30 Thirty

A few weeks passed and it was already time for the alpha meeting. Over the course of that time my heat only came back three times, which Levi was quick to settle down easily. It wasn't like he minded, and I was beginning to not care either.

I noticed my heat cycle was a lot like my period. It stopped for awhile, then when it came back it hit me like a hurricane. Except, when it came, it only lasted for less than an hour.

Levi and I were almost inseparable. Almost anytime he went to his office in the pack house I came and any other time we were just at home, usually sitting on the bed together, watching a show or movie and talking about everything.

I visited my mother back at the cabin occasionally. She lived there with the maid, Athena, who kept her company. To my surprise, she enjoyed her stay. She told me she had always wanted to live in a secluded cabin, far away from her annoying neighbors and issues.

It felt normal. For once, I felt a little at peace settling into this routine.

The week of the yearly meeting came quicker than expected and currently, Levi was packing my bag for me, tossing the clothes my mother packed for me into another luggage, gruffly. Our flight was later tonight but, he wanted to be prepared.

"You know, we can just take that luggage that's already pre-packed with my clothes instead of transferring them to another bag?" I suggested as I shrugged my shoulders at him and laid my chin on my curled up legs.

He halted and shook his head with a slight frown on his face, "no. You can take a different luggage. Not the one you were planning to escape me with."

I rolled my eyes when he wasn't looking and sighed. We sat in silence while he continued to transfer the clothes to the huge black luggage.

I noticed that his movements were becoming tougher and rougher every second before he finally snapped and threw one of my dresses on the floor, "hey!" I shouted and stood up from the bed.

"What's wrong with you?" I stomped over to him and picked up my sunflower dress, this was one of my favorites. I pouted before I saw a glimpse of his face, something truly was bothering him.

I leaned down and set my dress on floor while lifting his face up with my hand, although a part of me warned me to leave him be.

He pulled his head away and gripped his hair tightly in his fists. "Just the thought of you leaving and me not being able to see your face or hear your voice again haunts me every night, you know that right?"

I bit my lip and stayed silent, not knowing what to say in response.

"God knows I regret all of what I did. Every second of it but please, Naomi, you can't ever leave me." Levi looked back up at me again, this time with teary eyes. This was my first time ever seeing him this sad.

"I need you." He added onto his sentence, making my heart swell and my cheeks grow red.

I nodded my head, "I won't leave." And I meant it. Levi was trying to change, and I respect it. I wasn't going to throw myself at him and forgive him immediately but I will give him the time and chance to try to earn my trust.

We sat in silence before I took a deep breath and said, "but if you ever decide to throw my sunflower dress on the floor, we're going to have major issues." I jokingly said with one eyebrow raised. We both busted out into laughter and the awkwardness in the air was gone immediately.

Levi finished packing his and my luggages, even though I offered to help multiple times and I decided to throw on my black sunflower dress with some gold sandals that my mother graciously gave me. It was really nice to finally dress up formally since recently I hadn't been wearing much other than shorts, leggings and t-shirts.

I was even able to apply some light make up, which I usually don't do. But hey, if I was going to be surrounded by werewolves, why not dress up?

When I walked out of the bathroom I was greeted by Levi, wearing his light brown shorts and a dark black button up. Every single inch of this man's body was absolutely perfect, no doubt about it.

"You look absolutely beautiful Naomi ," he smiled at me. I shrugged and twirled around in my dress before saying, "you're not too bad yourself, Alpha."

He gave me a sly smirk before looking down at his watch and nodding, "it's time for us to go. Your mother is waiting downstairs for you, you should say your goodbyes." We parted our ways as he went into the master bedroom to get our luggages and i went downstairs to see my mom.

My mother had a saddened look in her eyes but her smile threw me off. She sat up from the couch and made her way over to me, engulfing me in a tight hug. I had never traveled without my parents before, or at least not willingly.

"Please. Be safe, baby," my mother whispered. "I will, I promise mom. I'll be back before you know it. Don't do anything crazy while I'm gone okay?" I gave her a serious look in which she return and shrug, "no promises."

We both had a laugh before Levi came down the steps with two large suitcases in ease. His strength will always amaze me.

"Have a safe flight," she gave a stern face to Levi and nodded her head at him to which he returned the favor and walked out the door. I followed him out quickly, too afraid that if I stayed longer I wouldn't be able to leave her.

There was a black limo pulled up in the driveway, similar to the one we arrived in along with a older driver standing next to the open door. I slid into the car and immediately welcomed the cool air that blew onto me.

Levi came in through the other way and sat on the other side of the limo and with that, we made our way to our flight and it was funny.

All I could think about was how I wanted him to be right next to my side.
