as close on the bed as if they had learned to kiss for the first time as if simply to practice kissing.

After a long time had passed again, Joshua finally got up and left the bed satisfied.

He had a very rare good night's sleep last night.

He remembered that his blood was boiling, his emotions were agitated, and a myriad of painful emotions assaulted him. He had lost his mind and was struggling and had no idea where he was.

But a familiar sweet scent suddenly wafted into his dream and easily calmed his anger.

He smiled at Letitia and said, "It's been a long time since I slept this well, and it's all thanks to you."

Letitia was still in bed, clutching the covers very shyly.

He sat on the edge of the bed and deliberately asked her, "Would you still like to sleep with me tonight? In this bed."

That's an evocative thing to say.

He knew full well that sober-elves could not refuse him, but he always deliberately asked Letitia's opinion on such matters.

He suddenly realized one thing.

After meeting Letitia, he would deliberately tease her in certain small things. His gentlemanly demeanour was completely gone because he just loved Letitia's nervous and shy look.

Letitia pursed her lips, feeling that it was wrong to nod and wrong not to nod.

Subconsciously, she wanted to nod her head. It felt good to sleep with Joshua, to keep her from having nightmares, and even to dream very sweet dreams.

Joshua saw her torn and stroked her face with his fingers, moving intimately and gently: "It's settled, you'll come back with me first in the evening."

He even had the leisure to watch Letitia wash up, and was very satisfied to see the little girl clean up her hair neatly.

The two of them ate breakfast together. Today Joshua taught her that two people are allowed to eat at the same table. Although Letitia subconsciously resisted, there was no one else in the room, and after breakfast was brought to the table, Joshua told all the servants to go downstairs.

He took Letitia to eat with himself at the table. When it was just the two of them, she could eat with herself at the table without having to lie on the floor and lick her plate like a puppy.

Although her licking of the plate is cute, it still doesn't change the fact that this behaviour looks pathetic.

Letitia herself is very reluctant. She was afraid to sit at the table, which had a very big psychological shadow on her. That sober-elves was knocked out with a taser she still remembers.

She is now not even sitting in a chair, let alone eating breakfast with Joshua, she would feel fidgety. That fear is engraved in her bones and makes her tremble.

But Joshua was very patient and ate the meal with her and shared his omelette with her.

After eating a meal in a fearful mood, Joshua spoke to her very seriously about the party.

He slowly told her about the nature of the party and described to her what the obnoxious Larkin Gerrard looked like, warning Letitia repeatedly to stay away from him.

Joshua demanded that she stay close to him no matter what, and not to leave his sight for half a step. He repeated the incident many times, and at this point, he looked very worried.

He is terrified that something will happen to Letitia if she leaves his sight.

Larkin Gerrard is a complete psychopath, he does things recklessly and cruelly. From a young age, the education he received in the Gerrard family was very radical.

His conflict with himself is so deep that if Letitia is left alone, she may be tormented by Larkin Gerrard.

Letitia heard the worry in his tone and listened very carefully to everything he said. The only person she could trust was Joshua, and she would stay close to Joshua no matter what.

But Letitia asked with some hesitation, "If we're going to the sober-elves holding room ...."

Joshua sighed in chagrin, the sober-elves holding room would just be too special. Most of the sober-elves at the party had to go to that holding room, there was no reason why his sober-elves wouldn't have to go to the holding room. But if Letitia did go to the holding room, he would be very worried because he couldn't see her.

He pulls out a remote control with a button on it. He tells Letitia that this thing is a tracker, and if Letitia is in danger, all she has to do is press it and he will receive the location immediately.

He said with a very serious expression that he would get to her side as fast as he could.
