20 twenty

After I had awoken from my nap I noticed that the couple next to me was asleep we still had at least twenty minutes left until I was back home.

My stomach cramped badly and I winced and gripped it. At that exact moment I knew exactly what was happening. My period had started and there were no bathrooms anywhere near.

I began to panic. I had never been in a situation like this! What do I do? I wish my mother was here.

I hadn't packed any pads or tampons since Levi didn't have any at the cabin. I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself. There was another stop before mine in 4 minutes, I can get off at there instead and catch a new bus to my home town.

I just hoped there wouldn't be a stain on the seat when I get up.

I patiently waited the 4 minutes until the bus stopped. I quickly got up and exited the bus, running to the first bathroom I saw. I locked the door behind me, put a few coins into the feminine box and got a tampon.

I. Was. Fucked.

My underwear was completely ruined and it stained my underwear. I grabbed as many napkins as I could and began to clean my thighs, in the process tears began to fall down my face. This was all too much for me.

I've never been off alone, adventuring like this ever.

I wiped my tears off and dried down my thighs with extra napkins and threw them all in the trash. I slipped my tampon in and grabbed a new fresh outfit. Sweat pants, a sweatshirt and black pair of underwear.

I washed my hands and as soon as I turnt the water off there were three loud knocks on the door. I jumped and flipped around.

"Naomi!" A voice called. A voice I knew.

I ran over to the door and opened it to reveal Amaya. I pulled her into the bathroom and shut the door. "How did you find me?!" I said in a quiet voice.

She crossed her arms, "Levi sent out all of his seekers to look for you in all the nearby towns. I was assigned this one and I caught onto your scent. You're bleeding.. were you hurt, Luna?"

I rolled my eyes. There's that title again. "Im just on my period. It came unexpectedly…" I paused, "are you going to take me back to him?"

She ran her hands down her face and walked past me, "Naomi, it's my duty to bring you back to Lev, it would be a crime to not return you to him."

How would I escape this now?

"Amaya please.. listen. Ever since Levi took me I've been abused physically, emotionally and mentally." I showed her the bruise on my neck and pulled down my sleeve to show her the bruise on my wrist. "He also marked me forcefully.."

Her mouth was agape.

"He even used the alpha command on me! You can't force me back into that.." I inhaled, "please just let me see my mother and have a little time to myself.. I'll return on my own I promise Amaya."

She ran her hands down her face. "Letting you go could get me in serious trouble, Omi." She said. "But fine. I understand why you left."

I sighed and nodded. I pulled her into a hug and squeezed her tightly. "Thank you so much. I won't forget this."

She pulled back and smiled. "Please stay safe Naomi." She grabbed a piece of toilet paper and pulled a pen from her back pocket, and wrote down something on it.

She handed me the toilet paper with a number on it, "this is my number, call me if you need absolutely anything."

We said our goodbyes and hugged once more before she left the bathroom.

I splashed my face with water, put my backpack back on and exited the bathroom. I scanned the area and it didn't appear to be any werewolves around. Nobody after me. I took a deep breath and walked around the town until I found a Walgreens.

I got a whole pack of tampons and pads and also bought a bigger back pack since the one I had was just two more water bottles away from popping.

I organized my things in my new bag and bought a small snack to hold me over until I could get home.

After I was finished I walked back to the bus stop and waiting there until the bus came. The sun was going down and it was beginning to get windy. Luckily the bus came soon and there were only a few people left on it.

It would've been nice to have Devy here to accompany me. Too bad I'd probably never run into her again. I got seated and looked out of the window. The trip was only about fifteen minutes. I smiled at the thought of seeing my mother again.

The trip went quick and I hopped off when it stopped. I shivered at the harsh wind blowing against me and began walking. I had no idea where I was going. It felt much like that dream I had where I was in the forest with Levi.

I kept walking for about ten more minutes and I was beginning to get frustrated. I sat down on and bench and huffed. I was already stressed out and me being on my period wasn't helping.

I set my face in my hands and sat there, trying to think of where I was and how to get back to my house.

A loud honk was heard to the side of me and I lifted my head. The car window rolled down and I saw Aaron's face poke out of it. "You look lost. Need some help?"

"Come on and get in sweetie, you look cold!" Devy spoke from the passengers seat.

My lord, this couple were my guardian angels. I set my backpack in the back seat and scooted in with it.

"Where to?" Aaron asked. I told him my address and let out a sigh of relief, "thank you guys so much, how could I repay you?"

Devy shook her head, "no dear, you don't have to repay us at all! If it were one of us I'm sure you'd help too. Also, it's freezing right now, we couldn't have just let you sit out there."

"I'm sorry for abandoning you guys on the bus. I had a.. accident and had to leave." I apologized nervously.

"No problem, Naomi, you don't have to apologized to us."

These were the nicest people I've met in awhile. Truly pure kindness. People like this don't come around often.

We soon reached my moms house and I thanked Aaron and Devy again before running out of the car and knocking on my door violently.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" A feminine voice called out. The door opened and my mom's face appeared.

I ran into her arms and hugged her as tightly as I could. She was so in shock that she didn't hug back til I began crying.

"Naomi!" She cried out. I had finally reunited with the one person I loved the most.
