13 thirteen

As we began to walk toward the doctors office I tried to calm myself down. I was having trouble figuring out my emotions at the moment. I was angry, sad, scared, confused.

I wanted to ask him so many questions. Like what the hell happened back there, why were we headed to a doctors office, was his wolf gonna seriously come out every time he even remotely got angry? If so, I knew I'd have to get out of here quicker than expected.

I wanted to ask all those questions but, I was so afraid that he throw me up against a brick wall and choke up again or even worse, cuff me up in a room and do God knows what to me. I wouldn't know if he was giving me empty threats or not til I push him too far, which I will not be doing.

I lifted my hand up to touch my sore neck and winced when a sharp pain spread throughout the area. Levi looked down at me sadly, and turnt away quickly when my eyes met his. He regretted it. He regretted hurting me. He was guilty.

I was going to use that feeling to my advantage.

We soon approached the front desk where a older woman and younger woman stood. The girl looked to be around my age, seventeen or eighteen while the older woman had to be in her late fifties.

The younger girl's eyes sparkled as soon as they landed on Levi. It angered me. I wanted to bang her head right into the front desk until she realized her where her place was.

I took a deep breath and calmed my racing heart. What was that?

I couldn't tell if it was the pent up anger from the past events making me think that or if it was actual jealousy that made me act out. Either way I knew I did not like this girl at all.

"Good afternoon Alpha, Luna. What can I help you with?" The older woman had a huge smile on her face, so pleased to serve her so-called Alpha.

"Good afternoon, Romona, Charlotte." He addressed both of them, "I have a scheduled appointment for my mate." He sternly replied. It always made me cringe when he acted like that around everyone.

The woman began to type on the computer on the desk. We all stood there in awkward silence before the younger girl broke the silence.

"So, alpha, I believe you're aware my eighteenth birthday wasn't too long ago and I just wanted to see if we could talk about my first shift?" Her voice was high pitched, but not too much to where you'd get annoyed from it. It passed me off either way though.

"Yes, of course, I remember. I've lately been.. busy.. so I haven't gotten the time to talk to you. But, tomorrow I'll be picking up some paperwork from the pack house. Talk to me then." He replied. I noticed that his demeanor wasn't as professional when he focused on her.

I scoffed at the thought of him liking her. She's not his type, she's not me. It would be ridiculous for him to go after a girl like her.

That was the moment I realized that she and I have very similar features. We both had brown hair, brown eyes, pink pouty lips. I furrowed my eyebrows crossed my arms.

She was his type.

My thoughts were interrupted by Charlotte's aggravating voice. "And maybe after that talk I could take you out to my fathers new bakery. We have delicious sweets! I'm sure you'd really enjoy it, Alpha." Charlotte seductively asked before she but her lip.

"Well-"

I cut him off by letting out a huff at her lame attempt of getting in his pants. Levi noticed this and looked at me before quickly reverting his gaze back to Charlotte.

"Actually, yea. I'm not that busy. I can check it out. I'm sure it'll take a lot of stress off my shoulders." He replied to her with a smirk in his face.

Was this a joke? He wasn't seriously going out with that girl, right?

Charlotte nodded her head eagerly. "Yes alpha, I'm know to be a big stress reliever."

Now that was my last straw, I opened my mouth to say something but before I could, the doctor walked in and smiled at us.

"Hello, I'm doctor Harris. I'm here to help you take your fertility test, Luna." He kindly said. He looked pretty young, just like everyone else in this pack.

I furrowed my eyebrows, confused and looked at Levi. He looked down at me with a knowing look. "You said you'd cooperate and take the fertility test if I let you out of the cuffs, did you not?"

I groaned. I hate making promises. I snatched my head out of Levi's and began to stomp my way over to the doctor before he pulled me back and growled.

"But, I never said you had to take it with a male doctor." He turned his head to Romona. "I want to help her do it."

My eyes widened and I shook my head, "no, I can do it myself."

He gave me a death stare that made me immediately keep quiet. The entire room went cold under his dominant vibe.

Doctor Harris cleared his throat and stepped up. "Alpha. I can assure you that Luna Naomi will be safe, comfortable and perfectly fine with me. I promise I will not hurt her."

Levi was quiet for all before he let go of my hand and sighed. "Hurry back and don't misbehave, or else. And if you're not back in ten minutes then I'm coming in."

I rolled my eyes and nodded my head at his possessive antics. Doctor Harris led me back into the door he came in and led me to a bathroom.

He reached his hand into his doctors coat and pulled out a small tube. He handed it to me and gave me a smile.

"All you have to do is-"

I stepped into the bathroom and pushed him back. "Yes, doctor, I know how to pee in a cup." I slammed the door on his face and stared at myself in the mirror.

"Things will be okay, Naomi. You will go home, Naomi." I encouraged myself before peeing in the cup and washing my hands.

When I came out the doctor was standing outside the door, leaning on the wall.

"Must you stand so close to the door?"I questioned him, bothered.

He scratched the back of his neck, "sorry.. I heard about you running away and didn't want to get either of us in trouble."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." I handed him the tube and he sadly stared at my neck. "You should put some ice on that." Is all he mumbled before he led me back to Levi. Him and Charlotte were still flirting.

It made me so angry, I wanted to get back at him. I wanted to do something that make him feel the same rage I felt every time he paid more attention to her, than me.

So as soon as Levi's eyes landed on mine I smirked at him and pulled Doctor Harris's arm, smashing my lips onto his.

Payback, alpha.
